“Ryan did an amazing job caring for all my dogs while I was away. I could tell by the photos he sent that they really liked him and felt confident with him. I would highly recommend Ryan!”

“Sara was amazing watching our dog. We were given updates and pictures while we were on our trip to put our minds at ease. Our dog loved her and was well taken care of. She left our house super clean after staying there for a week. It can be hard to put faith and trust into someone to watch your house and pet that you love, but we are so glad we found Sara to take care of our dog. Would highly recommend”

“Alyssa went above and beyond! Alyssa was great and was in contact when our one dog had an upset tummy. Took such great care of the boys and had the house looking better than when we left it. Will definitely book with Alyssa again!”

About: I’m a construction business owner who likes to stay active during my slow winter months. This usually means traveling abroad but if I’m staying local I like to get out and play with dogs. I’ve always felt a connection with them, speaking their language and body language from a sassy female husky who has perfecting the side-eye and eye roll made me adept and more self conscious dog owner. I am a very responsible person, I don’t take my duties lightly as I know what a pet means to someone. That is your baby your family and I am mature enough to handle things well. I’ve had dogs/ owned/ fostered dogs my entire life. I find dogs much more enjoyable than most people. If I do rarely attend a party, I’m the one outside playing with the dog I’m new on here so my prices are low. This does not reflect the quality of service or care I provide. If reviews would be helpful from the business I run, you can find my company “Gaia Gutters” in buffalo and see what my gutter customer think of me. In my free time I like to do yoga, snowboard, read, cook, and overthink my life. I’m chasing equanimity in all aspects of life and closing to live a well intentioned life. I’m going to India next year for a celebration of dogs for a whole week. I can’t wait. If you want to reach out, feel free. Thanks for reading this far I’m free anytime. Things are slow at my other job so I can help around the clock. I think I covered this in my bio but I have to write something here I can walk them, take them to a park, let them out In your yard, however you want me to take care of them I’m pretty flexible

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
About: I’ve grown up caring for dogs, cats, lizards, and hamsters! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly adore pets of all kinds. Whether they’re energetic, shy, scaly, fluffy, or somewhere in between, I treat every animal like my own best friend. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible morning schedule and the ability to create my own hours. I love spending as much time as possible with the animals, making sure they feel loved, stay active and engaged through play, and are always safe and well cared for. I live in an apartment complex, so I generally take my dog out every few hours so he can get his exercise, use the bathroom, and enjoy the outdoors. I do the same with those I’m sitting for!
“Joslyn took great care of my dog & cat for several days while I was on vacation. She was responsive, caring & responsible. She even won over my reserved dog who has separation anxiety! I highly recommend her!”

“Mickey took excellent care of our dog and cat (and chickens!). She was responsive and proactive, and sent photos and updates to ease our minds while we were on our vacation. We were happy to have her staying in our home, and she even brought her own items over to help with dog care (e.g., a retractable leash, an extra outdoor line). We highly recommend Mickey and hope to have her sit for us every time we travel out of town.”

“Rebecca was wonderful! She was communicative and provided pics of the dogs and asked questions as needed. We will absolutely check her availability next time chewy and Iggy need a sitter!”

“This was our first time using a sitter on Rover (and someone who wasn't family) so we were a little nervous with how our dogs would handle it. We've also never had a stranger watch our house before so we were grateful we could trust Shelby right away. As soon as my dogs met Shelby I could tell they would be fine. She has a calming, quiet presence which was perfect for my nervous pitties. I could tell immediately she was a dog lover. She followed instructions exactly and left everything just as she found it. Our shy kitties even came out while she was here so we knew everyone was in good hands. She even stayed longer when our flight was delayed which provided a lot of peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Shelby again!”

“Jackie was amazing with our dog, Kiwi! She was super flexible with our schedule, even when we changed it three times. Kiwi took to her right away, which was such a relief. Jackie sent us adorable pictures, giving us peace of mind that Kiwi was having a great time. She played with, walked, and fed Kiwi, really going the extra mile. I can't recommend Jackie enough for anyone looking for a dog sitter! We definitely plan to reach out to her for our next pet-sitting needs. Thank you, Jackie!!”

“Margaret was a wonderful pet sitter to our dog Lily. She stayed at our home to make sure our anxious doggy stayed in her normal routine. Margaret send me pictures of Lily so I could see that she was happy as can be! She also updated me often so I knew exactly how Lily was doing. I appreciate Margaret taking the time to do these things. Lily and I both agree that Margaret was a great pet sitter and would love to have her back again!”

About: Loving and caring for my pets as well as those of others’ has been such a joy in my life and I offer that same love, care and attention to your best friends! Whether you need overnight stays or drop-in services, I’d love to meet your fur babies and keep them happy, healthy and safe until their best friends return. I’m currently retired and am very flexible time-wise. I’m available any day of the week, as overnight stays, or everyday of the week from 7-9ish. About: (**175/day cash) I have always been very good with animals. Sensing their energy allows me to handle their attitude in different situations, enabling me to care for them in the best ways possible. I love to play in their favorite ways and could brush or pet them all day. I would strive to make your pet happy:) Friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets knowing I am an avid animal lover, and I am relatively confident in saying most animals love me! Whatever makes your pet happiest is what I would enjoy doing, because bringing animals joy is my favorite things to do. My availability is flexible currently so if you’re interested shoot me a message! My every day schedule is build around caring for our animals. I wake up and the first thing I do is feed mouse (our cat). Then I bring the ducks (blueberry, broccolini, Beansprout, bubbles) out to forage. Throughout the day I play with mouse as she expresses a need for it and the ducks are allowed to forage as long as they behave. Mouse then gets dinner around 4 and that’s around when the ducks go in for the night, sometimes let out later for an evening roam before bed. I keep Metal’s (bearded dragon) food and water bowl full and he gets weekly showers, he has become less energetic with age so he has less interest in roaming outside his tank than in his youth. I talk to them like they’re children, as many pet parents do. They recognize some words I use regularly, mouse (our cat) has learned “sit” for when she’s begging for food. The ducks (blueberry, broccolini, Beansprout, bubbles) know “very good” as positive reinforcement for good behaviors. They also know wow and stretch as admiration for their regular preening and, well, stretching!
“Vanessa is such a kind individual, and our puppy loved her right away. We are so lucky we found her to watch our little fur baby, and our little guy is so lucky to have had such a great play date! Thanks, Vanessa!”

North Boston pet parents share their Rover experiences
Bri was communicative and took such good care of our pets (a senior dog, a cat and a fish) while we were away for the weekend. She also took great care of the house and was kind enough to bring in the mail and packages that arrived while we were away. We arrived home to happy pets who were obviously well cared for. I would definitely ask Bri to help us out again. Thank you Bri!

Daucoda took such great care of my 2 dogs over Christmas! My one dog injured herself and she quickly took her to the vet and ensured she was doing well the remainder of the visit and gave me updates. She has even ran over to my house to let my dog out when she locked herself in a bathroom. She truly cares about the dogs and I’d trust her with my fur babies anytime
