“Amanda was a fantastic dog sitter to our two dogs, Sammy and Apollo. She was especially great with our dog, Apollo, who can be temperamental. She was very patient with him and made sure he felt comfortable. Amanda is also very good at sending updates and photos so I always knew they were taken care of. Thank you Amanda, the boys look forward to seeing you again soon!”

“If I could give Katy 100 stars, I would. She helped us out when our pet sitter bailed out on us at the last minute and I was at the airport just before boarding our flight arranging for a back up sitter. She also helped us with an unexpected errand of being on hand for the Uber courier when we needed help with that. Katy is great about communicating, which is very important to us, and she took very good care of our cats.”

“Aneesa was absolutely AMAZING!!! I cannot thank her enough for the hard work my furry children put her through!!! 😅 She chased and wrangled the bunnies around the house who kept finding ways to escape and was extremely patient with my old man pup who was aggressively protective for the first couple of days, and eventually became great friends after a while! I was so stressed about the chaos as I was away but Aneesa kept calm and had everything under control as well as kept coming up with new ideas to keep things under control until the next check in. She’s so sweet she even took my trash bin back from the road and brought in all my packages that arrived at my doorstep. I would 10000000% recommend her for any of your fur baby needs while you’re away!”

“Maryellen took such amazing care of my two cats while I was away — it was a big relief knowing my babies were in good hands. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly love animals. I received daily updates and photos, and the cats looked relaxed and happy. When I got home, everything was clean and just as I left it. It’s hard to find someone you can trust with your pets, but Maryellen is that person. I’ll definitely continue to book with her.”

“Fantastic! A blessing that she was available last minute. We are traveling with our 2 dogs. She came over & sat with them so we could go out. They were so comfortable with her that 1 curled up next to her & was snoring. Tricia was good with them & very nice. I highly recommend.”

“Anna is wonderful! We needed someone last minute to pop in on our kitties while we were away, and Anna was so helpful, communicative, and friendly. We were so lucky to have found her and would love to work with her again! 100% recommend.”

“went home for the holidays and ashton was amazing at coming in and feeding my cat! very responsive and reliable! i felt like my cat was in perfect hands while i was away <3”

“We had to take a last minute trip out of town for a few days. Having booked Elizabeth before, there was no question as to whether we wanted to book her again. She goes above and beyond. There is never a lack of communication, she sends lots of pictures, reaches out with concerns, and is extremely attentive. Elizabeth has eased our mind while away.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs, and helped out with others my entire life. Twice in my life we raised a puppy and I helped in training them in tricks and the potty. I also cared for our senior dog who was blind almost solely for 3 years. I love dogs and cats and I just want to help out. I currently work at restaurants on a rotating schedule so my availability fluctuates, but I am always available in the mornings before 11:30am. I would be fully comfortable taking a pet out super early, say 6am, and returning for a later morning session before going to work. I normally get off between 7-9pm, and I would of course return to let them out and play with them after that. My least busy days of the week are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday as those days I don’t normally work the entire day, either 11:30-5 or 4-8. I am super flexible and will accommodate as best I can without my schedule! I love to play with dogs and cats, fetch or tug of war are some of my dogs favorites. But I also love to take dogs on walks, I don’t mind pulling dogs or dogs that run, I can keep up. If a dog needs a little extra attention, and I have the time, I love to pet dogs and cuddle with them. I mostly just want to make the dogs comfortable while their owners are away.
“I do not have enough kind words to express how loving and caring Lily and Philip were with our 2 babies. They were punctual, flexible, and very understanding of each dog’s need. I especially loved the amount of pictures they sent and the comments they put for every visit. They were very understanding and willing to make my dogs feel as comfortable as possible. One of my dogs have always been wary of strangers and he took to them as if he had known Lily and Philip for a long time. That said a lot to me about them. I trust them completely and will choose them every time for our dogs’ sitting needs. Lily and Philip, I appreciate every sweet detail you had with Keiki and Ava! You are exceptional at what you do! Our deepest gratitude to you. 🐶🐶❤️❤️”

“Carissa was so wonderful and considerate with my puppy. She was always prompt and respectful. I loved her updates and pictures. I am very grateful for how good she was to my baby. :)”

“I will def use Destiny again. Expectations exceeded! Put care into her visits and understood little mishaps. Spent personal time with my pup knowing she was bored. My pup loved her as well.”

About: Hi, my name is Mackenzie, and I love being outside and seeing happy dogs on walks! I grew up with a dog that I loved dearly, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time inside and outside with him! Since his passing, I have gotten a little over a year of experience petsitting and dog-walking, and am looking to expand and help more families keep their fur babies happy! Whether that be by dropping by for a walk and some tummy rubs, or hanging out while you’re on vacation, I am ready and excited to help out! I’m a high energy person who loves playing with and caring for dogs; please contact me if you think I could be a good pet for your best friend! I have also become a big cat person in my personal life! I have cats of my own and I love them very much. They both have some minor medical conditions that require prescription feeding and monitoring, so I am used to sensitive kitties who need a little extra love. I would love to help care for cats in the area, so other cat people can travel and vacation and have time away from home knowing that their furbaby is well cared for and loved in their absence! I work from home and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule, so I am available throughout the day for feeding, walking, playing, and relaxing with your pets! I am very detail oriented and can ensure that the care your pet receives from me mimics the care they receive from you, to keep your furbaby comfortable and relaxed while you're away!
“Honey was so good with my fur and feather babies! This is my first time leaving everyone with a sitter in a very long time and she really put me at ease. I cannot recommend her services enough!”

Laura is an amazing cat sitter! We have used her many times, and plan to in the future. She sends daily pictures of the cats and updates while we are away. She goes above and beyond and takes great care of the house too. We can always depend on her for great care for our beloved pets while we are away.
Ashton was awesome. She is very personable and easy to communicate with. We got notes and pictures from her daily. Our one cat hid most of the time, but she found him or monitored food. The other two decided that she is the best thing ever! While we were gone, we had a tree come down at thw top of our very long driveway. Ashton willingly walked in from the top and took care of them. Will absolutely have her back again.

Angela was an absolute gem of a cat sitter! She took such loving care of my two Maine Coon cats, Bella and Hobbes, treating them like her own. From the start, her communication was excellent—she kept me updated with daily messages and adorable photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she took the time to understand both of their unique personalities and routines. Her thoughtful touches and genuine affection for animals made all the difference. I came home to two happy, relaxed cats and a tidy home. I can’t recommend Angela enough—she’s a true animal lover and fantastic sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norge. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
