I am available 7 days/week: mornings, afternoons and evenings (up until 8:00 pm.) I am a retired school librarian so I have a very flexible schedule.

I enjoy interacting with cats. Besides feeding and scooping the litter I will stay and play with, sit with and talk with your cat(s). Each cat has a different disposition so I can provide as much or little interaction as needed. If it just means sitting and reading or embroidering so that the cat feels my presence I am happy to do that.

A typical day
My goal is to entertain your cat when I visit so that he/she can experience some fun while you are away. We will play "Chase the Treat" and/or with one of your toys or one that I bring over. For example, the "Chirp & Chase" motorized ball, Feather Wand or Laser Pointer. Weather permitting, I will open a screened window so that your cat can listen to outdoor sounds during my visit.

Cat care experience
I only take care of cats (not dogs.) Why? because I have owned a cat ever since I was a young child and adore them! Currently, an Orange Tabby and Calico are part of our family. I spend most of the time during a visit playing, talking and interacting with your cat. I will often bring a new toy to make the visit fun for him/her. If your cat enjoys being brushed I will gladly do that too. Of course I will feed, freshen the water, scoop the litter and do anything else that you normally do to keep your cat's living areas clean. I like to broom or vacuum stray litter to keep your floor clean.

Laura is an amazing cat sitter! We have used her many times, and plan to in the future. She sends daily pictures of the cats and updates while we are away. She goes above and beyond and takes great care of the house too. We can always depend on her for great care for our beloved pets while we are away.
Laura was great with my cats. She was attentive to them and kept me informed of any possible problems. They warmed up to her really fast.
