“Wow!! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Thu Hang! She watched both of our loving, but playful fur boys. She did such a great job of playing with them and giving them time outside in her fenced yard to run around. Then they can inside and she cuddled them and loved on them like they were her own. She sent tons pics and updates to let us know they were well taken care of!! We will definitely ask Thu Hang to watch them again. I think Otto and Murphy considered her house their second home!😊”

“Excellent communication!! Quick and thorough responses. I got lots of photos and an update each day. My dog was happy and playing when I picked her up. I would definitely book with Angie again!”

“Jenn, Regan, and Joseph were great! Loved the photos and updates. The girls had a big yard to play in which was so nice! Definitely recommend and will book with them in the future.”

“My dog came home so happy. Tatum is the best. She sends everyday a picture of my dog while walking to the dog park, sleeping after a long day. I know shes well taking care of. she cleans all her stuff before going home. I cant say thank you enough.”

“Heather was so amazing. She was patient with whiskey, sent pictures everyday, worked with my dog when he broke out of his crate and let me know when his food is low! The dogs have so much room to play and run around. 10/10 recommend her!”

“My Mei was well taken care of Joel and his wife took very good care communicated every single day sent photos the show progress that they were making with my baby and I was very satisfied with her. She was very well behaved when she came home and I would definitely rebook with them again. it was like she was being taken care of by family.”

“Katrina was awesome! We had to book last minute to take care of a family emergency out of state and she was friendly and communitive the whole time. Bacon and Bani enjoyed all the cuddles and playing with her sweet dog.”

“Kyra was amazing with our two dogs. Drop off and pick up were super easy. She had a beautiful back yard for them to play in along with a lovely home for them to cool off and be lazy in. I received updates on their stay along with acute photo. I'm already rebooking with her again!”

“Jessamy was awesome with our Loki. It can be difficult for Loki to open up to new people and surroundings but Loki felt comfortable almost immediately as I can tell from all the videos and photos of Loki provided to us by Jessamy. It was easy communicating with Jessamy before and during Loki’s stay and I was always at ease. Loki loved playing around with Artie and it just felt like the perfection match. It looked like there was plenty of activity for Loki which I look for with sitters since Loki can have a lot of energy. We will be utilizing Jessamy’s services again in the future and I would highly recommend her for anyone’s pup.”

“Kelly watched my dog Red for the weekend. They became best friends fast. He didn't want to come home with me he loved her and her family so much. She kept me updated with photos and texts throughout the weekend. Amazing. We will be using her again.”

“It was obvious that our dog Chewy enjoyed his time with Rose and her family by the way he acted when I picked him up and since that time. He was not frantic to get away and come to me that day and since then he has not acted especially needy or clingy. They treated him like family and Rose even went the extra mile to get Chewy to eat when he decided he didn't want his normal dog food anymore. She also sent me daily pictures and updates on how he was doing. We would gladly bring Chewy to stay with Rose again.”

“Ashli was absolutely amazing. Our kitties absolutely love them. They are such kind people. We received continuous updates with photos and even videos. We will absolutely use them again.”

“Sara is great! My dog is always happy after staying with Sara and she is very accommodating with my schedule changes. I also love the daily photos she sends of playtime”

“We had an excellent experience with Maria while our Bernese Mountain Dog stayed with her for nearly two weeks. She did a wonderful job managing his changing energy levels—keeping him active when he was playful while also giving him plenty of time to relax when he needed it. One of the things we appreciated most was the daily updates. She consistently sent pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind and let us see how happy and well cared for he was throughout his stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dog and treated him like one of her own. We came home to a happy, healthy pup, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring dog sitter.”

About: I have been around animals and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember. I am comfortable around all dogs and I am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your fur baby. When I come to take care of, play with, or walk your fur baby I will dedicate my time to loving them. When staying with me I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away! I like to build trust, communicate and personalize your fur babies stay so you both feel at ease. I am currently home full time and I am available for drop ins when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. I will take your fur baby on a walk to use the restroom since I don’t have a gated yard but if that’s a worry, I also have access to a few gated dog parks for your fur baby to run around and use the restroom.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who would be thrilled to care for your pets like they’re part of my own family. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have had cats for the past 7 years. My home is currently filled with 7 animals of my own—2 dogs and 5 cats! They’re definitely my favorite part of home life (other than my husband, of course lol). I regularly care for the pets of my family and friends, including my brother-in-law’s dog, who I watch very frequently, as well as my family’s 2 dogs and cat. I also occasionally care for a close friend’s dog. One of my longer pet-sitting experiences was caring for my cousin’s dog for 3 months while she recovered from a broken leg. We are an extremely pet-friendly household and genuinely love having animals around. When friends come over, we’re always telling them to bring their pets! My schedule is currently completely open, and as an at-home wife, I’m able to be home with your pets for the majority of the day most days. I’m happy to provide plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, walks, and cuddles so your pets feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of animals and would love the opportunity to get to know your pets and their individual personalities and routines. I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I would want for my own. Our home is a very pet-friendly and welcoming environment, and our own pets are a huge part of our everyday life. We currently have 2 dogs and 5 cats, so we’re very comfortable with animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. Because I’m an at-home wife, I’m home the majority of the day and can provide frequent supervision, attention, and companionship. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions you provide. We have a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely get outside, play, and enjoy some fresh air. We also live right next to a park and creek, which gives us plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor time for pets who enjoy exploring. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel confident that they’re being cared for, loved, and treated like family while they’re with me. I also understand that not every pet is comfortable around other animals. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s personality and needs beforehand and make sure we have a plan that keeps everyone comfortable and safe. For pets who need or are more comfortable with their own separate space, we also run available to set up kennel(s). I’m happy to accommodate individual needs and make sure every pet has a safe and comfortable environment. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel confident that they’re being cared for, supervised, loved, and treated like family while they’re with me.

Elle took care of my dog as though he were jer own and he was even sad to leave when I picked him up! She accepted my booking on very short notice and was flexible with the length of stay and pick-up time. She also sent me plenty of updates with pictures throughout and was quick to communicate. I highly recommend her and will be bringing my dog back!

I had an amazing experience with Destiny as our dog babysitter! She was super caring, attentive, and really understood my dog's needs. My pup came back happy and relaxed, and I felt totally confident leaving them in her care. Highly recommend Destiny if you want someone trustworthy and loving for your furry friend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
