“Shane and his family took amazing care of shadow. Shadow enjoyed playing with Pepper and Shane with his family. Would recommend him to anyone who needs a pet sitter. It was also amazing I received pictures and updates everyday!!”

“Rachunda took excellent care of my baby. When I got there to pick her up her tail was just a wagging and that lets me know Minkah was comfortable with her surroundings. She was also playful with the other dogs. 10/10 would recommend her to friends and family. I will also use her again for my pet sitter.”

“Josh is always awesome! Takes great care of my 2 labs and he even took my Coosa to vet due to blood in her urine while I was out of town. Made sure my girl was taken care of. Josh is super awesome with his animals and treats mine like one of his own. Couldn’t recommend him anymore!”

“My husband took his truck to the dealership and had to stay overnight. Rose was amazing at last minute by bring the dogs home. Just grateful for Rose bridging in the gap for us for our pups.”

“Took great care of Max for an extended period of time, 2.5 weeks. Received frequent updates throughout his stay and he looked happy and playful in each photo. Highly recommend!”
“First time using Rover and we were so skeptical about it. I found Rowan’s profile and seen the amazing reviews and it made us feel better about having our pups with her! One of our pups was very shy at first, but it took him about a day to be comfortable. She sent daily updates and pictures! Seeing the dogs so happy in the photos and comfortable with her and her family was so reassuring. She was very understanding of our anxiety about leaving the pups with someone new, so she made us feel as comfortable as possible. We also had a meet & greet before the dog’s stay to get to know her and the place they would be staying. The dogs came back super happy & very tired because of all the space they had to run around! Super happy with this experience! Thank you, Rowan!”

“Katrina is a true professional and possibly a dog whisperer.-lol. All jokes aside, she kept my husband and I abreast and never had us wondering or second guessing, while on our vacation. She also provided multiple pics to indicate real- time status of our furby. I highly recommend her and her impeccable services.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Ms. Jessamy! She was pleasant, professional, and incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. My dog clearly had an amazing time. I received plenty of photos and videos throughout his stay, which gave me complete peace of mind. I also received daily summaries and that truly set her apart. Her communication, care, and attention to detail were exceptional. I felt confident the entire time that my dog was in great hands. I will absolutely be rebooking with her and only her! I highly recommend Ms. Jessamy to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality care. Thank you again!”

“Sara is amazing AGAIN! I’m always satisfied when I pick up my babies ❤️ Thank you Sara for being amazing and taking care of my babies! ❤️ We’ll see you again the next time I go out of town 😁”

“This is Izzy's third visit within two months. Our first visit was last minute due to a cancellation, and I needed to change the drop-off time for this visit. However, Cassie is always accommodating.”

“My Mei was well taken care of Joel and his wife took very good care communicated every single day sent photos the show progress that they were making with my baby and I was very satisfied with her. She was very well behaved when she came home and I would definitely rebook with them again. it was like she was being taken care of by family.”

“Krysta was absolutely wonderful! We did a meet and greet beforehand and our pup immediately took to her. She was very communicative and flexible and kept us up to date with photos and videos. Our pup can be a Velcro dog but it didn’t bother her and it was very obvious our pup had a great time with her. We will not hesitate to reach out to Krysta again for our pet sitting needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of many pets from small dogs to big dogs. My sister works in the vet field and has came home with a million rescue dogs to take care. I learned how each dog/ breed is unique and that each provides different care which is important. I’m currently a SAHM! So I give pets a lot of playtime. Try to take them on daily walks around 6 with the family :) I have a fenced backyard so dogs can go out and enjoy themselves. Since I have a kid, everything in my home is child proof, so they will both be safe from getting hurt
“Trey was great to work with. It's always stressful finding a good dog sitter, someone you can trust your four-legged family member to while you go out of town. We met with Trey in person with the dogs a few days before their stay. When we arrived to drop them off the dogs were excited. We received photos from Trey during their stay. The dogs were happy when we came to pick them up. I could tell they had been well cared for during their stay. So thankful we found Trey! Looking forward to our next trip.”

“Finding Maria on Rover was a blessing to me and my son. While we were out of town for Thanksgiving, Flash stayed with Maria. She took excellent care of Flash. And sent pictures every day. I definitely will be a repeat customer. Thank you Maria!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
