“Kiirsten was a great communicator before and during her care of my old, blind dog. I was confident that the dog was in a good place, which made my vacation stress free. Easy drop off and pick up. The experience couldn't have been better.”

“They were very good about sending pics of my dog. Also, very accommodating with drop off & pickup of my dog. My dog can be very anxious and did well with their very laid back animals.”

“Steven and Diane were great. They have excellent communication, sent us photos, and sent home Lutsen all tuckered out. Thanks so much guys! Can’t wait to bring Lutsen your way again soon.”

“Both Peg and Greg were lovely people. After meeting them and getting to know them, I felt very comfortable with my dog Pete being there. I was able to give them a list of instructions and felt confident they’d follow it and take good care of Pete. I was also able to receive an abundance of pictures of my dog and what they were up to while I was gone. I loved all the pictures! I also love that they book 1 dog at a time so I knew my dog wouldn’t be with other dogs he didn’t know. They took wonderful care of my dog and I could tell he was happy with them. Would 100% book again!”

“Jennifer is terrific! Our meet and greet went great and our Willa immediately bonded with Jennifer and her dogs. It was obvious visiting with her that she loves dogs and Willa would be well cared for by Jennifer. During Willa’s stay, Jennifer sent us a couple of videos and a photo of Willa enjoying her visit and told us about Willa’s 2 hour visit to the dog park. Will definitely contact Jennifer the next time we need a caring and safe place when we take a trip where Willa can’t go with us.”

“We would highly recommend Eileen as a dog watcher/over night visits at her home. This isn’t our first or last time having her watch my little girl while I need led to go out of town. Eileen is thoughtful in pictures and videos and explaining something that happened each day. It is our pleasure to work and know Eileen.”

“I highly recommend Lori. She did a wonderful job watching our dog for a week while we were on vacation. She offered to meet with us in advance so our dog was able to check everything out. This made us (and our dog) more comfortable with the stay. She took great care of him and even sent us a few photos during the week. This was great for our 3 kids who missed him quite a bit. We could tell he was given lots of love and attention. Seriously could not recommend Lori more highly.”

“Looking at videos shared by Charlene, Bubba seemed to have good time This was Bubba’s first time stay with someone outside of our family and friends that Bubba is familiar with”

“Chelsie and her family were not only amazing and patient with Tilly, welcoming her into their home while we were away, but she was incredibly flexible with our ever changing travel schedule. Due to weather that prevented us from getting home when we originally anticipated, Chelsie was extremely understanding and accommodating to help extend Tilly’s stay with her family. This was so helpful by taking one thing off of our already stressful plates. Thank you for everything, Chelsie!”

“Jeremiah and family are so caring and loving with our dear dog!! Started with daycare 3 nights and moved on to boarding for 6 nights!! Our doodle was very well loved and taken care of. Highly recommend this family!”

“Brittany took great care of our dog while we were on a two week vacation! She was a responsive communicator and followed instructions to care for our dog. She also sent pictures and updates. We will definitely use Brittany again!”

“Carine & her family took care of my Zeus, and I would definitely recommend. She sent updates, photos, and little videos at a regular basis to let me know how he was doing. He was happy & comfortable with them, and I would rebook. Thanks so much!”

“Baylyn and her family were great with our 2 pups this past weekend! We received update photos throughout the weekend which we really appreciated! It was awesome seeing that our pups were being loved and cuddled while we were away. They were clearly well exercised and played with as they slept the entire day when they got home. Will rebook!”
“Our “little man” had such a great time here. I totally loved the communication everyday on his well being and care. We love that you loved him like your own A and T!”

“Katie was great with Rudy! She gave him plenty of attention, went on many walks, and sent us several pictures throughout the week. I was confident Rudy was in wonderful hands while we were gone!”

“I’m so happy with Bernie’s first stay with Melissa! She received lots of attention and love, and was very comfortable there. Melissa was great with communication and all the details of my girls needs. Looking forward to her next stay!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Prague
I took our 2 labs to Lexi for boarding this weekend. Lexi was so easy to work with, and most importantly, our labs received wonderful care. I loved that her very large backyard was fenced, which gave our dogs plenty of space to run around, without the fear of them running off. Lexi even sent multiple pictures and updates of how things were going. I was extremely pleased with her care for our dogs, and will definitely use her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
