“Elizabeth helped to care for my 2 cats while I was away for almost 4 weeks. Elizabeth was responsible and spent a lot of time with my cats. One of my cats is very skittish but he warmed up to Elizabeth quickly. She followed my instructions and kept me updated on each of her visits. I came home knowingly cats were taken care of and they enjoyed her visit. She did a great job for me!”

“Jacqueline was amazing! She was so easy to get in touch with, super communicative, and was right on time for the drop-in. She sent pictures and videos playing with my cat. She has a clear love for animals and treated my cat with kindness. Will definitely book again!!”

“Samantha and Jerry were fantastic. Zara, our cat, was happy and well cared for when we came home. We got great pictures of her being brushed, eating, and drinking throughout their visits. Would 100% recommend.”

“Anna was a wonderful sitter for our two cats. She communicated clearly and consistently, sending updates and photos after each visit. She was patient and attentive to both of our kitties’ individual needs, showing genuine care and compassion. She truly went above and beyond—we highly recommend!”

“This is the first time we've used Rover and previously always had the benefit of a family member to watch Cinni when away. With only a couple of weeks, we suddenly needed to find an alternative. After scouring reviews on Rover we contacted Lisa M, who very fortunately for us was available. Lisa M arrived promptly at the schedule time each day to care for Cinni and provided thorough updates that quickly set our minds at ease and provided us with some great photos of our kitty. Furthermore, Lisa M was able to successfully medicate Cinni each visit, and those cat owners whose pets require medication know how challenging this can be. Based on our experience enthusiastically recommend Lisa M for anyone else who needs a cat sitter and will be contacting her as soon as I schedule our next trip to ensure she is available to care for Cinni.”

“This was the first time that Michelle dropped in on Cuddles. She gave her food, water and a clean litter box. Cuddles is not a friendly cat and seems very happy that Michelle was there to provide for her. I would definitely ask Michelle to care for Cuddles again.”

About: I am a med student student who loves animals. I have been dog-sitting since I was a freshman in high school. I started off caring for an elderly dog who had a difficult time walking. I have also worked with a dog who had a limp due to an injured leg and needed to be given medication on time. With each time I sit, I give a summary at the end so that you can also know what your furry friend has been up to. Along with all the dogs I have worked with I also own an adopted dog. My family and I adopted him in my sophomore year of high school. He has taught me to be very patient and aware of his needs. I enjoy baking peanut butter cookies to feed him and have baked them for other clients. I am a great sitter because I will care for your dog as if it is my own. I will attend to his or her every need along with baking him/her treats. Something I can provide that others may not be able to provide is long walks along the National Mall. I am a dancer and enjoy going for runs. If a dog is able to, I would love to go for a run with him or her. I am a good sitter because I provide care that exceeds one's expectations. I have school for 2 hours on most days. Therefore pet care fits into my schedule easily. I enjoy going on walks which provide the perfect exercise for dogs. I also like baking and I tend to bake treats for my pets. I don't have a fence, however, I am at my desk when I am working. So I will be able to provide constant company to your pet. I love to go on walks and will take the pet as often as they need. I do not have my own yard, however, I do have a small fenced-in area I can take the dog for play time.
“Samantha was so great with Ofelia. I have a moody cat and she was so patient and sweet to her. She would be on time every visit and send me pictures every single time. Quick to respond and super responsable. She even went above and beyond on many other things. Can’t recommend her enough 🫶🏼🐱”

“Karlos was awesome with our 5 kitties and dropped by before we left for vacay so that we could show him the rundown of where everything was. He was flexible and accommodating of our feeding and litter box times and asked questions whenever he was unsure. He provided us with details and photos of my furbabies during each visit. One of my girls has IBS and he would send us pictures of her food dish to make sure she was getting her RX food. Another one of my girls tends to sometimes pee outside of the litter box and Karlos would inform us if she did and mop up the urine. And to top it all off, he was patient and caring towards my kitties (which means a great deal in a world where an animals life isn't considered as precious as a humans).”

“Diane walked our 10 year old Husky for the first time today. He’s 80lbs of fluff and we knew he was well taken care of when we came home to his happy calm state. Seeing the photos made us feel comfortable that he was in the best of hands. We look forward to having Diane walk Bruno once again.”
“Peggy was wonderful I will definitely be calling her again. She took great care of my dogs my dogs really loved her. Peggy really went above and beyond for my dogs. Great service and wonderful person.”

About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting for my friends for the past 3 years. I’m looking to expand my horizons and make new furry friends along the way :) My schedule varies a bit because I’m currently in med school, but on any of my days off, I’d love to spend time with some fur buddies! I’m a huge lover of animals. I’ll follow all the directions you have set for your pet’s care, and go the extra mile to keep them feeling happy.
About: I’ve taken care of all my family pets as well as my friends pets too. I don’t mind bathing or walking them, feeding as well of course. I do work a full time job, but I get out early so I have time of course and why not walk some cute pups. I do have pets at home, 2 cats who are free to roam, but I do have 2 pet Carriers and a gate if needed.
“WOW WOW WOW JASPER FUREVER!!! My apartment looked amazing when I came back, no messes anywhere! I can tell Jasper took really good care of my two cats and I will be using Jasper exclusively to cat sit from here on out! Thank you so much!!!”

New Hyde Park cat parents share their Rover experiences
Jacqueline was fantastic with our cats while we were away. We have a few shy ones who Jacqueline won over in short order. You could tell how well cared for they were while we were gone. We’ve had other sitters who we see the cats sleeping every visit. Here Jacqueline had them up and playing! I think they were sad to see us come home ha. Thank you so much Jacqueline for giving us such a wonderful peace of mind.
