Mara and her flexibility are the only reason I stayed sane throughout my ordeal- knowing above all my family was taken care of. 10/10. About: In the last decade+ I've taken care of half a dozen dogs and nearly a dozen cats for friends and through word-of-mouth, including a very senior chihuahua who was blind and deaf and needed diapers changed. I always had cats and dogs around growing up, including two difficult dogs from shelters who had issues. I live with an energetic pit-lab mix, and my parents' three rescue cats are still my sweeties. In the past I volunteered at an animal shelter, helping to socialize cats and walk dogs. I hike every day if I can, so if your dog enjoys vigorous exercise on trails, I can provide that too! I'm an adjunct college professor and freelance writer, so my work is part-time or sporadic, with much of it being done at home. If I'm available, I'll have plenty of time to linger and give attention to your pets! About: My aunts and friends have always had dogs, so growing up I had a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I’ve helped my aunt train her excited Chocolate Lab puppy, taken care of my friend’s barky, 11 pound Mini Pinscher while they were away, and helped feed, walk, and play with my own household’s anxious, raw diet mut, Sheila. I know how to love and take care of any type of dog—from loudly outgoing to shy! I just finished my sophomore year of college and am looking to help care for anyone’s pets this summer. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.

About: I’ve had dogs for my entire life! I’ve been dog sitting for neighbors as well as family since I was 14. I am a total animal lover and look forward to being around them. I’m also a medically focused student for those who may have an elderly dog or one that needs a little extra care or medicine administrations.
