I spent my summers in high school working with horses before working at my first dog daycare and haven’t stopped working with dogs since! About: I am a pet sitter. I will pick up your dog(s) and take them to the park, TAM trail. On leash/off leash. Care for them at your home or mine. I am a full time stay at home mom and caregiver to my daughter with special needs who is in school during the day. I also have a teenaged son in the high school as well. We love animals and this work allows us to have a pet without all of the responsibilities and allows me to work in a flexible way that is important for my family. About: In the last decade+ I've taken care of half a dozen dogs and nearly a dozen cats for friends and through word-of-mouth, including a very senior chihuahua who was blind and deaf and needed diapers changed. I always had cats and dogs around growing up, including two difficult dogs from shelters who had issues. I live with an energetic pit-lab mix, and my parents' three rescue cats are still my sweeties. In the past I volunteered at an animal shelter, helping to socialize cats and walk dogs. I hike every day if I can, so if your dog enjoys vigorous exercise on trails, I can provide that too! I'm an adjunct college professor and freelance writer, so my work is part-time or sporadic, with much of it being done at home. If I'm available, I'll have plenty of time to linger and give attention to your pets! I'll follow your lead on what situations you're comfortable with for your pet, in terms of where I bring your dog for a walk, how they interact with other animals and people, etc.

She did twice daily drop ins and walks with my 3 Australian shepherds and kitty in my camper and followed all my crazy routines/ niche camper instructions to a T. She was timely, communicative and I know my babies were loved on in my absence. My trip ended up being delayed >30 hours and ended up with 3 additional checkins. Mara and her flexibility are the only reason I stayed sane throughout my ordeal- knowing above all my family was taken care of. 10/10. About: My aunts and friends have always had dogs, so growing up I had a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I’ve helped my aunt train her excited Chocolate Lab puppy, taken care of my friend’s barky, 11 pound Mini Pinscher while they were away, and helped feed, walk, and play with my own household’s anxious, raw diet mut, Sheila. I know how to love and take care of any type of dog—from loudly outgoing to shy! I just finished my sophomore year of college and am looking to help care for anyone’s pets this summer. My schedule is open, so I am flexible to visit your pet whenever you need! I will gladly take your dog on a nice long walk and play with them around your backyard to release any pent up energy! Inside, I’m also up for playing with toys and giving lots of pets!

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. It brings me joy and fulfillment to care for pups and cats alike, while creating an environment where they (and you) can feel safe and earn my trust in the process. As a part time bartender at Pascolo Restaurant in Downtown Burlington, it would fit into my schedule to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon and early evening as well as weekends. There is a lot of freedom to work around your schedule :) In my home, I live off of Main Street in Vergennes and can provide safe walking around town as well as some of the trails near by. In your home, I am quick to adapt to whatever will make you most comfortable!

About: (I am currently unavailable for new bookings Thursday through Sunday.) My name is Casey, I'm a student majoring in creative writing, and I'm looking to expand my house sitting portfolio. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.

About: I am a dog lover and have owned dogs for 15 years. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I can help with puppy training and can administer any medications if necessary. I would love the opportunity to walk your dogs! Can do local early morning walks, afternoon breaks, after work walks, or evening/night time potty breaks! I have open availability. I would really enjoy the opportunity to get to know you and your fur babies. I'm open for all types of visits. I do work fulltime but can do early morning walks, lunch time breaks, evenings and weekends. My puppy is on a harness and leash. She is always contained or in my home. I have a yard but unfenced. About: I’ve had dogs for my entire life! I’ve been dog sitting for neighbors as well as family since I was 14. I am a total animal lover and look forward to being around them. I’m also a medically focused student for those who may have an elderly dog or one that needs a little extra care or medicine administrations. I’ve also been a house sitter for families and friends in my general area for many years! I am back in college for the year! My schedule for classes will vary but it’s pretty flexible and I have good chunks of time in between. I was able to make it work perfectly last year! I always do my best to give the pet my undivided attention. I enjoy hanging out with the pups, whether they want to play or just want to cuddle for a bit. I pride myself on being on time with bathroom breaks, meals, and walks to make sure the dogs are getting the best care possible!

About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. I have since changed my career but still pursue animal care in my free-time. This includes pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else you may need. From dogs and cats to bunnies and birds, I had it all growing up and this pet hobby has transcended into my adult life. I'm confident administering medications, trimming nails, scrubbing your fish tank, or simply walking and playing with your pets. My friends, coworkers, and family have relied on me for years for top notch pet care. I currently work from home full-time and therefore have a lot of flexibility to come care for and play with your pets! I take my own dog on walks, hikes, or to the dog park every day and would be glad to do the same with yours. Ample exercise = a happy pet! I care deeply for animals and will do all I can to keep them safe, happy, and health. I have a fenced-in yard in the New North End of Burlington that is perfect for supervised dog play and exploration. We are also just a 5 minute walk from the Starr Farm Dog Park. I follow all leash rules and will never let a dog go unsupervised while playing with a toy or eating a treat to eliminate choking hazards.
