About: In the last decade+ I've taken care of half a dozen dogs and nearly a dozen cats for friends and through word-of-mouth, including a very senior chihuahua who was blind and deaf and needed diapers changed. I always had cats and dogs around growing up, including two difficult dogs from shelters who had issues. I live with an energetic pit-lab mix, and my parents' three rescue cats are still my sweeties. In the past I volunteered at an animal shelter, helping to socialize cats and walk dogs. I hike every day if I can, so if your dog enjoys vigorous exercise on trails, I can provide that too! I'm an adjunct college professor and freelance writer, so my work is part-time or sporadic, with much of it being done at home. If I'm available, I'll have plenty of time to linger and give attention to your pets! I'll follow your lead on what situations you're comfortable with for your pet, in terms of where I bring your dog for a walk, how they interact with other animals and people, etc.

About: My aunts and friends have always had dogs, so growing up I had a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I’ve helped my aunt train her excited Chocolate Lab puppy, taken care of my friend’s barky, 11 pound Mini Pinscher while they were away, and helped feed, walk, and play with my own household’s anxious, raw diet mut, Sheila. I know how to love and take care of any type of dog—from loudly outgoing to shy! I just finished my sophomore year of college and am looking to help care for anyone’s pets this summer. My schedule is open, so I am flexible to visit your pet whenever you need! I will gladly take your dog on a nice long walk and play with them around your backyard to release any pent up energy! Inside, I’m also up for playing with toys and giving lots of pets!

About: I've had dogs since I was born, have worked in shelters and keep raising my own puppy dog. I give dogs multiple walks and play with them. If necessary I take them hiking, play fetch outdoor and give them lots of love an attention. I will make your dog feel like family and help with any training that you're working on. I would love to have many digs but at the moment we can only afford one as we travel through occasionally. I work from home Monday through Friday so I am there 24/7 to support and hang out with your pet. We usually do at least a morning walk, lunch quick outing and afternoon longer walk. Our home has an unfenced yard. I will walk your pet on a leash through our trails. I will follow your pet’s schedule and they will be allowed in the open house including couch and bed if that is part of their lifestyle.

About: I have grown up with the dogs of various breeds - Boxers, Jack Russell's, Irish Terrier, Shnauzers, Lasa's and Mini Labradoodle--my entire life and now into an empty nest stage. After raising 3 kids and many dogs(and chickens) in our own home, I know it's not easy to find time to do it all- let me take some of that stress away by helping out. Kids have mostly gone out of state and looking to spend some time with dogs. Hoping to spend some time walking playing with grown dogs or puppies as we currently do not have one of our own. Our dog passed after 14 wonderful years and I would love to be able to help out with day to day walks, ball throwing, or just a be there for some extra cuddle to fill that void- there is nothing like the love of a dog. I am currently working part-time and looking to fill my schedule with some furry friends. We lost our dog of 14 years and I would love to spend time with dogs more. I am available 8 to 4 most days Monday through Friday and look forward to some quality pet time. I could also do some weekends or longer, regular visits if scheduled ahead. I'm pretty flexible I have a large yard and wooded area behind our house, no neighbors close by, lots of room to run and play. If taking for walks, definitely would be on leash. Would also love to pick up and walk Philo with any dog who has the energy.

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.

About: (I am currently unavailable for new bookings Thursday through Sunday.) My name is Casey, I'm a student majoring in creative writing, and I'm looking to expand my house sitting portfolio. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.

About: I've taken care of animals my whole life, and have owned dogs and cats for the past 30 years. I can administer medications, and have experience with senior dogs and cats. I have flexibility in my hours and can do overnight or drop in visits. I am recently retired, I have a very flexible schedule and can work with you on the times that best work for you and your pets. Flexibility is key, and I can provide loving care for your pet in your home, whether it is spending the night or making visits during the day.

About: Relationship with animals has always been a passion of mine. I started grooming dogs with my grandmother at the age of 10, but was her assistant long before I earned the title. It brings me joy and fulfillment to care for pups and cats alike, while creating an environment where they (and you) can feel safe and earn my trust in the process. As a part time bartender at Pascolo Restaurant in Downtown Burlington, it would fit into my schedule to walk dogs in the morning, afternoon and early evening as well as weekends. There is a lot of freedom to work around your schedule :) In my home, I live off of Main Street in Vergennes and can provide safe walking around town as well as some of the trails near by. In your home, I am quick to adapt to whatever will make you most comfortable!

About: I have been working with animals for the last ten years. Started working in dog daycares and moved my way up to vet medicine where i now am a vet technician. I am patient and understanding to all pets personalities and ages. I am currently working 3 days a week on a specialty service at a veterinary hospital. Big, small, stubborn, loud, quiet, shy, young, old, hyper, chill - all animals deserve to be loved. Grew up in suburbs near trails with dogs on and off leash. Flexible schedule. I have a large car to bring 1 or multiple dogs out for adventures. With permission, I may spoil them. Worked as a vet tech assistant for 3 years. Rasied many dogs from puppies and am familiar with positive reinforcement training, crate training, and clicker training. Experienced with dogs that are people and/or dog shy and know how to handle the situation. I do not believe in such a thing as naturally aggressive dogs. Everyone has their own personality and experiences, so do animals. I'm currently working full time 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday in Burlington near Redrocks. I can do walks or check-in's before and after work for locations near my home or office. I'm available on the weekends for longer periods. I am happy to come to your home or office. I am available to care for your dog or cat in your home and can stay for extended periods within a 1-hour driving distance of Burlington. I love being active so am happy to take them hiking, running, or out for a gentle walk. I am unable to care for pets at my home.
