About: My aunts and friends have always had dogs, so growing up I had a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. I’ve helped my aunt train her excited Chocolate Lab puppy, taken care of my friend’s barky, 11 pound Mini Pinscher while they were away, and helped feed, walk, and play with my own household’s anxious, raw diet mut, Sheila. I know how to love and take care of any type of dog—from loudly outgoing to shy! I just finished my sophomore year of college and am looking to help care for anyone’s pets this summer. My schedule is open, so I am flexible to visit your pet whenever you need! I will gladly take your dog on a nice long walk and play with them around your backyard to release any pent up energy! Inside, I’m also up for playing with toys and giving lots of pets!

About: I've taken care of animals my whole life, and have owned dogs and cats for the past 30 years. I can administer medications, and have experience with senior dogs and cats. I have flexibility in my hours and can do overnight or drop in visits. I am recently retired, I have a very flexible schedule and can work with you on the times that best work for you and your pets. Flexibility is key, and I can provide loving care for your pet in your home, whether it is spending the night or making visits during the day.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life and have experience with a variety of breeds and personalities. I was raised with Labs, Golden Retrievers, Doodles, and mixed breeds, and I currently have a pit mix of my own. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by to check on your cat, or caring for your pet while you’re away, my goal is always the same: to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. While I work everyday during the day, I have time in the evenings and all day on the weekends to either take your little ones for walks or feed them or play with them. My dog is allowed on any couch or bed, she doesn’t have many restrictions other than jumping on tables, she sleeps on our bed or the guest bed depending on her mood lol. When it comes to sitting at your house, I will make sure your pup stays on their routine and follows any house rules that are in place!

About: I have grown up with the dogs of various breeds - Boxers, Jack Russell's, Irish Terrier, Shnauzers, Lasa's and Mini Labradoodle--my entire life and now into an empty nest stage. After raising 3 kids and many dogs(and chickens) in our own home, I know it's not easy to find time to do it all- let me take some of that stress away by helping out. Kids have mostly gone out of state and looking to spend some time with dogs. Hoping to spend some time walking, playing with grown dogs or puppies as we currently do not have one of our own. Our dog passed after 14 wonderful years and I would love to be able to help out with day to day walks, ball throwing, or just to be there for an extra cuddle to fill that void- there is nothing like the love of a dog. I am currently working part-time and looking to fill my schedule with some furry friends. We lost our dog of 14 years and I would love to spend time with dogs more. I am available 8 to 4 most days Monday through Friday and look forward to some quality pet time. I could also do some weekends or longer, regular visits if scheduled ahead. I'm pretty flexible I have a large yard and wooded area behind our house, no neighbors close by, lots of room to run and play. If taking for walks, definitely would be on leash. I love to walk Mt Philo if yiur dog would love the company of a furry friend, could pick up and walk with any dog who has the energy.

About: I've been around dogs since I was a child, and I see them as part of the family. I got my first dog when I was eleven, but our house grew and grew with multiple dogs, and I currently help care for my family's six dogs. In a client's home, I treat the space with respect and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I'm very mindful of my surroundings during walks. I also take the time to get to know each pet's personality so I know how to respond appropriately to their needs and comfort levels. Communication is key, so I always provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where all pets feel comfortable and cared for, and each owner feels confident they've left their pets in good hands.

About: (I am currently unavailable for new bookings Thursday through Sunday.) My name is Casey, I'm a student majoring in creative writing, and I'm looking to expand my house sitting portfolio. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.

About: In the last decade+ I've taken care of half a dozen dogs and nearly a dozen cats for friends and through word-of-mouth, including a very senior chihuahua who was blind and deaf and needed diapers changed. I always had cats and dogs around growing up, including two difficult dogs from shelters who had issues. I live with an energetic pit-lab mix, and my parents' three rescue cats are still my sweeties. In the past I volunteered at an animal shelter, helping to socialize cats and walk dogs. I hike every day if I can, so if your dog enjoys vigorous exercise on trails, I can provide that too! I'm an adjunct college professor and freelance writer, so my work is part-time or sporadic, with much of it being done at home. If I'm available, I'll have plenty of time to linger and give attention to your pets! I'll follow your lead on what situations you're comfortable with for your pet, in terms of where I bring your dog for a walk, how they interact with other animals and people, etc.

About: Growing up, we always had two dogs and a cat. I quickly became the designated dog walker of the family which then lead me into dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In college I used to walk dogs through WAG and had a blast. I'm used to dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I love animals and watching after them as a side gig is so fun! I work part time, so on the days that I have off, I can easily work in a few pets that need care and TLC! I follow the instructions I am given by the pets owner and I respect their home as if it was mine. If a pet is in my home, I make sure nothing chewable or food is left out to prevent any issues.

About: Hi my name is Lily and I am an avid animal lover! I am an experienced professional dog walker and pet sitter. I have worked professionally for a local dog walking and pet sitting company in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia and this was easily my favorite job ever! I love the canine companionship and have been a dog owner and care giver since I was very young. I have grown up around dogs (very big and very small) and always loved helping my family raise our dogs throughout childhood and into raising my own cat and dogs for the past 20+ years. I have a small chihuahua named Lola who I rescued from the Richmond VA SPCA 11 years ago. She's very sweet and loves play dates with other dogs but never minds hanging back at home with the rest of her pack. She enjoys shorter walks in her senior years and can often be found soaking up the sun and recharging in the backyard in the warmer months. For six years Lola had a close chi companion named Paco who I rescued from Tennessee in 2020 who is unfortunately no longer with us. He sadly lost his battle with congestive heart failure in January 2026 and Lola and I miss him so much everyday. In Paco's early rescue months it took a lot of time and compassion for him to open up into the sweet boy he was. He lived a very happy and fulfilled life until the end. Helping him blossom into the best, most perfect chi, was easily one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Lola and I have settled in South Burlington, Vermont and despite the cold winter months, we love our new home! In addition to being a professional dog walker and pet sitter with Barksley back in Virginia, I have also provided pet care for my friends and families fur babies for many years now. I am naturally an active person and love going on long walks in the neighborhood or just hanging out in the yard playing fetch. Do you love the dog park? I do too! I have great doggie transportation with ample room in the back of my Subaru Forester for your pup to relax in if the adventure takes us on the road. Your pet will be sure to be in the best hands with me on any adventure we go on and I look forward to playing fetch with them in the future! As a long time dog owner Iv always kept a daily routine based around caring for my pets. That usually means early mornings letting the pups out and feeding them before getting the day started. We always go on our daily dog walk and on the weekends my pups love an adventure outdoors. I have a Petcube camera and baby gates that keep my pups safe while I’m away. We allow our pets on the furniture and love snuggling up to them. They also have many beds available for snuggling if they want as well. We keep fresh water available in multiple spots throughout the house. When I’m dog sitting or boarding I make sure to ask the owner what their pet prefers in terms of a bed or crate. I also make sure to get any information on feeding and potty breaks, or any other funny quirks I would need to know about your fur baby! While boarding dogs, I make sure to check in on the pet cube camera if i ever need to spend any amount of time away.
