“I’m so lucky to have found Ella! She is kind and has a gentle way that put me and my kitty at ease. She worked her magic on my scaredy cat and was able to get her to snuggle and ask for chin scritches. I’m impressed! Ella kept me updated and sent pictures too.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs since I was in elementary school and picking up poo since I could walk. I had a stint of being crazy about guinea pigs but family allergies didn’t allow me to ever own my own or bring them home. I grew up wanting a cat but family allergies once again prevented. Neighbors and friends had a large variety of pets so I’ve watched ball python’s, Guinea pigs, cats, fish, turtles, dogs, and birds. I have three dogs and a cat of my own, so while I can not board dogs, I take online classes, so my schedule is pretty flexible. My dogs are crate trained but one is 12 and she is still scared of being locked in a kennel for long periods of time so she is allowed to roam when no one is home. She also thinks the cat is her baby so as long as she can’t get into his litter box they are golden.

“This is my second time using Nicole, and I can’t say enough good things about her taking care of my dog. She is so reliable, and I can tell my dog had the best time. I highly recommend her for pet care!”

“Thank you for taking such great care of our cats while we were away!! Emma is very communicative and responsible and we would definitely book with her again.”

About: While I've mostly sat for friends and family in the past, I'm hoping to meet more dogs (and their owners) through Rover! My claim to fame is that I once pet 2 bernese mountain dogs for an hour straight and my fitbit counted it as an elliptical workout. For more athletic and energetic dogs, I consider myself pretty fit and am happy to take them for extended walks, hikes, or runs. I'm currently unemployed, so I have all the time in the world to look after your pet(s). I will start working again mid-August, but will continue have afternoons free for pet care. I wish to respect whatever routine and care is already established for your pet(s). I am very good at following directions, but if you're pet isn't used to a very regimented life, I'm happy to go with the flow and follow their lead. I'm sure most dogs know where the treats are kept anyway ;) I am happy to be as involved or removed from the home as makes you comfortable. Whether it's quality time on the couch or getting outside, I can accommodate whatever needs and wishes you may have for your home and pet.

“Mildred was wonderful. Great communication. I am so thankful for the pictures they provided. Really helped me emotionally while I was away missing my furry sweet. Loved that Mildred played with Zoey every time and gave her lots of tlc.”

“Bailey was kind enough to come on Christmas as a pretty last minute request! Did a drop-in and everything went smoothly! Looking forward to having Bailey help out again.”

About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets were a part of my family growing up, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Recently prior to joining Rover I have also been taking two of my mother’s dogs for walks fairly regularly when visiting and taking care of them when it was just myself at the house. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since childhood, specifically 3 dogs that were very much a part of the family. I’ve house and pet sat for multiple family members and friends including overnights with dogs and drop ins for cats. My friends all have pets (cats and dogs) and I’m no stranger to how different pets can be in different environments. I’ve been with dogs that are leash only and outdoor. I’m a homebody, so outside of work hours, I often will be hanging around in the evening. I’m available overnight stays Saturday - Monday. Walks and drop-ins anytime Mondays and Tuesdays 2-6:30 pm. Wednesday - Fridays I’m available for walks and drop-ins 6-7:30pm. In a client’s home, I make sure to pay close attention to a pet’s routine, how things are done and what makes them most comfortable. Really making sure things are smoothly done and calm.

“Kat is awesome. I was super nervous about using Rover for the first time, especially last minute. However, Kat came through and saved the day. She is polite, punctual, and so sweet; I rebooked immediately! Plus, my cats never eat this well when I’m gone. 10/10 would recommend Kat to a friend. :)”

“Emma was amazing, she wrote a great report on how the day went and met my dogs needs. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Whitney was a fantastic cat sitter for our 2 cats while we were away. She was a great communicator and it was fun to see pictures of our cats while we were gone. We defintely hope that Whitney is available again the next time we go out of town. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life growing up. All different breeds and attitudes. I’ve worked with trainers and done lots of dog sitting in my life. I love all dogs and most animals. Please let me walk, sit, or hangout with your dog I will treat them like my own. My schedule is very flexible. I work from home and my part time job allows me to make my own schedule/hours. Watching your adorable pup would be my main priority! I would love to care for your pup if that is sitting, a playdate or walk. I am sadly long distance from my pitbull pup while I am at school studying at UVM and wish I was allowed to have pets in my home but my landlords don’t allow it, thus I am committed to giving yours all the attention and care it needs!

About: Hello! My name is Wren and I'm a college student with a summer internship in DC. I have been fostering dogs and puppies since I was 5 years old. I also have multiple years of pet-sitting experience (both dogs and cats), and I had two dogs and a cat growing up that I was partially responsible for until I graduated from high school. I am an active individual and I love to go on walks and runs. Currently I am available during the day on Fridays and at night the rest of the week. I will have more availability in May because I will not have started my next internship so I will be free every day. In June I am available before and after my 9-5 job and a longer-term pet-sitting option would be my preference. I do not currently have a place to offer for boarding, but I can assure you that I will comply with all house and Rover rules, as well as respect your pet/space and keep it clean.

“Drew has lived with a dog for her entire life. When she was born she was welcomed by Hazel the Ridgeback. At age 4, Drew helped to train her new puppy Shona the Ridgeback and walked him while her parents were supervising. Drew became more independent in caring for Shona as she grew older, sharing in feeding and walking responsibilities. Drew's third dog, Ruth was welcomed into the family when Drew was 16 years old. Drew was actively involved in Ruth's training, feeding, grooming and walking routines. In addition, Drew cared for Ruth when her parents were away on vacations in her later teen years. Drew's mom is also a Rover sitter, and Drew has enjoyed helping with the dogs that her mom cared for.”
