“My pets love when Karen comes to stay! They get so much care and attention that I'm not sure they have time to miss us. I always come home to a clean house and happy pets. I highly recommend her!”

“Kimmie is always my go to person. This time she had some issues with one of our pets getting sick. The directions we left her were confusing so she called us. I always appreciate receiving a call from Kimmie, especially to let me know one of our pets was sick. We cleared up the medication instructions and when I got home my pet was well on the way back to health. Thank you Kimmie for being so responsive and calling me.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t live without them. My specialty is caring for senior (7+yrs old) dogs but I love all ages. I’m currently retired and very flexible with scheduling. I have volunteered regularly at a senior dog sanctuary for 5 years to onboard and train new volunteers in the care and comfort of its 4-legged residents. I have a fenced yard and only one small dog friendly Yorkie in residence. I used to work for a Christian ministry so very trustworthy.

About: I have 10+ years of pet care through my own animals and close family and friends. I have cared for cats, dogs, mice, lizards, hermit crabs, fish the list goes on! Let me help take some stress off your hands by caring for your pet I work full time but I am happy to do early mornings, nights and days off. Let’s chat and I can work you into the schedule as best I can! I currently have three cats at home, I am open to working with multiple animals at once. I’m very patient as well so I will have your animals best interest in mind.
“Caitlin was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we left, she kept us completely at ease with constant communication, frequent updates, and lots of photos of Levi. We never had to wonder how he was doing—she made sure we felt connected to him throughout our entire trip. She cared for Levi as if he were her own, and when he hurt his paw, she handled it calmly and attentively, kept a close eye on him, and made sure he received the extra care he needed. She even received our motorcycle delivery while we were away, which was completely outside the scope of her responsibilities and truly above and beyond! We returned home to a happy, well-cared-for Levi and an absolutely spotless house. Caitlin is incredibly reliable, thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely caring. Knowing she was there let Dustin and me relax and enjoy our time away. We could not have asked for anyone better, and we will absolutely ask her to care for Levi again!”

“Debbie was absolutely AMAZING with my pup, Adam! He is an extremely picky eater, and I have spent months trying different things just to get him to consistently eat. Debbie took the time, patience, and care to figure him out — and somehow she solved the problem! I honestly could not believe it. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Not only did she take incredible care of Adam, but she also went above and beyond in ways she absolutely did not have to. I came home to a clean house, and she even washed my sheets and put them back on the bed. That level of thoughtfulness and care is rare. You can truly tell Debbie treats both pets and homes with respect, kindness, and genuine love. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, attentive, and compassionate. Thank you again, Debbie!”

“The best dog sitter!! Darla has truly saved us this last month with all the travel we have had to do. She is so responsive and I know our dog was in great hands! Our flight was majorly delayed and she stayed extra time to make sure he was cared for. Our house is always clean, she sends us tons of pictures and videos, and we cannot recommend her enough!”

“Kailiany was awesome. Regular updates, our 3 fur kids were happy and healthy when we returned, and she even put the trash out by the road for us. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you Kylie and Rover!”

“Katelyn and her daughter provided great care to our 7 month old Cocker Spaniel. She sent updates and pics throughout the night. Our pup seemed very happy and safe with her. We will definitely use her again!”

“Sweet sweet lady, genuine animal lover. So Very patient with my THREE hooligan dogs; took great care of them and my home! Sent pictures, updates, loved on them, cleaned up after them, understood when they were anxious. Great sitter, hope to have her back next time!”

“Kellie did an amazing job with our aging pup Jordyn and our goldfish Lared! She was excellent at communication and did an amazing job! We couldn’t be more happy with our choice, and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking!”

“Linda did a wonderful job of caring for our pups, loving them and ensuring they were comfortable. She sent cute pictures of each of them enjoying their outdoor time and ensured to clean up the small yard of their doggy poo which was not expected. Plan to use her again in the future as she lives close by! Thanks for your help Linda!”

“Nathan was absolutely wonderful as our house and dog sitter while we were away for Spring Break! From the start, he was communicative, reliable, and made us feel completely at ease leaving both our home and our dog in his care. He stayed in our home and treated it with great respect, everything was clean and just as we left it when we returned. Most importantly, our dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly got plenty of attention and exercise while we were gone. Nathan kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind during our trip. We truly appreciated how attentive and responsible he was, and it made a big difference knowing everything at home was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Nathan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and we would love to have him back again in the future!”

About: Hi there! My name is Isabella (but you can also call me Izzy) and I am a 24 year old from Fort Worth, Texas now living in the Georgetown area! I started doing pet sitting and drop in care accidentally a few years ago for some coworkers and it just blossomed into a part time job I love doing! I enjoy getting to meet new pets big and small and of course I'm happy to make the lives of pet owners a little less stressful. I have a three year old kitty myself and understand what it's like to worry about being away from them whether its just during the workday or during travel. I currently work as a veterinary technician as well so I consider myself generally well equipped to care for pets who may need a little extra time and love! Message me anytime between 7am and 10 pm and I'll respond as quickly as possible. I look forward to working with you! I work 4 days generally from 8-6 latest (4 on Saturdays) but also get an hour break halfway through the day. I strive to check in and walk pets I am house sitting with at least 3 times a day (more if possible) so they can have enough exercise and stimulation! I ensure that when I am in a clients home that all pets are safe and content both when I arrive and when I leave! I am also happy to send updates and pictures as needed so pet parents can see how their babies are doing while they are being watched!
“Ryan was so kind to help me watch my pets again on very very short notice. Just like last time, I came back to happy animals and a house that was tidier than I left it! Thank you Ryan!”
“Nadia was absolutely incredible! From the moment we left, she kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took amazing care of our golden retriever, Syla, treating her like she was her own and making sure she was happy, comfortable, and loved the entire weekend. When we got home, our house was spotless, and Syla was relaxed, happy, and snuggled up on the couch. It’s clear that Nadia genuinely cares about both the pets she watches and the homes she stays in. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would trust her again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend Nadia to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and thoughtful pet sitter!”

Brianne did an amazing job taking care of our home and pets. We have a dog and 3 cats which one of them is elderly and high maintenance. We also had an unplanned house issue that she handled quickly and professionally. She communicated, sent pics and asked appropriate questions. We came home to everything in order. It’s hard leaving your pets/home in the hands of someone you don’t know, I will definitely use Brianne again!

Magen did a great job with my two Teacup Yorkies. She went above and beyond and was very attentive to their needs. I would definitely ask her to look after them in the future. They were ecstatic to see her each day. Thanks for making me feel at ease knowing my pups were in good hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 2,636 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across New Corn Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred New Corn Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in New Corn Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New Corn Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Corn Hill. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
