“Got it! Here’s a more natural version with your note about being repeat customers: ⸻ We’ve used Kimmie previously, and there’s a reason we keep coming back—she’s amazing. She takes such good care of our dogs, always making sure they get their medicine, playing with them, and giving them tons of love and attention. It’s clear she really cares about them, and they’re always happy and relaxed when we get home. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

“Kellie did an amazing job with our aging pup Jordyn and our goldfish Lared! She was excellent at communication and did an amazing job! We couldn’t be more happy with our choice, and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking!”

“Brian’s was very accommodating of our last-minute request. She came by to meet our dogs prior to her stay. She followed our care instructions and had lots of questions to ensure she was providing the right care for our dogs. We appreciate her caring for our dogs while we were away!”

“Highly recommend Bella! My husband and I frequently go on longer trips and I've never seen my cat so content after we've been gone! He obviously felt safe, loved, taken care of, and so much more. Will definitely be booking again.”

“Megan was absolutely awesome! My sister and I have labs, which are obviously high maintenance dogs, so we were hesitant in using rover, but MAN are we glad we met Megan! She tended to their every need & loved on them extra for us. She sent daily photos and updates and even did some cleaning up around our house (amazing right?!). I felt so safe and secure with leaving the dogs with her and will absolutely being going back to her when we both have to leave town again. Thanks for being the best, Megan!”

About: I have owned 3 dogs over the past 20 years. I have watched, walked, and cared for the dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and reptiles. I have trained my own pets and I’m very comfortable meeting new animals. I’m a part-time remotely working licensed realtor so I’ve been fingerprinted and FBI background checked for your safety and peace of mind. I’m currently working part-time from home, mostly on my computer so I have plenty of time to play, walk, and care for your pets. I will carefully adhere to your pets’ schedule, routine, and instructions to make sure your pet has a safe and happy experience in my care.

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up around dogs and have owned four dogs throughout my life, giving me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. While I wasn’t around many cats growing up because of my dad’s allergies, I quickly fell in love with them and now share my home with two cats of my own. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet sat and walked dogs for friends and family simply because I enjoy spending time with animals. Now, I’m excited to turn that passion into a side gig through Rover. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful for pets, so I always focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I do work a full-time job, about 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. However, my hours are pretty flexible through the week so I can work around a schedule. I always make sure the pets feel comfortable with me and listen to their needs! If they are feeling anxious or scared I make sure to be patient and give them the time they need. If they are super cuddly I make sure to give them all the love I can give and play with them! I can take them on walks or play with them around the house!
“Nothing but good things to say! Andrea was super responsive, provided the best updates, and it was clear our pup loved her! Will definitely be reaching out in the future- highly recommend her!”

“Danae did a wonderful job with our pets. She kept us well informed and sent lots of pictures of them playing outside. The house was clean when we returned and our puppies were very happy. I would definitely rebook with Danae.”

About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog. That’s where Rover comes in. I love animals, and am extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of someone’s pet. This will give me my ‘fix’ and also be a productive side hustle for me. It will be an honor to walk//watch your pet. I will give the very care and concern I gave my own pets. Not only have I had my own pets, but I have experience with a variety of breeds—including catahoulas and boxers. As mentioned above, I have extensive experience working with senior dogs and administering medication. I’m currently in a transition phase in my life, and am looking for something productive and rewarding. I have pretty much limitless availability to cater to whatever your dog may need. At the moment, I can’t accept any dogs into my home, but if given the opportunity to stay at a client’s house, I would follow all instructions given while simultaneously respecting the space and showering your dog with love and attention.
About: I’ve been fostering animals and volunteering at shelters since I was a kid, so I’m really comfortable around animals and enjoy being with them. I have fostered pregnant cats, kittens who required medical care, and dog sat for friends and family, too. People always describe me as gentle and caring with animals! I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available most afternoons after 4 PM and on weekends, so I’m a great option for evening walks, drop-ins, or weekend care. I primarily care for pets in my clients’ homes, where they feel most comfortable and can stay in their normal routine. For dogs, I provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention based on their energy level and needs. For cats, I handle feeding, litter box cleaning, and give them as much interaction (or space) as they prefer. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep things consistent for your pet. I make sure they get plenty of care, attention, and a calm, safe environment while you’re away.
About: I’ve pet sat for family and friends for many years. From small dogs to Pit bulls and Huskies . Puppies who are still learning how to walk on leashes to senior dogs who are just wanting to cuddle..all dogs deserve kindness and love even if they aren’t my own. I work full time Monday- Thursday, and have my 2 year old doggo with me when I’m working. I wanted to help those who needs someone to walk their dog on Fridays while they’re at work or away for the weekend for business or a quick trip. At home my dog is like my baby. I did a lot of dog training with her when we first got her, so I do know the basics. With others dogs, I want to be able to gain their trust and for them to realize that even though their humans aren’t home they can be trusted with a kind hearted and safe person. Also who doesn’t love to get pets, cuddles and treats ?!
“Nathan was absolutely wonderful as our house and dog sitter while we were away for Spring Break! From the start, he was communicative, reliable, and made us feel completely at ease leaving both our home and our dog in his care. He stayed in our home and treated it with great respect, everything was clean and just as we left it when we returned. Most importantly, our dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly got plenty of attention and exercise while we were gone. Nathan kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind during our trip. We truly appreciated how attentive and responsible he was, and it made a big difference knowing everything at home was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Nathan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and we would love to have him back again in the future!”

“Karla took great care of our dogs and our place. We greatly appreciate her help as we urgently needed care for our furry family members when we had to respond to an emergency out of state. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience with medications and other special needs your pet may have. I love loving on dogs and love to enrich their time with bubbles or other activities like sniff and seek. The dogs will hang out with me, go on walks twice daily walks, play bubbles or play fetch, or swim if your dog is interested! We also love naps in our house and overall have a great time. I have a dog park and walking trail at my apartment. I have a dog wash and would be happy to bathe your dog before their return. I have a 4 year old golden retriever who is well-socialized and loves to make new friends. I also make homemade dog treats :)
About: I grew up in an animal shelter. Sounds crazy right? Well, it's true. My mom has always worked around animals(and still does) so I was always right by her side. Whether it be at animal shelters, helping with adoptions, walking, feeding, giving medications. Anything to be involved ! Then she became a Veterinarian. So of course, when I got old enough, I worked at her clinic. I've truely worked with animals my whole life and have always had animals of my own. I am currently working as an Animal Rescue Coordinator each day but would love to further my pet care business . My fur babies are my children and I treat them as so. You will always be able to find comfort knowing that I will treat your fur babies with the same love and care as my own! My favorite thing to do is spend time with my 3 dogs. A few things we love doing are going to the dog park, playing fetch, frisbee, going to the lake to swim, agility, hiking, and of course getting frozen yogurt! I would be more than happy to spend time with your pup doing these things. I'm sure they deserve it! I can't wait to spoil your pup and put your mind at ease knowing he/she is loved, safe, and happy while you're away. Your fur babies deserve the best! I currently work full time in VetMed but I have Fri-Sun off. This is when I’ll offer pet services. I’m hoping to offer full time care eventually. I care for pets in my home as if they were my own. They are allowed on furniture/beds if the owner is okay with this. I have doggy gates for separation of other animals if needed. Pets are never left unattended in my home. If I must leave for any reason, your pet must be kenneled in my home.
“Kailiany was great! She asked me about thing when she had questions, which I love, she sent pictures of our dog, she had good communication through out her whole 7 day stay at our house. She's really good, book her! She gave me peace of mind.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Granger
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,851 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Granger. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Granger walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Granger maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Granger choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Granger. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
