About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t live without them. My specialty is caring for senior (7+yrs old) dogs but I love all ages. I’m currently retired and very flexible with scheduling. I have volunteered regularly at a senior dog sanctuary for 5 years to onboard and train new volunteers in the care and comfort of its 4-legged residents. I have a fenced yard and only one small dog friendly Yorkie in residence. I used to work for a Christian ministry so very trustworthy.
“Jaydin was absolutely amazing, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. From the very beginning, she was kind, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease. Most importantly, my dogs loved her, and that says a lot because they are not always the easiest with new people. She was incredibly attentive, kept me updated, and followed all of our instructions and house routines perfectly, which meant so much to me. Knowing my babies were comfortable, safe, and well cared for while I was away gave me real peace of mind. I would trust her again in a heartbeat to stay in my home and care for my dogs. There honestly aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am. Thank you for everything, Jaydin!”

“Kailiany was awesome. Regular updates, our 3 fur kids were happy and healthy when we returned, and she even put the trash out by the road for us. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely book again in the future. Thank you Kylie and Rover!”

“This is our first time using Rover as our pet sitter provider and they didn't disappoint my expectations. The process of choosing and meeting your dog caretaker was easy, transparent and reliable. We chose Ms. Kimmie and let me tell you, my dog fell in love with her from the beginning. Cane Corsos are really good on reading people and their intentions, they never let their guard down. Our baby was so into Ms. Kimmie, and that right there was a good sign for us. At that moment, we knew that she was the one. We understood that our baby was gonna be in good hands and our house as well. Ms. Kimmie kept us updated with kahlua activities and even send us pictures of our baby having fun with her. We just claimed Ms. Kimmie as Kahlua Godmother and our personal dog caretaker from now on. If you are looking for a reliable, easy going, fun and attentive dog caretaker I can assure you that Ms. Kimmie is the best choice.”

“Megan was a fantastic sitter for our 2 dogs! From the very first time she came over to meet us her communication was excellent, and we really enjoyed the regular pictures and videos we got from her we were away. But most importantly, we felt great about leaving our pets and our home in her hands. Now all I’m worried about is that our dogs are sad that she left! ❤️”

“Caitlin was amazing! She took great care of our dogs and house! She was the right level of communicative and sent us great pictures of the dogs. She also went above and beyond with grooming help for one dog that had a stomach issue. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Sierra was an absolute angel! I’m a bit of a helicopter mom when leaving out of town due to our dog having epilepsy but she was nothing short of amazing! She sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the day. Will be booking for future trips!”

“Trevor has been an incredible sitter for our dog, Odin. He communicates clearly and consistently, keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind while we’re away. It’s obvious how much he genuinely cares for Odin, and that love and attention really show. We even had a small pet emergency while we were gone, and Trevor handled it quickly, calmly, and with so much care. We were incredibly grateful knowing Odin was in such capable hands. We feel so lucky to have found Trevor and couldn’t recommend him more highly. Knowing Odin is with someone who truly loves him makes all the difference.”

“If I could give Kayla a 9 million star review, I would! She went above and beyond in ALL OF THE WAYS while staying at our home with our Great Dane Banksy! She was in constant and detailed communication with us and she sent picture and video updates which allowed us to watch in real time our very shy, sensitive, unsure girl fall in love with Kayla and her daughter! It was so special! 🥰 We actually had to extend our trip due to last minute cancelled flights and our biggest concern, who would take care of Banksy until we got home, was immediately taken care of because of Kayla’s flexibility and understanding and incredible care. When we got home, our house was in even better order than when we left it. She’s amazing. I cannot recommend her enough. Click the button and book her today!! I promise you it’ll be one of the best decisions you make for your fur babies!”

“If I could give more stars I would! Raven is an absolute dream to have watch your furr- babies! She is very attentive and communicative. She sent me lots of updates and I received lots of photos and videos. She also was very respectful of my home. It was a GREAT experience and I am so thrilled she worked out! Not to mention that my dogs loved her!! Thank you, Raven! We will def be seeing you again!”

“Annabelle was just fantastic! She took exceptional care of my dog and three kitties. She is absolutely great. Extremely reliable, she kept me updated regularly and sent pics while I was away. She also took better care of my home than I ever could too. Thanks so much for everything Annabelle! You rock! To anyone looking for a great sitter, look no further. She’s the best of the best. Book with to confidence. You won’t go wrong with Annabelle!”

“We love Kate! She stayed at our place for a few days while we went to Vegas. She was so great with both our dogs. We will definitely have her back for future pet sitting!”

“Kacey was so great! She responded quickly to all of my text messages and requests for updates. She was super calm and patient with my dogs. I really appreciated her confidence in carrying for them while we were away.”

“Our dog does not like people other than my wife really. But she took to Christine on day one and was climbing into her lap that night. It is such a relief to know someone who gets along with our dog is taking care of them. Would definitely hire again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Jarrell
Brianne did an amazing job taking care of our home and pets. We have a dog and 3 cats which one of them is elderly and high maintenance. We also had an unplanned house issue that she handled quickly and professionally. She communicated, sent pics and asked appropriate questions. We came home to everything in order. It’s hard leaving your pets/home in the hands of someone you don’t know, I will definitely use Brianne again!

Magen did a great job with my two Teacup Yorkies. She went above and beyond and was very attentive to their needs. I would definitely ask her to look after them in the future. They were ecstatic to see her each day. Thanks for making me feel at ease knowing my pups were in good hands.

Mayra was great!! After worrying from past sitters I was so anxious if this would work out but it did and she is amazing. My pups aren’t hard to deal with but one of them was being a little bit more difficult and Mayra handled it with no complaints! I was able to actually enjoy my vacation with daily updates and pictures. Need be and her willingness we will book with Mayra again in the future! She is nothing short of amazing! Thank you again Mayra!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Jarrell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Jarrell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Jarrell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
