“Mina did a fantastic job with Beau. His 4 night stay went very well and he had plenty of dog-friends to keep him company. Beau enjoyed the fenced back yard and walks. Mina does a great job of keeping us updated and sending pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Juju enjoyed spending holidays with Tiffany and her family. All her dogs were not only friendly, but also well-trained. They were a great company for Juju. Tiffany sent me a couple of pictures everyday and kept me informed of how Juju was doing. Every member of her family seemed to know how to handle dogs. I did not have to worry about anything during my holidays. I’m sure Juju wants to go back to her place again. She is a great dog sitter.”

“Rachel is amazing with our highly energetic Sheltie pup! He always loves going there and hanging out with their dog and cats. They give him endless amounts of walks and fetch and outdoor play, even in the cold. 10/10!!!!”

“Ginsberg had a great time while we were gone. Teresa made her a part of the family letting her warm up at her own pace. She loved hanging out in the huge backyard with friends and lounging on the couch watching household activities and sleeping. Highly recommend Teresa. She’s sent lots of pictures and updates so I could see Ginsberg was happy and relaxed.”

“Ashley did a wonderful job taking care of our dog while we were out of town. She is a very kind and responsible person and I felt that I can trust her right when I met her. She updated us with pictures and messages every day, which was great. Absolutely will go back to her in the future!”

“Laura and Manuel were friendly, easy to communicate with, and took great care of our dog. They sent some photo updates too. We would love to work with them again!”

“Andrew took great care of my two dogs during a long weekend trip I took. I’m immensely grateful. I got update photos and prompt communication about my pups the whole time. Thanks Andrew!”

“Sydney was amazing!!! Poor Charlie got sick with 2 parasites right before his visit. He was feeling much better after a few days on medication so Sydney still was willing to take him in. She continued the rest of his treatment which consisted of multiple medications at carousing times throughout the day. She continued to provide us updates through out his stay and reassured us that he was definitely on the up and up the whole time. Her location is ideal for airport travel as she is only about 10 minutes from DTW. We will absolutely use Sydney in the future!! Thank you again!”

“Snickers hadn’t stayed at a “stranger’s” house in years but she adapted well at Paula’s. Snickers thinks that she is too old to play but apparently she LOVED Paula’s big back yard. Snickers was in good spirits when I picked her up and I would definitely use her again.”

“David was awesome. Great communication, responsive. We felt really good about the way he took care of our little dog. He’s certainly going to be our first choice next time.”

“Wonderful overnight stay with Shashank and his pup. He is so great at dog training and anticipating our dog’s emotions and needs. We were fully happy and anxiety-free leaving our dog in Shashank’s trusted hands. One of the BEST rover homes (and we have tried a dozen!)”

“Tara did an amazing job watching our dog, Winston! From the moment she picked him up, we knew he was in good hands. Winston clearly felt loved and comfortable during his stay, and it was heartwarming to see how well he got along with her pup, Bosco. Tara kept us in the loop with adorable updates throughout the day, which really put our minds at ease. When she returned him, Winston was happy and well-cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Tara for dog sitting.”

“Our experience with JoAnn was exceptional. We just added Moxie to our family and were very nervous about leaving him while we went on vacation. This was our first opportunity utilizing Rover. JoAnn was patient with us as we learned how to navigate the app. From our very first encounter, Moxie's meet-n-greet, JoAnn asked us all the necessary questions to assure she followed Moxie's home routine closely. Prior to taking on any other pets during Moxie's stay, JoAnn scheduled time for the pets to meet which validates her focus was on the health and well-being of both pets. One of our favorite parts of every day was the photos and messages JoAnn sent. He looked like he had an amazing time. Our family would 100% recommend JoAnn to care for your pet. We will definitely reach out again when traveling.”

“Irma and Daniel went above and beyond in caring for Blue, and I am so grateful for everything they did. When a snowstorm delayed my return home, they were unbelievably kind, reassuring, and flexible, taking away so much of my stress during an already difficult situation. Knowing that Blue was safe, happy, and being treated like part of their family meant the world to me. She was clearly well cared for, entertained, and loved. I truly cannot recommend them highly enough and would trust them with Blue again in a heartbeat.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased about the care my dog received staying at Oscar’s home. It gave me great peace of mind getting the photos and videos every day I was away, and I brought home such a calm & happy girl who had the time of her life playing with other dogs in the big backyard. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook!”

“Ariana and Yogi are perfect for boarding my Pfeifer. The three of them always look like they are having such a good time. Yogi and Pfeifer must run and jump all day as Pfeifer slept the entire 2+ hour ride home. Photos are shared throughout the stay. Excellent companionship and human attention in a glorious fenced in yard. First choice for Ann Arbor boarding needs.”

“We had such a great first Rover experience with Shannon! She sent updates and pictures of our dog several times a day, and she was professional from start to finish. We’ll definitely call on her again when we need dog-sitting!”

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
