“Could not have asked for a better sitter for my pup! I’m still new to the area and when my dog sitter fell through, I was able to book here within minutes just a couple days before leaving on a 5-day trip. I received pictures and updates everyday. I definitely will come back and recommend any chance I get! So worth it!!!”

About: I’ve had a fur companion all of my life! I’ve successfully raised and trained five dogs from puppies and I have experience with rescue pups who may not feel entirely comfortable in their new environment. I’ve experienced small and large breeds alike, with my current pup being a King Cavalier Spaniel. Goose’s cousins who we see weekly are two Golden retrievers and one rescue mix. I’m able to be flexible or rigid when it comes to your pets schedule, and am knowledgeable in special diets, fresh pet food, administering meds if needed. I have the luxury of working from home and creating my own schedule which makes my days very flexible! I currently can accept pets for boarding, play dates or walks Sunday through Thursday, 9:30am to 10pm. My dog is allowed to be on all furniture and sleep in the bed and your pet would be permitted to as well if that is your preference! Goose and I take several walks a day and love to take day trips to various area dog parks and hiking trails or enjoy a lazy afternoon on the couch.

About: As a work-from-home professional, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m home the majority of the day, which means your pet gets regular bathroom breaks, playtime, and plenty of pats and attention instead of long stretches alone. If I’m staying in your home, all I need is electricity, coffee, and reliable internet so I can keep working while keeping your pet’s routine consistent. In my home, dogs are welcome on the sofa and the bed—this is a snuggle-friendly house where everyone gets love and lots of cuddles. About: Hello there! My name is Rachel and I've been a pet owner and sitter for many years. I currently have cats AND dogs and they are all amazing! My dogs are named Norbert and Newt, and they are both some big ole lovers. Growing up without pets in the house, I was always trying to bring friends' pets home! I also dog-sat for one particular family in high school and I loved it. Pet-sitting for me is all the joys of owning a dog only on a part-time basis. I would love to help you and your furry family out in your time of need! Be it for vacation, a new baby, work, or anything else, I can fill in. My longest running regular client used me nearly every weekend in good weather so she could skydive! This lasted almost two years until I moved out of the area. She had 5 hounds and a puppy hound! (I actually delivered the puppies. 😳) I have somewhat flexible availability to take dogs on walks, visit your home, or check in on your pet. I am also available some nights and weekends to dog sit in your home or bring your pet to my home. I have my basement set up for my dogs to have the run of it - it is the coolest part of the house and completely dog friendly! My dogs hang there while I'm at work, then we go for walks as soon as I get home. I would love to meet you and your pet in person to determine if we'd be a good fit! I currently work for the Beaver County Humane Society and I am loving it! My schedule is somewhat flexible, but I always have time for new clients and meet and greets. My pets get the best I can for them, and I feel like I work mostly so I can pay for their food and supplements, lol. I try to walk and play with them as much as they can, and my cats have their own bedroom with a baby gate so they can get away from the dogs if they want to.

About: I’m a lover of all animals, but dogs have always had my heart. There is nothing quite like the joy that comes with being surrounded by dogs. Their instantaneous affection, contagious happiness, and unique personalities make me so excited to interact with any dog that I cross paths with. I love my job as a special education teacher, but I have always wanted to work with dogs in some capacity, too. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life & understand that beyond their basic needs being met, what they really need is a whole lot of love, and humans who are willing to take on their abundance of love, as well. I hope to make lots of new furry friends on here and give them so much love!! I have a full-time teaching job, so during the school year I am available on nights (after 4pm) and weekends. Over the summer and during holiday breaks, my schedule is much more flexible! I have two dogs that currently live at my parent’s house and come to stay with my every few weeks. This arrangement began when I got my dogs in college and could not keep them in my apartment, and we have found that it works best for them since I am gone most of the day for work. That said, my home is open and animal-free for any pet stays. We have a walkable neighborhood with friendly neighbors and fellow dogs. I also have experience dog-sitting at the dog’s home for those who do better with keeping their usual routine.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Bedford home-away-from-home, packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your New Bedford.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your New Bedford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
