About: Trusted, dependable pet and home care. I provide personalized attention, reliable communication & loving care for dogs of all breeds, personalities and energy levels while treating every pet and home with respect. I love having pets be part of my everyday routine. I enjoy getting outside and exploring local parks, trails and pet-friendly spots and I love taking dogs along for safe walks, play, enrichment and a little change of scenery when they’re comfortable with it. Every pet has their own personality, routine and comfort level, so I take the time to get to know what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Before a stay or visit, I like to meet with families, learn their pet’s routine, discuss feeding, medications, walks and any special instructions and make sure I understand what is normal for their pet. While they’re in my care, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible, giving them plenty of attention and companionship and making sure they feel comfortable in their own environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away.

“Cara is an exceptional pet sitter! She was willing to accept a last-minute booking request during the holiday season to watch my cat. She was professional, communicative, caring toward my cat, and attentive to his needs. She knew how to read his behavior and interact in a way that made him feel comfortable. Highly recommended for watching your cat!”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life growing up! From childhood family pups to my cute yorkie terrier Gio, I’ve always been around to either care for another family member’s dog, care for close friends’ dogs as well, to making sure Gio’s tail is always wagging. From having smaller pups in our family home, to even helping walk the neighbors’ Great Dane growing up, dogs have always been a part of my life, and will continue being so! I am eager to work with some of the best clients ever and making sure all dogs I have the privilege of caring for continue staying happy and healthy. I’m currently a full-time student at Florida Gulf Coast University and live in on-campus housing. Tuesdays through Thursdays are my busiest days of the week. However, I will be sure to routinely update my Rover calendar in my profile! Additionally, with advanced notice, I am flexible with days/times of the week :) Due to living in on-campus housing, I am unfortunately unable to bring your pets into my home. Additionally, I would not want pets in general to be in a dorm environment! The best way for me to care for your fur friends would be setting up a day and time you’d like me to care for your pet in your lovely home. From there, we can coordinate any other potential logistics! I am more than happy to work with you in finding the best/soonest date to find care for your pets- advanced notice is highly preferred, but not necessary!

I can do small dogs for board. Unfortunately I do not have property that’s fenced in. But I can definitely do nice long walks and lots of play time.

“I got stuck at work and wasn’t able to make it home to feed my kitties their lunch. I reached out to Joana last minute and she was so quick to respond. About: Hi, I’m Josie, and have been caring for animals for just about my entire life! At 14 years old I began volunteering at Domestic Animal Services. Through this I discovered my adoration for all types of animals, and since then have worked at dog kennels and veterinary offices. Through working at the vet I am also experienced in administering all sorts of medications, and have learned how to respond in the case of a health emergency. As a dog & cat owner myself, I know firsthand how important it is to find the right person who will treat your fur babies as their own! I am completely free on weekends, I do work a full time job during the week, depending on location may be able to go home & provide mid day care if needed! Unfortunately, due to my own dog not getting along well with other animals, I am only available to pet sit overnight at your own home. I am also able to do any other jobs that this would entail, such as getting the mail, taking trash in/out, etc.

“If I could give you 10 STARS, I would. Kayla is just OUTSTANDING! Completely TRUSTWORTHY, a TRUE PROFESSIONAL. This is the least nervous, most confident I've ever felt leaving. THANK YOU KAYLA! If I could tip you 1 million dollars, I would. HIGHLY recommend.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Naples Park
Gregg is beyond grateful for Abby's drop in visits to play, play, play and receive some mid-day cuddles. it was the longest amount of time I left him so I asked that she come for human companionship because a kitty's mental health matters too! Thank you, Ms. Abby. :) ~ from Gregg the Catt and Dama

Angie is seriously the best. She took care of my cats for a few days, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She didn't just stop by to feed them and clean their litter box, she stayed and spent quality time with them, making sure they weren't lonely while I was away. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were getting the attention and care they deserved. I'm grateful for Angie and would absolutely book her again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
