Xintong walked my Lily 75 pound 12 year old dog for 11 days. She was always prompt and sent photos and updates every time. Lily missed her after I returned. I’ll definitely contact Xintong again. Thanks again for giving me peace of mind while away.

Jillyn faced a really difficult challenge with this one, but she aced it. My dog had a rough start to life, so he has always been skittish around people. She took this on as a new client after my longtime sitter had passed away. Plus this was my first trip since my pup became an "only dog" a couple of years ago. She persisted in working with him and I remained 100 percent confident while away that my best buddy was in trusted hands.

We had recently adopted Pauley and this is was our first time that we were out of town. Needless to say we were bit anxious. Then we met Donna who has a very pleasing personality and had wonderful knowledge about the dogs. We couldn’t believe Pauley being so friendly with Donna at the first meet itself. We were pretty sure that Pauley was in good hands and couldn’t have asked for more. Would recommend Donna to all with no second thoughts.

About: Animals seem to sense my calm, trusting energy and immediately relax around me — I love the way they lean in. I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t imagine a world without them (truth: sometimes I even prefer their company!). If you’d like, I’m happy to chat or schedule a visit so you can see how I connect with your fur babies. I work from home so my time is very flexible. I will follow your instructions and create a safe, happy environment for your pet. We can take as many potty breaks as needed. I live in a secure area in N. Naples. With your permission, we will do daily walks, go to the park, ride in the car and just have a good time together. I love loving on 4 legged creatures so we'll become best friends.

About: My name is Alexandra and I am 38 years old and recently just moved to Naples. I currently have a cavachon and she is very adaptable to other animals. I also have a cat who is a total lovebug. I adore all dogs and cats of all breeds and ages. My schedule is extremely flexible. I am willing to bathe or give medication. I live for animals. I don't have any children. It is just my dog, cat and me so I have plenty of room and time to spend with furry friends! Please contact me anytime. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones! My job is solely to take care of animals. This has been my lifelong dream for a long time. They are my world. Animals are what get me out of bed and outside for fresh air and exercise. I have sidewalks and plenty of grass in my complex. I live in a condo and I have mainly hardwood floors so it's ok if your animal has an accident.

About: Nice to meet you! I come from a family of dog people, and I have more than a decade of experience in pet care. I grew up with dogs and small animals, and I’ve also fostered hundreds of dogs and puppies for several animal rescues, including Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue, Good Karma Pet Rescue and Big Dog Ranch Rescue. I have experience with all breeds of different sizes, ages and energy levels. I have a remote job, giving me flexibility to schedule a drop in for a walk or visit when I need to during the day. I would also love some company while I work at home and I’m able to provide up to hourly potty breaks. Note: I have tile flooring and no carpet in my home, making accident clean up easy. Please let me know if you have any rules/commands for your dogs! I’m very familiar with dog body language and will also be sure to take my cues from your pet to ensure they’re comfortable. My home is as dog proofed as possible, so client pets have freedom to roam throughout the day, unless you’d prefer they be confined to a specific room or area. I live in a safe, gated, residential neighborhood where I can walk your dog. I take plenty of breaks throughout the day to give your dog playtime and mental stimulation.

I would love to recommend Taylor to anyone who needs help with their dogs. Taylor offered a meet and greet prior to booking, came with treats and lots of energy for my high energy golden retriever. She wasn't overpowered by my 75# athletic pup. Taylor even offered to take her on a run with her. I am booking Taylor again! She's amazing and a great addition to our pack!

Jill watched our 16 1/2-year-old dog (Alvin) for the day all my husband and I took a day trip. We have never left him all day and was so pleased to find Jill. Our meet and greet was great and I could tell (Alvin) would be in wonderful hands. She came twice and let me know how he was doing each time. I would strongly recommend her as I would definitely be in touch with her again when we plan on next day trip.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
