“Adrianne was absolutely incredible! Not only was she available to help last minute during the holidays, but she went above and beyond in her care of my cat. She was thorough in making sure she had all the necessary information needed during our meet and greet and implemented my care instructions to a T. I will definitely be reaching out in the future when I’m in need of a cat sitter:)!”

“We have been trusting Kylie with our pets for over 2 years now, with zero regrets. She handles everything just fine - and we are able to enjoy our time away and not worry. Punctual, reliable. Highly recommend.”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 5 when I got my first dog, and I've been caring for animals ever since! I've cared for many different species, such as dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, cows, fish, and a couple of reptiles! I'm always looking for new animal friends and would love to meet yours! I'm currently a full time college student, and have two classes a day. I will be available for pet care at all hours other than 10-11am, and 12-1pm during my classes. I have a nice big hallway for your pet if a kennel is needed, and I have great access to a nice, safe walking path, plus a big yard for pets to play. I am very adaptable and can make anything work!
About: Have had many dogs and cats in a city environment and many in a country environment. Been taking care of them since I could remember! Pretty flexible and open, I work from home. I live with my girlfriend who is also on rover. Just reach out and we can talk about it! I recently moved into a great neighborhood! There are plenty of dog owners in my area so you don’t have to worry about anything, we’re a big community!
About: I've taken care of pets for as long as I can remember. Family and friends have relied on me to care for their furry friends for over 10 years. I even take care of cats and dogs professionally as a kennel assistant at an animal hospital! I'm a college student who works short hours part-time (at an animal hospital!), so I can always check in with your pet(s) between classes and before and after work! I can leash walk multiple dogs if needed, crate cats and dogs, and of course play with them for as long as they will have me!
“Issabella did a great job stopping in to care for our cat while we were out of town. She even brought a toy with her and the videos of our cat Doug seemed so happy. Grateful for Issabella!”

About: I've had pets my entire life- my family wouldn't be complete without my fur babies! Growing up we've had labs, a very large hound mix, and a golden retriever. I got my own dog, a black lab mix, when I graduated college and had her for 14 years until she passed 1.5 years ago. I adopted a stray American bulldog when my lab was around 3, and had her for about 8 years, until she passed. Don't currently have any pups, but I love them to death. I'm able to feed, water, brush, walk, play with, and even bathe them if needed! Hoping to add more puppy kisses to my life! I'm currently between jobs and looking to do something I enjoy on the side, so taking care of your cute critters is ideal! My daughter is at school all day and I have my own vehicle, so I'm happy to drop by your place and help out while you're away. I'm more than willing to accommodate any needs you may have when it comes to your pets. Please let me know how I can make you more at ease! Whether it's a certain thing you need me to do, sharing your cat or dog's likes or dislikes, or just wanting a check-in with a quick photo of Fluffy, I'll do whatever I can to make sure everyone is happy and healthy!
“Declan was sooooo amazing! I went on a 7-day trip and he stopped in to visit my cat Ty everyday! I always got lots of updates on his health and conformation that he got his meds. Not to mention all the cute photos! His updates really took the stress off of leaving my cuddly kitty home alone because I knew he was being taken care of. Declan is amazing!”

“Rachel is simply wonderful! She is incredibly attentive, reliable, and sends me updates after every visit. It’s such a relief to know our fur baby is in safe hands. I wouldn't trust anyone else!”

About: I have pet sit for many years. I love meeting new animals. I enjoy pet sitting because as a social worker I am able to come home to an animal and sent time with them. Animals are the way I cope. I have plenty of time to play with animals in the evenings and weekends. My schedule is very open for this and I am excited to have this opportunity I will ensure to keep everything the way I found it or even better. I know animals do best in their own environment so I have no problem being in other peoples homes. I show respect.
About: I love animals so much! I have three cats of my own. I have dog sat in home and visited homes for potty breaks, I have also walked dogs, volunteered at my local humane society and fostered animals! I also work at a veterinary clinic and have lots of hands on experience in the field. Rest assured any emergencies would be handled efficiently. I check on all my animals multiple times a week, I love to cuddle and love on any animals and give them tons of attention. I really enjoy basic training and walking with them! I feed detailed and thoughtful meals and spend quality time with any pet I am with. I do have a job that requires me to work many days during the week, but it doesn’t affect my ability to tend to animals in my care. My husband is also readily available to assist me whenever needed. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was about 10 years old, babysitting family and friends dogs along with taking care of my own dogs. I’ve been around them for as long as I can remember! I currently work three 12 hour shifts a week at the hospital, but I am looking to fill my days off with some doggy care! I will care for your dog at your home in the best way that I possibly can! I have a small dog of my own, I treat him as if he’s my child and I will do the same for any and every dog I take care of:)
About: I’ve always had at least one dog in the house. My family currently has 3 dogs and I’ve helped train and take care of 2 since they were puppies. I’ve taken care of senior dogs and we just rescued our 3rd dog who is 10. Before I go into work, I feed and let out the dogs. One of our dogs tore his ACL so I also tend to him with medication and making sure our other dogs aren’t getting him riled up. Throughout the day I let them out and stimulate them as well as feed them in the evenings. We have an electric fence at my house and also monitor the dogs when they are outside. We make sure they are well fed but not overweight and eating their food. We bathe them regularly and take them to the vet to keep them healthy. When watching other dogs, I make sure to follow instructions and keep an eye on the dog(s) when I’m with them. I make sure they are stimulated and well cared for.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Muncie
I haven’t had to leave my cats for more than a weekend in years so I was a bit nervous! But Declan was fabulous - I loved the daily updates and found that I was looking forward to the pictures every day that I was gone! And on a pet level, Declan managed to befriend my most skeptical cat, and even expand the group of people whose lap she will voluntarily sit on to a whopping three people. So, he definitely passed the vibe check! The other cat at one point attempted to go home with him, lol. Declan was super communicative and definitely made it a lot easier to not worry about the cats, will definitely book him again when needed!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
