About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and currently have both dogs and cats of my own, so I understand how different every pet’s personality and routine can be. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and can help with feeding, walks, playtime, medications, litter boxes, and keeping pets comfortable while their owners are away. I’m very attentive and patient, and I treat other people’s pets the same way I’d want someone to treat my own. I’m also comfortable with multi-pet households and pets that may need a little extra time to warm up to someone new. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to accommodate weekday and weekend pet care, including walks, drop-in visits, and extended care. I’m able to spend plenty of time with pets rather than rushing through visits, and I’m happy to work around their normal routines. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets and your home. I follow each owner’s instructions closely and make sure pets stay in a safe, comfortable environment while maintaining the routines they’re used to. I’m attentive to doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, medications, and anything else specific to your pet. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel comfortable knowing your pets are happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“My crew loves Amy, and she's the only reason I can imagine going away for more than a week without worrying about my babies. I know they get great care, and I get lots of pictures so I can see that they're happy!”

“Synthia was a lifesaver as our typical dog sitter (my mom) was unable to watch our doggies for us while we went on vacation. She got back to me very quickly when I sent an inquiry about watching our fur babies. She came to meet us and get familiar with our needs. Her daily reports were very thorough and prompt. She really put our minds at ease while we were out of state knowing they were being well taken care of! You can tell she loves animals and cares about meeting our needs. 10/10 recommend Synthia! She's a real sweetheart.”

“Kyla was amazing!! She dropped in many times throughout the weekend to feed, change our kitties water, and spend some time playing with them! Our kitties & family both loved her and will be surely returning for services as she is very professional, so so kind, and truly has a huge heart for animals!! 😇”

“Kat does an amazing job with Padmé. Padmé is very shy usually and I think she has warmed up to Kat in a very short time frame. Kat is very responsive and always ensures all Padmé needs are met. So far we love having her as a sitter!”

“Jess is fantastic, and the dogs always love when she comes over!!. She's a good communicator, and is so patient and loving with the pups, she will definitely be invited back!”

“I was so nervous about trying to find someone on Rover to take care of my two dogs. Iris answered my last minute booking and was absolutely amazing! She scheduled a meet and greet, and I knew from that point that she takes this seriously and has a love for animals. She did a great job giving us updates and pictures while we were away, and I felt like my pups were in great hands! I could also tell that my dogs really loved her! 100% will book with Iris again ❤️”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
