For longer rover sits, I ask that I can have access to wifi in order to work remotely from your home while still spending time with your pets. I currently have several regular clients and am opening up my availability to welcome a few new furry friends! I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m comfortable following each pet’s individual routine, whether that includes walks, meals, medications, playtime, or simply some extra company and attention while you’re away. I’m comfortable with crating, different feeding routines, leash walking, and administering oral medications. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel confident your pets are happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi, I’m Tess! I live in Charles Town, WV with my two-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louie, and two cats, Tatiana and Rudy — so your pet is walking into a home that already loves animals. I take a slow, easy approach to dog care. I let dogs sniff, wander, and just be themselves, whether we’re doing a neighborhood walk, a quick potty break, or a longer trail outing. Every walk is just two dogs at most, so your pup gets real time and attention. I always send photo updates along the way so you can see how they’re doing. I welcome dogs of all sizes who are friendly with other dogs, cats, and people. For boarding, I have a large fenced backyard and keep things small and relaxed — more like a home than a kennel. I also offer occasional house sitting for dogs who are happiest in their own space. I’d love to meet your pup! Feel free to reach out to check availability or set up a meet-and-greet. Fridays are my day off, so walks are unhurried and get my full attention. For boarding, I'm home all weekend, so any dog staying with me has someone around rather than sitting alone in an empty house. Dogs staying with me have access to a large fenced backyard and are never left alone outside. Inside, I keep a calm, low-stimulation environment. My Cavalier Louie lives here full time, so any boarding dog will be introduced to him gradually and supervised until I'm confident they're comfortable together. I do a meet and greet with Louie before confirming any boarding stay. For house sitting, I follow the owner's routine as closely as possible so the dog's environment feels as normal as it can while they're away. Photo updates are sent throughout any service.

“Sofia is absolutely fantastic. This was the first time I used someone on Rover and she made me feel so comfortable and at ease while I was on vacation. Her love for animals shined through the moment she met my foster cats and I could feel her love for them in every message and photo. I got lots of photos of her cuddling with them, giving them attention and being near them. They opened up to her immediately and as a pet (foster) parent, there’s no better feeling. “Suyen is wonderful. Our two dogs really liked her from our initial meet and greet through her stay with them. She has a very calming demeanor which is good as we have a two year old female GSD who is pretty high energy. Suyen played ball with her several times as well as lots of cuddle time with our other dog as that is his preferred activity. Suyen also took really good care of our home while we were away and it was a delight to come home to two happy dogs and a the house looking even better than we had left. About: I’ve lived with pets all my life and currently have one indoor cat (spayed, friendly) and one dog (spayed, spends most time outside). I’ve done dog sitting for up to two weeks in the past and cat sitting for up to one month both in my home and at pet owners’ homes. Though I prefer felines as they’re easier to manage, small/medium dogs are certainly welcome — as long as they’re not too vocal. I am a long distance runner and hiker, so no walking distance is too far for me! My arm strength does have a limit, so any dogs over 30 pounds who pull/aren’t fully leash trained are a no-go. Additionally, I’ve done pet sitting for guinea pigs and rabbits for 1-3 day periods! I work part time and do most work from home, so I’m continuously available all week. My home is right next to the W&OD trail, so walks are convenient all times of day and the trail is never crowded. I’m always happy to drive pets to the trail as well. My cat remains entirely indoors, but the dog has endless pits of energy and so spends lots of time outside. We have two fenced areas, one specifically for the dog and another for the pool, along with ~1 acre of unfenced yard.

About: I have been dog sitting/ walking for several years. The most dogs I have handled at 1 time was 3. I own 2 small dogs myself how ever I have experience handling big dogs as well. I have experience administering medication. I work 4 days on 3 days off so I would love to provide care for your animals on the days I have off! I'm more than happy to help! I can take your dog on daily walks, I love hiking can take a well trained dog with me! i trained my own to go with me, they're great both on and off the leash.
