I tried Rover once before; I selected a house sitter, and the person indicated she was staying, but I don't think she spent much time here; there was little sign of her living here and my cat was hysterical and needy when I returned. A young couple for house sitting is a good idea - they won't get lonely or bored by themselves. They were personable, responsible, and responsive, with good communication. They sent me lots of videos every day of my cat being content and entertained. My cat tends to be afraid of men, but she warmed right up to Jay, he was good with her. When I got home kitty greeted me as if I had only come home from the grocery store; she had been well taken care of. Alexia and Jay left the house clean and tidy. I offered to pay them extra for various chores around the house while they were sitting. They were happy to do them, and did a great job. I came home to a house better than how I'd left it. When my typically social cat decided to play hide and seek, Lydia didn't just move on. She made sure to lure him out, even having me record my voice to help call him, although a good old bowl of food is what finally did the trick lol. To top it off, when our AC went out due to a tripped breaker, she noticed right away and fixed it so our cats wouldn't get overheated!! She is attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely loves what she does. Receiving her detailed daily updates gave us complete peace of mind, knowing our pets were in the best possible hands. About: I grew up taking care of cats. The cat’s names that I grew up with are baby boy, Willow Jasper, and Bella sparkles. Is a gray tabby, Willow is a serval mix, and baby boy was a chunky black cat. I love them all and miss them dearly. I love getting to know each cat individually, getting to know their quirks and personalities is the most exciting part!

About: Hi! I’m a work-from-home mom of three amazing boys, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals wasn’t just a hobby — it was a way of life. I’ve owned pets my entire life and have also fostered many dogs over the years, so my boys have grown up learning how to properly handle, respect, and love animals. We recently lost our sweet dog last year and are taking a little break from owning one, but our home feels happiest with paws around. Dog sitting allows us to share that love while giving your pup the attention and care they deserve. Because I work from home full time, your dog will rarely be alone and will get plenty of supervision, affection, and companionship throughout the day. We have a large single-family home with lots of space to relax. There’s a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, as well as a spacious front yard — but please know your dog will never be outside unsupervised. In our home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on the couch and even in the bed for snuggles at night if that’s what they’re used to. My boys love giving extra attention, playtime, and belly rubs — always guided by what your dog is comfortable with. Our family truly adores and respects animals, and we will care for your dog as if they were our own — with patience, structure, affection, and lots of love. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home full time. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and regular potty breaks as often as needed. Your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. We go on at least one walk every day, and I’m happy to adjust the length or pace depending on your dog’s age and energy level. In addition to walks, I incorporate outdoor time, playtime, and plenty of affection into the day. Because I’m already on a steady home schedule, it’s easy for me to maintain feeding times, medication schedules, and any specific routines your dog is used to. About: I have 7 dogs at my house and been around animals my whole life we have 3 cats as well and chickens! I love taking cares of any time of animal you just need teach me! I am available anytime in the afternoons ranging from 12:30pm-9pm. From the time I wake up to the time I go to bed I usually am taking care of my animals but I can always fit in time for yours too! I will offer to feed your pets, buy treats, little bit of exercise and playing, I will make sure they have everything they need and make sure they don’t get into any trouble the best of my ability. And I always make sure my dogs play nice at home we do have two boys who fight but they are separated and live happily in their own worlds lol.
About: Hi, I'm restarting my animal care business. I want to ensure a stimulated experience with a swift pace and consistent disciplined walking style of what I like to refer to as "nose to toes," where the dogs stay no further than my toe, to my sides, or behind me. I have been in the animal care business for as long as I can remember, and I know Fairlington very well since I grew up here. I now live in Harper's Ferry in West Virginia. I will be able to track my walks with a phone app that will track your dog's walking pace, distance traveled, and the route we take. I usually do pack walks of 3-5 dogs depending on size, but I can do singles if needed. I'm also able to cat-sit/dog-sit and care for exotics and birds (no insects). I'm flexible because I have my own cleaning/organizing/declutter business. I wake up however early dog might need be let out or pet given meds, and give at least 3 long 30min-hour walks depending on the energy level and few let outs throught the day if needed for young pups or older if bladder is sensitive. Plenty of loves and can work on training or stimulated play time with toys and puzzles. I will be professional and not have any guests over ever, and always keep doors locked when not there and if plants need care I can help with watering. I have 4 animals myself so it's pretty automatic to just add another pet cuz I've cared for multiple animals at a time or drop in visits when needed throughout my day. Whatever the fmaily requests for schedule when to feed, medicate(if needed), amount of walks and play time needed to make sure they're healthy and stimulated. Whenever they're ready for bed, crate if needed requested by parents, and make sure they go outside(dogs) to ensure no accidents throughout the night. I give them just as much love and attention and play as my own. And feed round same schedule unless instructed otherwise. Giving exercise and play time when needed. And kept to routine of crating if owners instruct.

“Tammy is phenomenal! I had to take a trip for a few days and was I was pretty sad I had to leave my puppy. Tammy made it so stress less, she updated me with pictures and comments of how he was doing. Her home is so beautiful and well kept. My puppy had an amazing time and it made me feel so good he was well taken care of. My puppy will definitely be back to see Tammy and Mark.”
“Anahita was scheduled to take care of Rebel and Mae for a couple of days. An unfortunate event caused their stay to be short but she took very good care of them for the short period of time. We didn’t get any pictures or many updates but that was to be expected with their short stay. We would book again if needed. Thanks a bunch!”
“Five stars for Laura! Due to a family emergency, we had to find a last minute sitter for our lab. Laura was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the entire experience. During our pup’s stay, we received various photos and videos of him feeling at home and having fun. She clearly loves animals and makes sure your pet is loved. I would absolutely book with Laura again! Thank you Laura!”

“Kristen was so great with our pups and made all requester accommodations. Her property really is a doggy paradise! We could tell how much fun our pups had when we came to pick them up. They were tired (in a good way) from playing and socializing. Kristen also has tons of dog gear, so no need to bring your own (unless they need their favorite toy, etc ?). We left our pups there for 2 weeks and they were clearly in great hands. We will be sure to use Kristen again!”
“What can I say? Sarah was fantastic! The whole experience was so easy and wonderful for our dog. Sarah was flexible and very responsive. Super accommodating. She kept us supplied with lots of updates and photos during the whole visit. Our hound sometimes has anxiety during new experiences but she was so well cared for that she felt immediately at ease when we arrived and through the whole visit. Sarah and her wonderful family took such good care of her that I would absolutely want my dog to stay with her again. Highly recommend!”
