About: I grew up with indoor pets and learned how to care for my little doggies and bunny rabbit as a child. Over the past several years, I have been trusted by friends, neighbors and family to care for, walk, play with, feed and clean after up their pets. I will be attending dog grooming school in the fall, but my schedule is very flexible. The dog grooming school I attend is predominantly online, therefore allowing flexibility in pet care scheduling. I am available weekdays and weekends and am happy to try and modify my schedule to meet your needs. I try to follow the family’s requests regarding their pet’s routines and needs. In attempt to keep the pet comfortable and happy, I focus on providing feedings, changing water, allowing for outside play and toileting time. I love to play with all types of pets and hope to make them feel safe and secure while their family is away. I look out for the pet’s safety and report any concerning signs of illness/injury back to the family (as needed).
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a teenager and have experience with a wide variety of breeds and personalities. Currently, I have a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix and a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier. Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for German Shepherds, Beagles, Pit Bulls, Jack Russells, Labradors, and Schnauzers, and at one point had as many as six dogs. I’ve also owned a cat and have experience caring for cats as well. Friends frequently trust me to pet sit for them, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, playful, or needs a little extra patience, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I also am a Volunteer Dog walker and caregiver at Columbia Animal Shelter. I have a very flexible schedule and am committed to providing reliable, attentive care while you’re away. I’m currently in the army and work 2-3 days a week.my husband stays at home full time. I have a very flexible schedule. I care for every pet as if they were my own. In my client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of attention and affection. I know how important consistency is for pets, especially when their owners are away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and supervised environment with regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and lots of love. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, personality, and comfort level to help them feel secure and happy.
“Beverly did a great job! Very communicative and professional. This was my first time on Rover so I had a lot of questions and she was very forthcoming in helping to understand and in ensuring that my time away was stress free and my cats were in good hands. Great job!”

“Karina was fantastic with my cats! One of them is very shy and usually takes a very long time to open up to people but she made an exception for Karina! Big thank you and a huge recommendation to anyone else who needs their furry friends taken care of!”

“Fran once again has been a pleasure to work with and took such great care of my cats. She’s thoughtful and takes super pictures and sends detailed descriptions of her visits. I’m so glad we met Fran!”

“Heather is both professional and easy to work with as a human, and is truly adoptive of my fur kids, as well while spending time with them. My animals absolutely loved spending time with her and she took the time to care for both our geriatric princess and a precocious pup, exactly as they needed. I will definitely be keeping Heather on the short list, the list is exactly one name long. 🙂 10 out of 10 - would hire again!”

“Jessica was dependable and took great care of my 3 cats while I was on vacation. There was good communication and I appreciated the photos and updates on how they were doing during the drop-in visits.”

“thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my little girl!! she must have really loved your energy to be so sweet and snuggly with you, that says a lot! 💕 i appreciate you so much!!”

As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I have a cat named Cheesecake, and I treat every pet in my care like they’re part of my own family. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping to their normal routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll always provide plenty of love and attention, follow your pet’s routine, and send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! About: With over 5 years of experience, I’ve cared for everything from 8-week-old puppies to seniors needing end-of-life care. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes—from tiny lap dogs to 100+ lb giants—and can easily match any energy level, from zoomy pups to mellow seniors. As a college student on summer break, my schedule is wide open! I have plenty of time to give your furry friends the love, attention, and care they deserve. I exclusively provide care in your pet’s own home through walks and check-ins, keeping them comfortable in their routine. I’m reliable, respectful of your space, and always prioritize safety and trust.
“Kristin is awesome! I booked check ins for Christmas day and the morning after. I'm so happy she could check on my two cats. She had mentioned to me at the meet and greet that this was her busiest Christmas week yet with a lot of bookings. I have worked in retail for a few years now and Christmas week can be so overwhelming, especially with now that I travel for family while having pets at home. I am so appreciative that she was able to show them care and attention even with one of the craziest weeks of the year. I had booked her in advance but even then I was worried and anxious about this. My job had me scheduled christmas eve, and then I was taking a midnight train to Florida that night. Plus this would be the first night that my cats were alone together without me. I'm just so happy that Kristin could check on them, they were happy and comfortable seeing her while I was gone. I am really thankful for her and she's a great sitter.”

“Ashley was great with my dog! She was quick to respond, had great communication, sent me picture updates of Thor and took excellent care of him. I would definitely use her again!”

About: I enjoy being able to spend time with all kinds of different dogs and taking care of them when their parents are out of town. I personally have a Aussiedoodle and a mini Bernedoodle who keep me busy and happy. I believe all dogs deserve a good walk and quality time throughout the day and would be more than happy to help out with that. I currently work full time during the week but would be able to look after your pets after 3pm on Fridays and all day Saturday and Sunday. During drop ins/walks I make sure to treat your home with respect and your pet the same as if they were my own. I believe that safety and trust is the most important factor.

Olivia was wonderful. She came to meet us before booking her, first impressions are everything and my first impression of her was she so sweet and flexible with our schedules. She was always very responsive and did a great job taking care of our cats. I’ll definitely be booking with her again in the future!!!

Sydney was so great with our cat! This was our first time leaving our cat for an extended period of time, and Sydney always sent photos with each visit and let us know how our cat was doing. Sydney was also super flexible with us too. If we ever needed a cat sitter again, I would want to book Sydney again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
