Pet care is a part of my life. I take care of my own pets every day, and it isn't hard to add an extra furry friend into the mix to get loved on, spoiled, walked, and played with. I work remotely with a schedule that has some flexibility, allowing me to come by and check on your animals at varying times depending on their needs!

I typically try to get a feel for what your routine is with your pet, and then I follow that exactly in an effort to keep your pet feeling relaxed and comfortable in the schedule he/ she is accustomed to. I am not new to pet sitting and have taken care of the pets of my friends and family whenever they are away for as long as I can remember and am excited for the opportunity to help with your sweet pets as well 🥰

Information Rachel P. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any dietary restrictions? Are treats okay or would you prefer me not to give any? Do they have a favorite toy? I thrive on details, so feel free to share anything that you think that your pet would like me to know!
A typical day
Typically for a lunchtime visit, walking the neighborhood and letting your dog smell along the route and do their business is the standard. I will also take lots of pictures to share with you. If it is raining, I will take your dog out for a quick potty break but then play with them inside to stimulate their mind and help them burn off some energy. If your dog is more of the couch potato variety who prefers snuggles to playtime, I can make that happen as well.

Pet care experience
I have never lived in a home without a handful of furry family members. I started caring for the pets in my childhood home with "chores" at the age of 5, but I never considered it chores to feed the cats or the dogs or take the dogs outside to do their business or to play with any of them. I love animals of all kinds and can be found socializing with the pet at almost any social gathering. I personally have a dog, two cats, two fish, and a rabbit. I also am a runner, so if you have a high energy dog with high-activity needs, I can take him or her on a run with me as well. That is a service that would need to be before or after normal business hours or on weekends, though. Walks, check-ins, playtime, and snack time are still options for me to do during a normal visit in regular business hours.
Reviews

Rachel does an excellent job taking care of our Dixie !! Highly recommend Rachel for drop-in visits !!

Rachel watched my two inside cats and feral cat outside. They didn't come out to see her but I could tell the girls were happy and well taken care of! I will definitely try to rebook Rachel for my next trip!

Rachel did a fantastic job taking care of our cat Dixie while we were on vacation !! We can’t thank her enough !!

I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough. She’s so communicative and always goes above and beyond.
