“I cannot recommend Meg enough! She took incredible care of my senior pup Cooper, treating them like family while I was away. I received regular updates, photos, and videos, which really helped ease my mind. It was clear my pup was not only well cared for but truly happy—whether going on walks, getting bones and treat, or just snuggling up. Very grateful for all she did to keep my pup calm and comfortable.”

“Sebastian was absolutely wonderful. Our pets stayed a week with him and are just happy and healthy when we returned. Our home was neat and clean and we were so happy. We highly recommend his services and will be booking another trip with him.”

“Whitney stayed overnight with Bolt. Bolt immediately seemed at ease with her. She took him for his walks and fed him. We were delayed returning and she was gracious enough to stay until we returned. Will definitely book her services again. Thanks Whitney!”

“James did a great job watching our dog while we were overseas for two weeks. He took care of everything and went above and beyond, even cooking chicken for our dog who went on a hunger strike while we were gone. We were able to vacation without any worries, knowing that our pup was in good hands!”

“Jaclyn did a great job taking care of my dog and cat while I was away for 4 days. She sent photos and updates which made us feel better about being away from our pets. She asked questions when needed and took care with our home. I would definitely recommend her and will use her services again.”

“Janaah was wonderful, I felt very comfortable leaving my dog Willow for several days and nights!!--Janaah is very kind and tolerant of "special needs" pets and medications --my senior dog was terrific when I got back--not stressed or having any issues whatsoever !!”

About: Along with working in the animal field for over 15 years, I'm also a dog and cat foster for 2 different rescues for 10 years. My experience expands broader than Rover, so don't let the lack of reviews fool you. I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time in my schedule to add in walks, visits, playtime, or anything else that is required. I have been fostering dogs for over 10 years. Although we don't have a fence, we have a double gate system at each door to ensure there are no risks of bolting. (Each room with an exit outside is gated by a tall, locking baby gate that is ALWAYS shut behind us when we exit.) As for the clients, home, I am willing to do what the client desires in order for their pet to feel as happy and comfortable as possible while their owner is away. All prices are negotiable.
“Kayleigh was amazing with my 3 pugs. She was kind, dependable and definitely loved my dogs. She was also very reliable, which is always nice when you are booking someone to watch your dogs aka babies. I highly recommend Her and am looking to use her again real soon. Thanks..😊”

“Morgan was an amazing pet sitter and took great care of our cat while we were away. We are both vets and know that we can definitely be “extra” when it comes to being pet parents, but Morgan was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable during the experience. She sent us update pictures and did well with communication over the whole trip. Henri seemed to really like Morgan too. He can sometimes be a little slow to warm up to people, but he appeared to warm up to Morgan quickly and liked to hang out with her. Since he is a cat with previous FLUTD signs (stress-related urinary issues), we were nervous about this experience, but Morgan did a great job being patient with Henri and making him comfortable and happy. We would definitely recommend Morgan to anyone needing a pet sitter and will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve grown up with a dog since I was born. I’ve walked, bathed, brushed, and cared for so many furry friends. I love my dog with all my heart she’s my child. I’ll love yours the same. Pet care is a big part of my day to day. I walk my girly multiple times a day so I don’t mind helping others. Mornings, evenings, and weekends are when I would be available. Showing affection and love first is important. I want to let them come to me when I first meet them so they are comfortable. Making sure their basic needs are met. Potty, food, lots of love. check, check, check.
“Natalie watched our dog Ruby over the holidays and was amazing! Ruby got lots of walks and love and Natalie kept us updated with photos and messages everyday. We were so grateful to find her and felt peace of mind while we were on vacation. Looking forward to having her sit for us again!”

“Andrea was very kind and communicative throughout the visit. She arrived on time for the meet and greet and was gentle and patient with my puppy during an important adjustment period. I appreciated her professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to provide updates while I was away. Thank you again for your help and care with Dolly!”

“Samantha was Fabulous!! It was like having a Family member be at our home and watch the dogs. She arrived promptly, and the dogs took to her instantly, so did I! We have two large older dogs, and my daughter's 4 year old, diabetic dog were at our house so we could go out to dinner. With her background in emergency care, she clearly understood giving insulin. Our usually aloof male Lab, planted himself on the couch to be next to her, a doggie thumbs up! Throughout the evening, she sent pictures, and kept us abreast of what they were doing, and where they settled in. It was nice to be able to go out with the whole family and not be worried about what they dogs were up to, or if their needs were being met. We have already booked her for our larger Group outing for the Holidays...Samantha is a gem!”

About: We are the epitome of an animal family and have had dogs and cats our whole lives! In addition to having our own fur baby's, we volunteer with a rescue at their events and foster and train puppies 1 week a month. Our children even want to be vets and have taken kids vet classes. The adults in the house work from home and provide plenty of walks and love all throughout the day. Our fur guests are always treated like family when they are here. Both adults in the house work from home and provide walks and outside play time at least every 2 hours (more if we have a puppy). We love to take our pups on daily walks throughout the whole development in additional to backyard play time. We have a very pet friendly development and will take your pups on walks and playtime in the backyard. We offer mimicking your home care so if you crate train, we will crate train. If your fur baby sleeps in your bed, your fur baby can sleep in our bed. We have dog beds and toys throughout the house and our own dogs for your pup to play with throughout the day. Your dogs will always be treated like our own while they are here and get plenty of love and attention.
“Gabrielle took excellent care of our cat and dog while we were away for a few nights! We can always trust her to take great care of them, and we never stress when we go away. Our dog has anxiety and requires medication - Gabrielle is great with him and he really likes her!”

“Destiny was so amazing with my dog Finn! She sent lots of photos and videos for me and Finn looked so happy! She is so awesome and Finn had the most wonderful time and was very spoiled! Would definitely use her again! :)”

About: I have had 3 family dogs throughout my life, I personally take care of reptiles and amphibians, and I genuinely love to care for animals! I personally own a bearded dragon named Ember and in the past, I have briefly homed poorly cared for lizards and found them new homes. My family currently has a pit bull terrier mix, named Nyla. She is the absolute light of my life and she truly made me realize how happy caring for animals made me. I am a recent college graduate so I currently have full availability, I will make sure to update if my current schedule undergoes any changes! I want to respect anyone’s home and pets as if they were my own. Safety and attention to detail is always important when someone trusts you to work for them.
“Patrick literally saved the day! I had a last minute cancellation and he was able to help us out. Squishy and Storm felt comfortable with him from the start. He communicated with us throughout the day and we received several pictures and videos. Our pups had such a wonderful time that when we came home they were happy and super calm. He really treated my babies like they were his. Looking forward to working with Patrick again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Mount Holly on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 5,147 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mount Holly. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Holly walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Holly maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Holly choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Holly. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
