Megan was truly amazing taking care of our pets. She followed all of our pet care instructions which included feeding a picky dog and a cat who needs medication daily. Without me having to ask, she sent constant updates (and pics) throughout the day which made me feel at ease being so far away on vacation. She is also very respectful of the home she stays in. We would 100% hire her again on our next trip.

About: We are the epitome of an animal family and have had dogs and cats our whole lives! In addition to having our own fur baby's, we volunteer with a rescue at their events and foster and train puppies 1 week a month. Our children even want to be vets and have taken kids vet classes. The adults in the house work from home and provide plenty of walks and love all throughout the day. Our fur guests are always treated like family when they are here. Both adults in the house work from home and provide walks and outside play time at least every 2 hours (more if we have a puppy). We love to take our pups on daily walks throughout the whole development in additional to backyard play time. We have a very pet friendly development and will take your pups on walks and playtime in the backyard. We offer mimicking your home care so if you crate train, we will crate train. If your fur baby sleeps in your bed, your fur baby can sleep in our bed. We have dog beds and toys throughout the house and our own dogs for your pup to play with throughout the day. Your dogs will always be treated like our own while they are here and get plenty of love and attention.

Kayleigh is without a doubt the best dog / house sitter we have ever had. Our dog Emma had a great time with Kayleigh and we returned to our home just as we left it. Kayleigh took lots of photos and kept us informed the entire time we were away, which eased any concerns we may have had (since this was the first time Kayleigh watched Emma). While this was the first time Kayleigh watched Emma, it certainly won't be the last. Thank you Kayleigh.

Morgan was an amazing pet sitter and took great care of our cat while we were away. We are both vets and know that we can definitely be “extra” when it comes to being pet parents, but Morgan was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable during the experience. She sent us update pictures and did well with communication over the whole trip. Henri seemed to really like Morgan too. He can sometimes be a little slow to warm up to people, but he appeared to warm up to Morgan quickly and liked to hang out with her. Since he is a cat with previous FLUTD signs (stress-related urinary issues), we were nervous about this experience, but Morgan did a great job being patient with Henri and making him comfortable and happy. We would definitely recommend Morgan to anyone needing a pet sitter and will definitely use her again in the future.

About: I have had 3 family dogs throughout my life, I personally take care of reptiles and amphibians, and I genuinely love to care for animals! I personally own a bearded dragon named Ember and in the past, I have briefly homed poorly cared for lizards and found them new homes. My family currently has a pit bull terrier mix, named Nyla. She is the absolute light of my life and she truly made me realize how happy caring for animals made me. I am a recent college graduate so I currently have full availability, I will make sure to update if my current schedule undergoes any changes! I want to respect anyone’s home and pets as if they were my own. Safety and attention to detail is always important when someone trusts you to work for them.

About: Along with working in the animal field for over 15 years, I'm also a dog and cat foster for 2 different rescues for 10 years. My experience expands broader than Rover, so don't let the lack of reviews fool you. I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time in my schedule to add in walks, visits, playtime, or anything else that is required. I have been fostering dogs for over 10 years. Although we don't have a fence, we have a double gate system at each door to ensure there are no risks of bolting. (Each room with an exit outside is gated by a tall, locking baby gate that is ALWAYS shut behind us when we exit.) As for the clients, home, I am willing to do what the client desires in order for their pet to feel as happy and comfortable as possible while their owner is away. All prices are negotiable.

About: Your pets aren't "just pets" — they're family. And as someone who has shared my life with dogs for many years, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with their care. I began my animal-care journey studying Animal Sciences at Rutgers University's Cook College. Although my career eventually took me in a different direction, animals remained a constant part of my life. I've been pet sitting for friends and family for 27 years, and I also worked as a veterinary technician for 6 years. My veterinary experience gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs with a variety of needs, including senior and medically fragile pets. I'm comfortable administering: Oral medications Eye drops Subcutaneous fluids Senior-pet care and monitoring Feeding and medication routines Providing extra patience and attention to older or anxious dogs My beloved 15-year-old Shih Tzu recently passed away, and while losing him has been incredibly difficult, it has also reminded me how much I love caring for animals. I'm ready to open my heart — and my schedule — to caring for other people's beloved pets. Today, I'm a wife and mother who works from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable pet care while being available when your pets need me. Whether your dog needs a midday visit, companionship while you're away, medication administration, or simply someone who will treat them like family, I bring years of experience, patience, compassion, and genuine love for animals to every visit. Your pet's comfort and well-being are my priority. I work remotely from home and have had a flexible work-from-home schedule for the past seven years, which allows me to be very accommodating with pet-care needs. I'm available for morning visits after 8:30 AM, once I get my daughter on the school bus, as well as midday walks and visits while you're at work. Because I work remotely, I'm also happy to spend the day at your home with your pets when needed, as long as I have access to Wi-Fi so I can work while keeping your pets company. My only regular scheduling limitation is 3:00–5:00 PM on weekdays, when I'm busy with school pickup and getting my children to their afternoon activities. Weekends are generally open and flexible, and I'm happy to work with you to find a schedule that fits your pet's routine and your travel plans. My flexible schedule allows me to provide more than just a quick check-in—I can give your pets plenty of companionship, attention, and care throughout the day. I believe the best pet care starts with making your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m playful and attentive, but I’m also responsible and observant—I pay attention to your pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs. I’m happy to care for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, including larger dogs up to 100 pounds. I also welcome cats! Whether your pet is energetic and ready to play or prefers a quiet afternoon curled up beside me, I’m happy to meet them where they are. Your home is your pet’s safe place, and I treat it with the same respect I would want for my own home. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, and make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety measures are secure. Most importantly, I want your pets to look forward to seeing me! I’ll give them plenty of attention, playtime, affection, walks, and companionship, while respecting their boundaries and individual personalities.

FAQs for House Sitting - Westampton Township

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Westampton Township on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 5,210 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westampton Township. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westampton Township walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westampton Township maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westampton Township choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westampton Township. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
