Between my 2 dogs, one is very elderly (17 years old) and one has severe anxiety. Kathleen took excellent care of both of them and was communicative along the way with photos and daily updates. “My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”

About: Growing up, I had a golden retriever named Daisy. Daisy is was from an organization I worked with called NorCal Golden Rescue. We fostered her for a couple of weeks but fell in love with her undeniable love and decided to adopt her. NorCal Golden Rescue mainly rescues golden retrievers who have been neglected and abandoned from the streets of Taiwan and bring them to the San Francisco Bay Area where they are paired with a fur-ever home. I have with dogs of all ages and temperaments from young lively puppies to old mellow senior citizen doggos. If need be I have experience with delivering oral and topical medication to dogs; as well as putting on the cone of shame :(. I love taking dogs out for adventures so if you don’t want your dog to be board, I’m your guy!

We had such a great experience with Bianca! This was our first time leaving Honey at someone else’s home, and Bianca made us feel completely comfortable from the start. She followed all of our instructions, was incredibly professional and communicative, and sent us updates while we were away, which we really appreciated. Anne was wonderful with our 2 ½ year old golden while we visited the area for a wedding. Did a brief meet-and-greet, and when things seemed good, we dropped Estes off the next day en route to the event. We booked overnight boarding, but Anne was flexible and allowed us to stop by for pick up after 9 pm. During her short stay Estes had two good walks, lots of play at home, dinner, and a rest ! Whew.
