Dipanjana was very proactive and thoughtful in preparing us for our first day care visit, letting Maui get familiarized with her dog and home, ahead of our daycare appointment, which I appreciated immensely since my dog has separation anxiety. She is relaxed and easy with communication and with Maui to make him feel at home like letting him sniff around, play with toys, or sit on her lap. She was also very on top of it with any instructions I had for his stay. Her home and neighborhood are also very clean and comfortable. It was so great to see Maui in pic updates and in good spirits when I picked him up and I look forward to another stay in the future soon!”

About: I have been a dog lover since I got my first dog, Kiwi the puggle, about 20 years ago. While I can't have a dog at my current place, I love to hang out with my friends dogs and dog walk/sit when I can. I have experience dog sitting a variety of dogs - from a senior german shepherd/mastiff mix to a bernadoodle puppy, to high energy australian shepherds and golden retrievers. I would be more than happy to take your dog for a long walk or hike (if that's what they'd like), and am fine with just hanging on the couch and giving pets. I also have experience cat sitting! I had a rambunctious tuxedo cat in college named Chia who I loved dearly. I was the regular sitter for my friends cat who required oral medication. I've cat sat for a number of other cats, from a range of playful to timid to independent. I work from home Monday and Friday, so on those days I have flexibility to provide the care your pet specifically needs. I try to respect your pets needs and boundaries as well as respecting the home that I am sitting in. If a dog seems high to medium energy, I try to provide stimulation through walks and play. I also make it a priority to respect the boundaries of your pet. I will give them space and let them come to me if they are shy, will be gentle and patient if I sense anxiety, all the while trying to let them know that they are safe & that I am a friend.

About: I have experience with pet sitting for friends and neighbors over the past year along with having had all different breeds of dogs growing up and enjoy their company. I love to go for walks, hikes, the beach and would love to take your dog with me. I've had to give senior dogs medication and look after them. I know how hard it is to trust someone to watch your fur baby when your away and I'm that person and I will treat them like royalty. I am home everyday at 12:00. My husband works from home so one of us is always home with your dog. I am ready when I get home to take your dog with me on a walk or hike. Your dog will have access to a dog run area all day long and a large backyard when we are home. I have a house with a large fenced in yard and your dog will have complete access to outside at all times. At this time I don't have a dog of my own, so there will be no conflict between dogs. I want your dog to feel at home as much possible.

“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”
