About: I’ve always been around animals and have always loved them! I approach very gently and bring snacks or treats as long as it’s allowed and no allergies, toys of course, walks to parks if allowed, to pools, I just love spoiling pets in the best ways they can be! If you need me to put any medication or give anything I can do that for you! I work full time but am able to take as much time to walk pets or run any errands I need to, I’m in car sales so it’s pretty lenient, any time off I’m available to do anything I just clean at home or hangout with my Godchild and best friend! Making sure anything is put away that can be broken or torn; I always call it baby proofing the house because if it’s baby proofed it’s pet proof, as long as no baby toys are around lol. In my home; I separate my kittens from the other pets and assure they get along first and let them smell any of their toys or anything that has their scent and vise versa to get them accustomed to the other animal
“Amanda did a wonderful job! Very friendly. Took great care of our two dogs. And provided an update every day we were gone, sometimes including photos. Will definitely use her again.”

“Thom was the absolute BEST dog sitter I have ever had. And I have been using rover for years! He sent me frequent pictures, videos, and updates of my girl while she was there. He took amazing care of her and handled her high energy so well! He is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and so kind. I have never felt more comfortable leaving my girl with a new sitter. I recommend him to everyone!”

About: I have taken care of dogs & cats since I was a child. I’m 30 years old, & I work in Dentistry Monday-Thursday 8-6, so I will be the only person in my home that can look after your animals anytime Friday-Sunday! I work full time in a Dental office Monday thru Thursday 8am to 6pm, so I would be available after 6pm until the next morning. I’m available anytime Friday thru Sunday. I have leashes in our yard. It is a 2 year old home & I have not saved up for a fence yet. I have 2 friendly male dogs. I have cats in our home as well, so if your animal doesn’t do well with other animals I have a large crate in our garage it can sleep in, & I can keep our animals separate.
“Julie was AMAZING! She sent me multiple updates each day to ease my anxiety and took such great care of my pup! My pup is high energy and a lot to deal with and Julie handled her perfectly. I absolutely recommend trusting Julie to watch your pup!”

“Alyson was very professional. I truly believe she took care of my Blake as if he were hers. Her communication skills were superb. She sent me pictures because she knew this was my first time doing this. I would recommend her to anybody. I would absolutely book her for Blake again.”

“My big lush of a dog had a great time with Sarah! I got pictures everyday which was great because I’ve never left Ursa before and I was very sad and nervous about it. I 100% recommend Sarah!”

“I took a chance. We were in a huge bind. We have amazing friends that loooove their critters and they trusted Danielle. She had an opening and we went purely on faith. We couldn't be happier that our Daisy actually wasn't all that happy to see her "favorite" person in the world pick her up this morning. I was a little shocked that she wasn't all over my husband when he picked her up this morning. But, it's an incredible feeling knowing she felt that safe and spoiled without him.”

About: I’ve been working with pet, law enforcement, and military dogs for 4+ years in both the training and handling aspects of things. I’ve trained over a thousand or so dogs in that span of time, both for businesses I worked for and now I do it on my own. I understand dogs extremely well and I’m happy to follow instructions on what keeps your dog the happiest. When your dog is with me, they have a companion in human form while you are away and we will do as many things to embrace their unique canine personalities. If that’s swimming, walking, ball, tug, or doing tricks for food, that’s what they will get. Beyond that, I simply love dogs and I have and will be working with them for a long, long time.

About: I grew up around pets in the home my whole childhood and i absolutely love animals and taking care of them! I do not have a fenced in yard but I can take your pets to the park, i do not own any other animals either.
“This was our first time using Rover and really leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know so we wanted to be sure she would be safe and loved. Booking with Lori was the best decision we could have made! Her love for animals and experience with special needs dogs was evident from the moment we began speaking and the care our dog received from her is by far better than other past trusted sources we have used. We were nervous as I’m sure most people are when leaving their fur babies behind, but on the first evening we knew she was in great hands and we could finally relax. Our dog has one eye and is losing sight in the other and has some allergies, and Lori cared for her perfectly! She kept us updated with photos, messages, and videos and took her on plenty of walks and gave her all the love. Plus our dog really enjoyed being around hers as well! This experience was beyond our expectations and if we need to leave our dog in the future, Lori will be the first person we check with! Thank you for taking such great care of Osha and for making our first vacation in over 3 years the most peaceful experience we’ve ever had!”

“Our puppy had a great time playing and running in Carlos’s large backyard with the other dogs she was watching. She had a wonderful 3 night stay and Carola send lots of pictures and videos to keep us updated! We can’t thank her enough!”

“Amy and Jason are amazing!! Very welcoming!! Prepared; Mochi is part of their family when there, they treat her as one of their own! Could not have asked for more…Mochi returns home very calm and gets back into real life at home quickly. Thank you! If you are hesitant; don’t be!!”

“Highly recommend Melanie for your pup’s stay-cation. She sent us pictures of our sweet Riley, had a big fenced in yard for the pups to run around, and spent a lot of time with her. We felt at ease during our vacation, knowing Riley was well taken care of.”
“Hannah is the BEST!!! Highly recommended. I immediately felt like I was dealing with someone who has it together which gave me peace of mind that Moses was in good hands. She was friendly, communicative, and sent photos and updates. At no point was I worried about my sweet pooch. Thank you, Hannah. You’re greatly appreciated.”

Jennifer and her family took wonderful care of our dog, Dan! He came back super happy! We love that she sent photos throughout his stay and showed genuine care and love for him. They have a big yard for play time and it seemed that he got lots of attention. We would definitely book with her again!

This was our first time using Rover. We were looking for someone to care for our senior Bassett (Lucy) for two weeks. After reading about Carly I felt like she would be the perfect caretaker and I was right! Carly was so kind and sweet when we went to have our meet and greet. She has a large beautiful and secure backyard. Carly made our holidays even better by sending us pictures and updates about how Lucy was doing great throughout the time we were away. She was also quick to respond when I reached out to her. We are so happy to have had the pleasure of meeting Carly and blessed to have someone so sweet and caring to take care of our girl while we were away. We will definitely book with Carly again in the future. Thank you so much Carly 💓

Natalie was amazing! Super nice, knowledgeable about dogs and boarding, and so welcoming! Our doggo Jordi took a liking to her immediately and we were so happy to leave him in the care of a loving family instead of a nameless/faceless boarding facility. Jordi only stayed one night, but we received multiple photos and videos and messages about his activities and it was such a relief knowing he was so well cared for. We will definitely use Natalie to board Jordi in the future when the need arises again and we will be recommending her to any friends in need of pet sitting as well. Thank you so much, Natalie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
