About: I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom had as many as six dogs at a time, and I was actively involved in their daily care from a very young age. We also had multiple litters of puppies over the years, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages—from newborn puppies to senior dogs. In addition to dogs, I've cared for cats, rabbits, and hamsters, making me comfortable with a variety of pets and their unique needs. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I've spent a lifetime around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Most recently, my two beloved dogs passed away. While I'm not quite ready to bring new pets into my home yet, I miss having animals in my life. About: Hello my name is Fern and I’m the critter sitter! My schedule is pretty flexible I’m in Salem, Va Fridays through sundays every week. I’ve been owing/caring for my own animals and others’ for 11 years. Dogs of all sizes and breeds, cats, exotics, fish and horses specifically. I’m quite experienced administering oral, topical and insulin type medications. I raised and trained my own service dog (in pictures - the brown muttley girl<3) so I have a lot of animal psychology, animal training and one year of veterinary experience and education. I’m happy to travel 9 miles outside of east Salem for anybody. I follow verbal or written instructions and medication/walk/playtime schedules to the T. I send daily pictures multiple times a day for parent reassurance because that’s important to me.

I currently work as a nurse M-Th 730-5 and Friday 7:30-12. I have an aussiedoodle/border collie at home, during the work week he is let out before work, on my lunch break, and when I’m off. About: I don’t just watch dogs—I pay attention to them. As a dog owner myself, I know every pet has their own personality, routines, and quirks. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual. Whether your pup needs playtime, companionship, structure, or just someone who understands them, I’ll care for them the way I’d want my own dogs cared for. Basic experience in some training. I’m available after 4 pm most days and all day on weekends. I’ll have more availability starting in July! If you’re interested, ask and I’ll see if I can accommodate! I care for every pet according to their individual needs and routine. In my clients’ homes, I work to keep things as normal as possible by following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any household rules. I also provide plenty of attention, affection, and updates so owners can feel confident their pets are doing well. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable environment with supervised play, regular potty breaks, exercise, fresh water, and lots of companionship. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, energy level, and preferences so they feel secure and cared for while their family is away. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free, whether they’re in their own home or mine.
About: I have owned several pets in my life, dogs and cats. I have ample experience in caring for and raising said animals. I specifically have a cat currently, Autumn, who I found as a stray in the woods as a kitten and raised her to a healthy state. I am currently working a 4-10's schedule with flexible days. So long as I have two weeks in advance, any day should be okay. On those off days, I mostly stay at home, so your animals will receive plenty of care. I have two cats, of whom I take care of well. Each has their own litter box and I ensure both get a fair share of wet food while also ensuring they don't get overfed. I also ensure to play with them at least twice a day. I have an unfenced yard but am willing and able to walk the dog directly on a leash, my yard is large enough to walk them in the yard itself.

About: I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom had as many as six dogs at a time, and I was actively involved in their daily care from a very young age. We also had multiple litters of puppies over the years, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages—from newborn puppies to senior dogs. In addition to dogs, I've cared for cats, rabbits, and hamsters, making me comfortable with a variety of pets and their unique needs. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I've spent a lifetime around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Most recently, my two beloved dogs passed away. While I'm not quite ready to bring new pets into my home yet, I miss having animals in my life. Pet sitting felt like the perfect way to continue spending time with pets, providing them with the same love, attention, and care that I gave my own.
