I understand routines matter, so I pay close attention to your pet's needs and keep communication open with regular updates, photos, and messages. My goal is always for you to feel confident and for your pet to feel right at home. Retired, reliable, and available full-time to help with your pet-sitting needs. Happy to love on those furry friends whenever it benefits their owners. I have housed dogs and cats all my life. My home is safe and animal-friendly. I have a large yard to play in, although it is unfenced. Happy to walk the puppies as often as they would like, good for both of us!
“You will be very impressed with Erica. My Huckleberry Finn adores her! She will send you pictures and updates the whole time she has your fur baby. Also she takes them for walks and play time”
“Amanda did a wonderful job! Very friendly. Took great care of our two dogs. And provided an update every day we were gone, sometimes including photos. Will definitely use her again.”

“Ashley was amazing with Sadie!! It was an emergency situation for us and Ashley made me feel so comfortable leaving our fur-toddler with her and her family! Ashley was so kind and had nothing but great photos and updates to send us throughout the week. We will definitely book with Ashley when needed in the future!”

“Mallory and her husband are very nice, and very flexible. She will take a picture of my dog and text to me. My dog had fun staying with them. Will definitely recommend Mallory as your dog sitter.”

“We were taking the kids to great wolf lodge. This was a last minute booking Elizabeth was so accommodating. I sent the request at 1pm she replied immediately. Leo adapted well she sent updates on how he was adjusting which made me feel at ease since this was my first time leaving him. I would definitely recommend her if you’re in that area.”

“Samuel and Erica were great! I got lots of pictures and feedback. Samuel and Erica have Lana well trained as others have stated, and it’s evident. Moose settled in with them pretty quickly. Moose is small and didn’t want to play. They both learned to peacefully co-exist just as Samuel and Erica have experienced with other small pups. I highly recommend them!”

“I can not say enough good things about Lori, I was in a jam and Lori helped me out last minute watching my 2 puppies on a Holiday weekend. She could have over charged me like one of the dog sitters on here tried to do but she did not. She sent me pictures several times a day and even video's which was awesome. I will definitely be reaching out to her again on my next trip. Thank you so much Lori you were wonderful with my puppies.”

“Do you want your pets to feel so at home and comfortable that they are upset when they leave? Mark's house is the place to be! Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark helped us on short notice and was able to provide us peace and reassurance that our babies were cared for! Mark kept our male and female German Shepherds, and they had an absolute blast. Mark sent us multiple photos and videos and kept us very up-to-date on what they were doing throughout their visit. He asked questions about their personalities and needs that showcased his care and attention to detail. With his knowledge and experience with German Shepherds, it really shined in the care he provided them! I would definitely recommend Mark, and especially recommend Mark to people with German Shepherds or working line dogs! We and our babies would love to use Mark again!”

“Lilly was so wonderful! She took such great care of Buddy. She sent updates with pictures and a video! ? We would definitely recommend her and will be asking for services for Buddy again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I could drive! My family, friends, and neighbors all trust me with their fur babies! I am currently in school full time for physical therapy at ETSU! I am normally available Mondays after 12:00 Wednesdays between 12-2:30 and after 5:00 Thursdays before 12:00 and after 5:00. I am in town a lot of weekends (when I am not visiting home) and would be available from 12:00 Friday through the whole weekend! I always keep dogs on a leash unless we are in a fenced-in area with other trusted animals. My #1 priority is for the dogs, myself, and everyone around me to be safe and happy!
“They are so great, they care for our boys like their own. They understand their different personalities and cater to them. We were running out of town and forgot a couple things but they were so accommodating. The boys always come back healthy and well care for. We are already booking our next trip out of town and will use them again :)”
“Kaitlyn accepted our request at last minute and was flexible with pickup when our flight got delayed. She kept us updated with message and pictures. Mylles loved his stay there. I will definitely use her service again.”

I love dogs and my own dogs are very accustomed to visiting pets. I have been pet sitting for 20 years and love doing it.
“Kelley was great! She was very responsive in communicating with me, sent me numerous updates and pictures throughout the day. My dog was very well taken care of. Kelley has a great backyard with a high secure fence. She introduced her pups to Chance and they all had a blast. I highly recommend Kelley, could not have asked for more.”

“Hannah is the BEST!!! Highly recommended. I immediately felt like I was dealing with someone who has it together which gave me peace of mind that Moses was in good hands. She was friendly, communicative, and sent photos and updates. At no point was I worried about my sweet pooch. Thank you, Hannah. You’re greatly appreciated.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kingsport
These boarders were the best I’ve ever used. They were very easy to work with and my baby was very comfortable staying with them. Pictures were sent daily and communication was helpful in knowing how my baby was doing. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to my family and friends.

Ber was absolutely amazing with Maggie! Tail wags nonstop and happy vibes all around! Maggie came home healthy, playful, and clearly super well cared for. Everything from cuddle time to walks was handled like a total pro. Can’t wait for Maggie to hang with Ber again next time we’re out of town! Thanks for everything!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
There are 114 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Kingsport. About 92% of Kingsport sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
