“This was our first time using Rover, and I am SO glad we had Emily to watch over our dogs! She went above and beyond and spent extra time with them during the day just for extra cuddles and play time:) It’s been such a huge relief for me to know that my dogs are able to go outside and play while my husband and I are at work, and I would absolutely recommend Emily to anyone!”

“Natalie has been great with taking care of our two golden retrievers for drop in visits. She is always on time and communicates with us on any concerns she has. Phoebe and Winston enjoy having Natalie around!”

“I was so grateful to find Maleny to watch my pets while I was away. They did a fantastic job! I'd definitely recommend their services to anyone in need of a reliable pet sitter.”

“Upon meeting Kelly we knew our girl was in good hands for the week she emits a calm friendly aura with a trusting attitude that we knew Moon would appreciate. This was our first experience with the service and took us a few tries to find someone but who we got was stellar. Kelly leaves informative well documented visits that are detailed with love and care we hope she is available for our future bookings. Thank you so much again we can’t say enough good things.”

“Shawnee is great! Very sweet and responsible. She took great care of my chickens and goats while out of town for a week. I will definitely request her services again!”

“I am so grateful to Mickayla for ensuring my cat, Luna, was well cared for while I was out of town. I loved the photo updates each evening. She contacted me right away when there was a problem. She was professional and courteous. I recommend her highly.”

About: I grew up with a dog, and have always lived with either a dog or cat as an adult. My heart just fills with joy when I am around all four legged friends. I currently work full time as a pediatric medical assistant, but would be happy to come by after work to take care of any sweet dog or cat. Currently do not take care of of animals at my current residence as I am living with family who prefers to be pet free, but I am happy to come to you!

“Kat was fantastic with my cat, forest. She was caring, kind, and communicative. I felt confident the entire time that forest would be well taken care of. I will go back to Kat in the future! Thank you!”

“Javier was great to work with! He stopped by ahead of his booking to make sure he was a good fit with our dogs and he communicated very good with us and put us at ease. We’ll definitely be using him again!”

About: Hello all! My name is Alli and I have owned a dog and cat (and other pets) since I was 5 years old and understand how important and special these furry friends can be to their families. I have worked in the veterinary field for the past 10 years so you can trust your pets in my care and I am more than capable of supplying medications if needed. I live an active lifestyle and love to be in the great outdoors especially with a dog by my side. I currently have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most schedules. I know that each pet has their own personality and quirks and will try my best to accommodate their needs and your needs. I look forward to meeting all of your four legged friends! If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I have a flexible schedule and would love to fill it helping take care of your pets! I know how important it is to keep our pets healthy and sometimes life gets busy. So I’m here to help take things off your plate! I care for pets as I would want someone to care for my own. Every pet is different so I try to learn as much as I can about each one and meet each of their individual needs.
“I’ve worked with Sarah for a while now, she does drop ins to care for my three kitties. She’s been a lifesaver: reliable, thorough, detail oriented and my kitties love her! So grateful to have found her!”

“I met with Kevin for a getting to know you mutual interview and asked him to drop in a few days for visits. He’s super thorough with his questions and got along well with all the animals. His interest in their welfare is definitely clear. Everything was done as asked and really appreciated the reports and photos!”

“Wes did such a great job and was wonderful with our dogs and cats. He took the best pictures of them that I’ve ever seen and shared them throughout the visit. I would recommend Wes to anyone!”

About: I have grown up being surrounded by dogs! My dad always had dogs in our home. I raised my pitbull/lab mixed breed dog Nala from when I was the age of Ten until she passed away when I was 21 years old. She taught me a lot about being a pet owner as well as a person! She was my best friend🤍 I am a very active, responsible, and empathetic person! I enjoy being outdoors going on long walks, hikes, and runs! I’m always down for a furry friend to tag along :) My current work schedule is 6am to 6pm Sunday through Tuesday :) I am available throughout the week on my days off for some pet care! I am respectful of other spaces! I like to stay occupied and am willing to go on adventures with your fur baby! I am full of love to give for animals. My full time job is caregiving so I’m the kind of person to place others needs before my own, but I do prioritize my health so I’m always in tip top shape for whoever/whatever needs my attention!
About: My wife, Connie, a retired nurse, and I have had six dogs over 35 years. We miss them dearly. I have raised dogs from puppyhood through their senior years so I understand the patience, structure and affection that go with it. I am retired from my legal practice of 35 years, and very active. I love long walks and have a nice fenced backyard if pet sitting is needed. Only your dog(s) will be in our care during your booking. Whether your pup needs long walks, gentle companionship or just someone who treats them like family I’m committed to make them feel safe, loved and genuinely cared for. After being self-employed for 35 years I am looking for something to keep me busy and I can’t think of a better way to spend my time and I have a very flexible schedule. In my home I will provide a warm, clean environment, plenty of attention and lots of outdoor activity since I’m active and retired, with plenty of time to give. And again, your pup will also be the only one I care for during his/her stay…

“Ana accepted our request last minute and did a great job with our cats. She went above and beyond and even did an extra checkin with them and watered my plants. She even cleaned up after their mess which we didn’t require at all. I would definitely book Ana again for future visits!”

“Beyond kind to both me and my kitty! Always on time, very attentive, and sent great updates and photos! Took the time to interact and play with my cat and always responded quick! Highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
