About: I absolutely love dogs, cats, and other furry or feathered friends. I grew up with guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. I'm experienced in cage-cleaning, play time, giving medication, walking, and light training. I have pet-sat for many dogs, cats, and smaller friends. I highly respect any rules or training routines you and your fur babies adhere to. As long as I have clear instructions, I will stick to your guidelines. I have friends whose dogs have high-maintenance routines, and I know how damaging it can be when someone else interferes with those routines. I will love your pets like my own, but I will absolutely follow whatever expectations you set. I work and study remotely, which allows me lots of flexibility to become your pets' new bestie! Besides school and work, my daily and weekly commitments are fairly minimal and last 2-4 hours. If your pet needs more constant care, please still reach out, and I'll check if I can move some things around for your proposed pet-sit. I am happy to care for pets in their (your) home. If you need any additional cleaning or home services (plant watering, etc.) during my visit or stay at your home, that can likely be arranged. I also believe in leaving things better than I found them - hopefully you won't even know I was there.

About: I grew up with a dog, and have always lived with either a dog or cat as an adult. My heart just fills with joy when I am around all four legged friends. I currently work full time as a pediatric medical assistant, but would be happy to come by after work to take care of any sweet dog or cat. Currently do not take care of of animals at my current residence as I am living with family who prefers to be pet free, but I am happy to come to you!

About: I am extremely detailed oriented and very observant. I sense when animals need something different and will always tend to their needs first over anything. I can chill with them or play forever and anything in between. I work 5-6 days a week with and average of 6 hours a day. My schedule is pretty set to only working mornings and being off work around 11am to 12:30pm. After that I am free and available! I am more than able to be in your home and you never question that I was there. I leave places cleaner than what I found them and make sure all the boxes were checked that are expected of me.

About: I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember. When I was 9 years old, my Dad got me my first Golden Retriever for Valentine's Day 1998. Her name was Star. I wanted a Golden because I fell in love with Shadow from "Homeward Bound". Star was my best friend, and we trained together in Canine Good Citizenry and agility. She could jump through hula hoops, over my arm, and she knew all sorts of tricks. I also love horses and used to spend summers and spring breaks on my cousin's farm in Apopka, Florida where she was the Barn Manager for a gal who rode in the Irish Olympics for the Equestrian Team. I had my own horse when I was younger, but we sadly had to sell her when my mother passed away when I was 9 years old. I've had dogs and cats off and on my entire life, but sadly, I just recently moved to Oregon and do not have any pets of my own right now for a few reasons: The first is that I'm working diligently to get established in Oregon and currently have a Mon-Thursday schedule with the City of Salem that requires me to be away from home for over 10 hours a day. Second, my roommate has a sick and aging cat who is not doing well, and we do not want to stress him out by adding pets to the house right now. Hopefully, my roommate will be able to reconsider when things change, but for now, Bok Choy (and his comfort) is our main priority at my house. Third, I'm hoping to move my Dad out to Oregon within the next 3 years, but for now, he is living alone as a retiree in Georgia, where I grew up. He is very attached to our dog Hank, and even though I'm definitely Hank's favorite person, I couldn't stand the thought of separating those two because I felt like my Dad needs Hank more than I do as Hank is his reason to get up in the morning! I miss Hank more than words can express, but I think we made the right call because Hank does not like being alone, and Dad can accommodate this as he is retired whereas I am in the main career years. I have previous dog sitting experience, but sadly, my identity was hacked, and I lost all of my photos on my Facebook account and lost many of my contacts through my old email address that I lost access to. I have also done amateur dog training and hope to get a professional certification in dog training within the next 12 months. I am happy to house sit during my work week if you only have cats that need tending after office hours. I won't be accepting house sitting for dogs unless there is an understanding of my work schedule and the dog has access to a doggy door and a yard or puppy pads are used during the day. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who can be with your dog during the business day instead of requesting me if you have dogs and need assistance during my work week (Mon-Thurs). This is a Side Hustle for me, but it also the more meaningful of my jobs because I love animals more than anything else in this world, and being around them is good for my mental health. I currently work Monday-Thursday until 4:30PM so it will be difficult for me to provide overnight dog sitting until Thursday after 5 PM unless your dog has access to a doggy door or puppy pads. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who does this full time if you need assistance during business hours Monday-Thursday. When I am at your house, your pet is my priority. If they need exercise or stimulation, we will make that happen. I will almost feel guilty for getting paid for it because it will literally be my pleasure. I will ask you to leave detailed instructions that will make my life easier and expect you to extend trust to me to do my job well. I understand it is difficult and that trust is earned and not freely given, but we need to have a clear discussion before you leave about what your expectations are so I can decide If I can meet those in a way that will not cause me undue anxiety. If you need someone after 5PM Mon-Thursday or anytime on the weekends, I am your sitter!
About: Know what it's like to own dogs since childhood. Tell me what they love, like, and hate. Love to bring gifts for the dog(s) anytime. Also been a great house sitter and pet sitter for my mother in the past when she visited grandkids for a week in California. As far in advance as possible since I also do crowd management seasonally but haven't worked since April 1st. P.S. A page from the daily calendar for Life Hacks encouraged me to join and I do know someone on Rover.com named Stephen. He's a dog sitter, owner, and trainer. P.P.S. Someone is moving into my condo on or before September 15th. She should have a cat. Therefore, it's best I only do pet and home sitting at the owner's place. About: HI there! I have been an animal lover and dog owner my whole life. I grew up on a farm in rural Oregon with 4 furry four- legged family members! I had a wonderful Rottweiler for 9 years and we enjoyed beautiful hikes, brisk nightly walks and serene moments at the coast. About: I have been caring for all different types and sizes of animals since a very young age. I used to work at a veterinary/daycare/boarding/grooming job and now work as a vet assistant! I have also pet sit for friends, family, even neighbors! I am very confident in caring for multiple pets at a time, feeding, administering medications, training, bathing, even socializing pets! I do also have experience with horses as well as other barn animals. I do have my own horse so I am able to care for livestock as well! I currently work full time as a veterinary assistant but am able to care for pets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Sundays, and Saturdays after 3pm! Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
