“Kevin was amazing with my very anti social cat while I was away and even got her to make friends with him by the end of the week! Will definitely be back next time I need a cat sitter.”

“I can't say enough good things about Lindsay! She cared for my dogs (one is a puppy) on Saturday while we attended a wedding, and her understanding, thoroughness, and genuine love for animals gave me complete peace of mind. I was able to fully enjoy the evening without a single worry about my furry children. Thank you, Lindsay for being amazing! We'll definitely be booking again! :)”

About: We are a dog loving family and have one dog named Link who loves to make new friends. When going out of town, we've struggled to find many places that will treat Link how we would and make him part of the family, this inspired us to provide this for other families and dogs. There will typically be someone home with your pet when they are staying in our home, Haley stays at home with the kids and would let your dog out to play in our large backyard as often as needed. She can also take dogs on walks and keep them comfortable in our home during the day. We will have a crate or dog bed inside available for nighttime sleeping. Our children are taught to be kind and gentle to animals and are so excited to meet new dogs. We have fenced in chickens in the yard. Nathan has been through multiple obedience and agility training courses through the years and has experience with various breeds. We look forward to meeting you. We are at home a lot with the kids and pets. Haley is at home with the kids during the week and Nathan works around the block. We have a fenced, large yard which is very secure for dogs. We have toys and balls to throw for the dogs, they will have lots of play time.
“Natalie has been great with taking care of our two golden retrievers for drop in visits. She is always on time and communicates with us on any concerns she has. Phoebe and Winston enjoy having Natalie around!”

“Nicole did great with our pups! We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs at home knowing she was going to take care of them. Nicole sent great photos after every drop in visit and kept us updated while we were away!”

About: Hi! I'm Shealee, and I've always had a heart for animals. I've been around animals for most of my life, and my love for caring for them eventually led me to work as an Animal Care Attendant at an animal hospital that offered hospital care, daycare, and boarding services. In that role, I cared for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. My responsibilities included preparing meals, taking pets on potty breaks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supervising daycare playgroups, and caring for boarding pets while closely monitoring their health, behavior, and comfort. This experience taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and adaptability are because every pet has unique needs. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and my goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I'll care for them with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I am currently working two part-time jobs, and as I transition out of one of them, my schedule will mainly be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, I am free any time in the morning up until 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. As a prior ACA, your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I maintain clean spaces, follow detailed care instructions, and communicate consistently to ensure peace of mind.
“I had a great experience. Everything went to plan and I got lots of pictures along the way. Dave the cat was clearly very well cared for and perfectly happy and healthy when I got home. Thank you!”

Your dog can play with toys, take a nice long walk in the park or just relax and sleep in the shade. I work full-time remote with a flexible schedule, this gives me time to take care of your furry baby while you are at work, running around, or on vacation. Taking care of your family member, and your best friend(s) is a trusted service and honor. I will follow the rules and routines you have set in place and update you with photos throughout our day.
“Javier is a positive and gentle person to have around my old dog. He has been patient with him and has gone over and above with caring for him while I’m a way I appreciated the time he spent with me to help my dog be more comfortable with him. (My dog had a recent trauma.) I recommend him highly.”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a kid. I have experience with a wide range of dogs. Ranging from small dogs to large such as German Shepards and Great Danes all the way to chihuahuas. I take pride in having the patience in getting to know each animal and their needs. I have a calming caring demeanor and work hard to build trust with each animal. I have a lot of experience walking dogs, feeding, house sitting cats and dogs and am a go to for friends and family. I am currently working part time and would love to fill my schedule caring for your pets! After losing my lab a few years ago, I often seek opportunities to build connections with animals of all sizes and ages. Being an experienced dog sitter, I plan to show you and your pets the upmost respect. I have pet sat and walked a wide variety of dogs in a variety of homes and can insure you that your pet and your home are safe with me.

About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with dogs and cats (and birds and turtles and fish) as a child, and as an adult I have raised my own from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. I am comfortable with puppy potty training, litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten/puppy energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. (I can even do baths with the right set-up, and advanced notice.) I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. In general I love all animals; when asked if I am “a dog person or a cat person,” I say, “yes.” I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family (including fostering for a year, to help a friend of a friend while she finished school) and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. I am finally joining Rover at the recommendation of many friends and family members who think caring for people’s pets is an excellent job for me. I’m new to Rover, but not new to pet care, and if you trust me with your pets’ care you will find they are in very good hands! I am happy to care for your pets in the way that works best for them: coming regularly to take them for walks, scoop litter boxes, and pick up puppy pads, etc., or staying with them in the comfort of their own home if they need more than drop-in attention. If in-home sitting is needed for extended periods, I may need to leave for a few hours at a time, but I can work around your pet’s needs for specific mealtimes, walk/potty times, etc. I love all pets as the individuals they are, and care for them as if they were my own. You can rely on me to follow detailed instructions, keep you updated, and make sure they are as happy and well-cared-for as can be while you are away.

“Ana accepted our request last minute and did a great job with our cats. She went above and beyond and even did an extra checkin with them and watered my plants. She even cleaned up after their mess which we didn’t require at all. I would definitely book Ana again for future visits!”

“Theresa is awesome! And we highly recommend her ! She is both passionate about dogs and professional. -She showed up at the arranged time, brought my dog treats and gifts and always sent pictures of us pictures of him enjoying her visits. Will definitely call her next time we need dog care.”
About: I love dogs and as much as we would like one of our own… we will substitute our love with sitting and loving yours while you’re away!! I've worked 2 years at a pet store when I was younger have hands on experience in pet care from puppies to seniors! I would love to meet your fur babies and when they're with me I'll love them as if they're my own. It’s hard leaving your 4 legged babies but when they’re in my care you’ll never have to worry about them. I have my own business so I’m usually with clients from 10-1, pick up my daughter from school at 230 and will have the evenings at home to walk and play the pups! With weekends off it allows me to be full time loving and playing with them! We have access to great walking trails and dog parks! Must be kid friendly as I have a 2 and 12 year old! I live in a farm house outside of town and there is currently no fenced yard so we will travel into town and take advantage of nature trails or dog parks so your pup gets plenty of exercise, as we are very active ourselves! My daughters LOVE animals so they will get lots of family love!
“Sarah was responsive, thorough and kind! We could not ask for a more responsible pet sitter! She did a great job, and we absolutely plan to re-book for more drop in visits very soon! Thank you, Sarah!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Silverton
I met with Kevin for a getting to know you mutual interview and asked him to drop in a few days for visits. He’s super thorough with his questions and got along well with all the animals. His interest in their welfare is definitely clear. Everything was done as asked and really appreciated the reports and photos!

We cannot even begin to say enough wonderful comments about the loving care Kevin gave our dogs. He is definitely the best drop in sitter we have had in all of our years of traveling. A real gem and a star person! Our dogs are always content when we arrive home now with Kevin so attentive to them. I would strongly recommend Kevin for any type of animal care. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
