About: I've been called a dog whisperer too many times to count! I absolutely love dogs, cats, and other furry or feathered friends. I grew up with guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. I'm experienced in cage-cleaning, play time, giving medication, walking, and light training. I have pet-sat for several dogs, cats, and smaller friends. I highly respect any rules or training routines you and your fur babies adhere to. As long as I have clear instructions, I will stick to your guidelines. I have friends whose dogs have high-maintenance routines, and I know how awful it is when someone else interferes with those routines. I will love your pets like my own, but I will absolutely follow whatever expectations you set. I have flexible availability this summer. I am a student in an accelerated degree program for elementary education. I have July and August off, which allows me lots of time to become your pets' new bestie! I can care for pets in your home. If you are in need of any other cleaning or home services when I visit or stay at your home, that can be arranged. I also believe in leaving things better than I found them. You won't even know I was there!
“Kevin was amazing with my very anti social cat while I was away and even got her to make friends with him by the end of the week! Will definitely be back next time I need a cat sitter.”

About: We are a dog loving family and have one dog named Link who loves to make new friends. When going out of town, we've struggled to find many places that will treat Link how we would and make him part of the family, this inspired us to provide this for other families and dogs. There will typically be someone home with your pet when they are staying in our home, Haley stays at home with the kids and would let your dog out to play in our large backyard as often as needed. She can also take dogs on walks and keep them comfortable in our home during the day. We will have a crate or dog bed inside available for nighttime sleeping. Our children are taught to be kind and gentle to animals and are so excited to meet new dogs. We have fenced in chickens in the yard. Nathan has been through multiple obedience and agility training courses through the years and has experience with various breeds. We look forward to meeting you. We are at home a lot with the kids and pets. Haley is at home with the kids during the week and Nathan works around the block. We have a fenced, large yard which is very secure for dogs. We have toys and balls to throw for the dogs, they will have lots of play time.
“Natalie has been great with taking care of our two golden retrievers for drop in visits. She is always on time and communicates with us on any concerns she has. Phoebe and Winston enjoy having Natalie around!”

“Malie was amazing with our siberian husky! She was great with communication and reached out with each drop in. Our husky has a lot of personality, and several medications. Malie made it simple, and took great care of her! Malie was great at respecting Koda's cues, playing when she wanted to play, but also giving Koda space when she wanted it. We will be booking again with Malie very soon.”

“Kayla was amazing with Milo! She communicated very well about her visits and sent pics of their interactions! I would totally allow Kayla to dog sit or do drop ins again if needed. Highly recommend!!”

“I was very pleased with Lindsay's care for my pups during her drop in visit. I am hesitant to trust anyone with my fur babies, but she gave me a good feeling right away during our meet and greet. She was gentle and calm. She showed up on time and sent some pics which helped me feel safe. I will be reaching out to Lindsay again!”

About: Hi! I'm Shealee, and I've always had a heart for animals. I've been around animals for most of my life, and my love for caring for them eventually led me to work as an Animal Care Attendant at an animal hospital that offered hospital care, daycare, and boarding services. In that role, I cared for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. My responsibilities included preparing meals, taking pets on potty breaks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supervising daycare playgroups, and caring for boarding pets while closely monitoring their health, behavior, and comfort. This experience taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and adaptability are because every pet has unique needs. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and my goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I'll care for them with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I am currently working two part-time jobs, and as I transition out of one of them, my schedule will mainly be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, I am free any time in the morning up until 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. As a prior ACA, your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I maintain clean spaces, follow detailed care instructions, and communicate consistently to ensure peace of mind.
“Nicole did great with our pups! We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs at home knowing she was going to take care of them. Nicole sent great photos after every drop in visit and kept us updated while we were away!”

I know that each pet has their own personality and quirks and will try my best to accommodate their needs and your needs. I look forward to meeting all of your four legged friends! If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I have a flexible schedule and would love to fill it helping take care of your pets! I know how important it is to keep our pets healthy and sometimes life gets busy. So I’m here to help take things off your plate! I care for pets as I would want someone to care for my own. Every pet is different so I try to learn as much as I can about each one and meet each of their individual needs.
About: Happy, trustworthy, and enthusiastic with your puppy, teenager, or elderly dog. This is an honor to care for your family member. I am flexible with schedules to ensure that your dog is taken care of the way you would. The rules that you have in place, are very important. Walks, fun, playtime with a ton of love and rubs. Your dog can play with toys, take a nice long walk in the park or just relax and sleep in the shade. I work full-time remote with a flexible schedule, this gives me time to take care of your furry baby while you are at work, running around, or on vacation. Taking care of your family member, and your best friend(s) is a trusted service and honor. I will follow the rules and routines you have set in place and update you with photos throughout our day.

I met with Kevin for a getting to know you mutual interview and asked him to drop in a few days for visits. He’s super thorough with his questions and got along well with all the animals. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
