“We left our Goldendoodle with Jill for just under 4 weeks while traveling overseas and the experience was exceptional. From the initial meet and greet to the stay, our boy was in his element. Jill provided us with images and constant updates the entire time which put us at peace as we could see how much fun he was having on their walks and with the other pups. In the past, we'd used a kennel for extended stays, but we couldn't bare the thought of our guy not sleeping inside with a family over the holidays. Jill treated our dog as one of her own, kept us informed with updates and images, and made our boy feel at home. We were starting to worry he wouldn't want to leave! When going out of town, we've struggled to find many places that will treat Link how we would and make him part of the family, this inspired us to provide this for other families and dogs. There will typically be someone home with your pet when they are staying in our home, Haley stays at home with the kids and would let your dog out to play in our large backyard as often as needed. She can also take dogs on walks and keep them comfortable in our home during the day. We will have a crate or dog bed inside available for nighttime sleeping. About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with cats and their kittens as a child, and have always bonded closely with them. I adopted My Own Cat promptly upon turning 18 (in 2002); Khaki was with me for 18 years, outliving his adopted brother Leo (my sister’s cat), who ended up living with me as well. I’ve also cared for my exes cat (Alli), and my son’s first cat (Lady Grey), and my current grand cats, Cas and Zizi. I am comfortable with litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. About: I grew up with dogs in the home my entire life. We currently have a 10 year old rescue hound who was not potty trained, could not walk on a leash, would not eat when we first adopted him. Now he is a well trained dog and loves being around other dogs! We’ve had many friends’ dogs stay in the home with us for short and long periods of time and are well equipped to look after any dog! I am currently at stay at home mom with my daughter and am available for dog walks most afternoons during the week. I can be very flexible during the afternoon to walk a dog for as long as needed. About: I was a veterinary technician for 10 years. I have worked with every kind of animal out there at every stage of life. I switched career fields, but I’m still a animal lover who misses working with dogs. I’m currently working full time Monday-Fridays. I have hour lunches so depending on location I could do a potty break or short walk during that slot. I also get off at a decent time in the evening and have weekends completely free. Unfortunately I would not be able to do pet sitting, or walks at my home due to my dogs behavior. But I am more than willing to drive to the fur babies home to take them potty near by or if okayed, to take them on a walk on a nearby trail. I have plenty of experience with animals and have a trusted understanding of dog behaviors.

About: Hi! I’m River. I was raised with dogs and cats (and birds and turtles and fish) as a child, and as an adult I have raised my own from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. I am comfortable with puppy potty training, litter box training, cleaning messes, handling kitten/puppy energy, etc. I can do light grooming (brushing fur, cleaning with wipes, applying powders, etc) and give medications. (I can even do baths with the right set-up, and advanced notice.) I typically like to do a little light housekeeping anywhere I stay; I live by the motto of “leave it better than you found it.” I also have a wide range of experience and am comfortable caring for various other pets that might need tending while you’re out. In general I love all animals; when asked if I am “a dog person or a cat person,” I say, “yes.” I have done lots of pet-sitting for friends and family (including fostering for a year, to help a friend of a friend while she finished school) and I love meeting and getting to know new animal friends. I am finally joining Rover at the recommendation of many friends and family members who think caring for people’s pets is an excellent job for me. I’m new to Rover, but not new to pet care, and if you trust me with your pets’ care you will find they are in very good hands! I am happy to care for your pets in the way that works best for them: coming regularly to take them for walks, scoop litter boxes, and pick up puppy pads, etc., or staying with them in the comfort of their own home if they need more than drop-in attention. If in-home sitting is needed for extended periods, I may need to leave for a few hours at a time, but I can work around your pet’s needs for specific mealtimes, walk/potty times, etc. I love all pets as the individuals they are, and care for them as if they were my own. You can rely on me to follow detailed instructions, keep you updated, and make sure they are as happy and well-cared-for as can be while you are away.
About: I’ve pet sat for over 10 years for friends & family. I’d love to care for yours. I have two tabby’s who are well trained and have been around dogs in the past. My pup unfortunately passed away last summer and I’m not ready to get on full time but would love to care for yours as I cared for her and give them the best experience while you’re away.
