“Isaac was very prompt, communicative, kind & patient when watching our dog Riley. This was our first time using Rover, and Isaac asked & answered so many questions. Our dog is very fearful of other people, and Isaac did what he could with such kindness & grace to respect that fear without making it worse. I highly recommend Isaac to anyone looking for a very present & communicative pet sitter!”

“Kathryn is so wonderful at this. She is so good with our dog and communicates so well with us. This is our second time booking with her and she makes the whole process so quick and easy with us, without missing any details. She is very attentive and responsive.”

About: Hello! I’m Sophia, and I am currently a student at Concordia College studying Voice Performance and German! Outside of music I have a passion for plants and pets! Over the years I have taken care of the animals of my community as well as some of my own. Species include cats, dogs, birds, fish, guinea pigs, gerbils, domesticated rats, and even small children 😂. Additionally I am a seasoned houseplant parent with employment experience at a local garden center. On top of pet care I am happy to water, fertilize, diagnose, and pest treat your plants for a flexible fee! As a pet/plant sitter I am reliable, organized, punctual, communicative and adaptable. Together let’s keep your flora and fauna happy and healthy! As a student and part-time garden center employee my schedule varies quite a bit. Generally my Tuesday and Thursday mornings are free as well as weekends. I’m a great communicator and happy to find a time that works for you! I do not offer boarding for cats and dogs, but for small animals such as birds and rodents they have a home away from home with me! I live in a house with plenty of space for a habitat and can adjust lighting, temperature and ambient volume to your pet’s needs!

“Elle gave us such peace of mind by providing feeding visits for our shy kitty, Layla. We had assured Elle that she would not see our kitty but she stayed around quietly and was finally able to lay eyes on her. We were so pleased with Elle’s care.”

“Maria has helped out with looking in on our dog Toast multiple times and he gets so excited to see her each time! She is responsive and professional. We will definitely book with her again in the future!”

“Lauren is great! She’s been my go to for my dogs since I moved to Dilworth. She honors her commitments, treats my pups as her own and always sends the cutest photos to me while I’m not home. Thank you, Lauren! Me and my kiddos appreciate you!”

“Tennille was great with my 2 kitties and she updated me with pictures throughout her drop in visits. My kitten was easily comfortable with her. Will definitely recommend her!”

“We have been so impressed by Jennifer! Our three cats all have their own quirks and Jennifer has been so good with all of them. We would definitely book with her again and will suggest her when friends ask who they should have!”

“Alyssa and Zachary have been my sitters for about a year now. They have loved my kitty like their own. Unfortunately I am moving out of the area so I won’t be able to use them anymore. I truly do not know how I am going to replace them- they are the only sitters I have ever trusted to take care of Delilah. You will feel comfortable leaving your pets in their care and can trust that they are in the best hands!”

About: I grew up on a small ranch in Texas surrounded by all kinds of animals, from dogs & cats to horses & cattle. Over the past few years, my family has bred and raised several litters of golden retriever puppies. This gave me even more experience with raising & training dogs, and led to the adoption of my own dog Sam. I also have experience babysitting dogs for friends and family! I'm currently a stay-at-home wife, so I have a lot of flexibility during the week. Pet care is ideal as it allows me to work around my husbands work & class schedule, while caring for our own dog & home. I will offer consistent, kind care to your dog or cat! I love going on walks with my own dog, playing fetch, and offering lots of cuddles. I am happy to interact with your animal according to your personal comfort level, knowning that some dogs & cats may prefer more alone time than others. I will respect your animal's personal space & interact with them as a fun, dependable friend.
“Taylor was wonderful with my pup! She was so patient, taking the time to make sure my dog felt comfortable during the walk. I really appreciate the care and attention she showed, highly recommend her!”

“Patty was great while checking in on my two cats! She sent me photos from each visit and sent a note each time she came over! I will be using her next time I need a sitter!”

About: Three years as a veterinary assistant and a current pre vet student has prepared me to provide attentive, trustworthy, loving care for every pet I’m entrusted with. I’m currently working full time but will be switching to part time come end of August. I’m available for boarding after 5 pm all week and all day throughout the weekend! I live in a small house close to NDSU and love going on walks (especially with your pet)! I provide a safe, clean, stress free environment by following routines, securing hazards, monitoring pets closely, and treating every home with respect and care. I am comfortable administering any medications your pet is on and do not mind allowing pets on furniture but will follow your rules if you do not:)
About: I am an experienced pet care taker. I had a dog of my own for 7 years before she passed away of a heart condition. I now have the best Rottie in the earth. Before that my family had dogs and cats growing up. I also consistently foster animals through one of the organizations in town. All dogs on my profile are dogs I either owned, fostered, or babysat. I love to spend as much time with the dogs I am sitting! If it’s the weekend only this is easy to do - If your dog would like a friend my Rottie would like to come with! If not no worries at all! For weekdays: I work from home and can make moving to your home work but will need a desk space or active table space with the ability to plug in - and preferably the ability to bring my 4 year old friendly Rottie with me. If I am unable to bring her what I have done in the past is work from my home and then spend the evening/night with your dog. I always make a lunch break work for this plan. This often mimics similar to a 8-5 schedule. We can definitely discuss details on this! She is part of a team that helps a rescue in town dog test new dogs on their reaction to others! I look forward to hearing from you.- I try to be flexible as possible for your dogs needs. If these schedules don’t work for you - please still reach out if you want to discuss options! I am comfortable continuing what you have done with your dog in your home. Normal walks? You got it. Fenced yard and fetch? Terrific. I love to keep dogs into the regular routine as it’s already stressful for their human to be gone. I do request if you have scent plugs in your home that they are unplugged during any extended stay you schedule with me - thanks!

About: I have grown up around animals and have always adored how wonderful companions they are. I grew up taking care of family members dogs when they went on vacations, which gave me early experience with feeding, walking, and general care. I also have some experience with cats from having one when I was younger and helping care for a few friends and family members cats over the years. I am comfortable helping with basic cat care such as feeding, litter box cleaning, and spending time with them. I have my own dog, Hadley, an 8 year old golden retriever. She is very spunky, sometimes a troublemaker, but very sweet. She loves walks and I have walked her for years and really enjoy doing so. Caring for her has helped me build strong experience with daily routines and understanding a dog’s needs. Within the past year, I started working at a shelter where I take care of dogs, including some with aggression and fear issues due to neglect and other reasons. I feed them, walk them, clean up after them, play with them, and give them love and attention while they wait to be adopted. That experience has taught me how to be around different types of dogs, adapt to their needs, and make sure our furry friends are always loved and cared for. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and patient when caring for animals. I always treat pets as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I look forward to the opportunity to help take care of your pets and give them the attention and care they deserve. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows pet care to fit easily into my daily and weekly routine. I am available most weekdays, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, depending on my class schedule. I am also available on weekends and am happy to take on weekend bookings with advance notice. I am reliable with time management and make sure to plan ahead around my classes and other commitments so I can consistently show up on time and give each pet the attention and care they need. Overall, my flexible college schedule allows me to be dependable and available for pet care while still balancing my school and other responsibilities. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and normal routine. I make sure to follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, and any specific care needs for each pet. For home sitting, I focus on keeping pets calm and comfortable in their own environment, making sure they get consistent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. For drop-in visits, I make sure all essential needs are met, including feeding, bathroom breaks, cleaning up if needed, and spending time with the pet so they feel cared for and not alone. For dog walking, I make sure walks are safe, controlled, and appropriate for each dog’s energy level and behavior. I also pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level, especially with animals that may be shy, anxious, or require extra patience. I have experience working with different types of dogs from my time at a shelter, which has helped me stay calm, observant, and adaptable. In addition, I respect the client’s home by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My goal is always to provide reliable care so pets feel safe and owners feel confident and at ease.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Moorhead
This was my first time with Rover and I was very satisfied. I selected Crystal based on her reviews particularly those that mention she had away with cats who were timid. This is my first time leaving my cat with anyone and everything went great. I could tell from my meet and greet with Crystal that she really cared about animals. It became pretty obvious pretty quickly that my kitty really enjoyed being with her! I absolutely will use her again now that she and my cat are pals!

Taylor was fantastic—this was my first time using Rover and my request was fairly short notice, I was a bit apprehensive but in a bind. She made the entire experience seamless and put me at ease! She was responsive, communicative, and took the time to answer all my questions. She handled everything flawlessly, from administering medication to feeding everyone and keeping my fur babies entertained. I threw a lot of information at her and she nailed it! I highly recommend her and would absolutely book with her again.

Abigail and my little Loey have a special relationship that I can see from the wonderful photos Abigail sends me. I can tell Lo is a happy kitty when Abigail is with her! It makes me happy to know that Lo is being taken care of with love while I’m gone. She’s the best!

Tennille provided excellent care for our Senior cat. She spent extra time with him and made sure he got some play time in. I also asked for plenty of photos and she sent us a ton! It was really reassuring to have a whole sequence of photos showing him get settled into his spot on the couch then falling asleep. You could tell he was happy! Thank you very much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
