“Kathryn is wonderful! She truly cares for my cats as if they were her own. She is very trustworthy. She let's me know if she is running behind. She sends pictures with an update after each visit. This last visit she noticed that Pookie's paw was swollen and was able to take him to the vet for me. I so appreciate her.”

“Amazing sitter. My cat is very needy and often emotional when I'm gone. He seemed to be in good spirits when I came home, which is really impressive for him only meeting her once. He's pretty big on vibes and clearly likes Vanessa and felt comfortable with her. I highly recommend her for cat sitting and will definitely be rebooking :3”

About: Reliable Walks and Attentive Care for Your Dog I provide structured walks and dependable, patient care tailored completely to your dog’s natural pace, routine, and energy level. Whether your dog needs an active neighborhood workout or a gentle, slow-paced potty break, I focus entirely on keeping them safe and happy. • Structured Neighborhood Walks: I keep dogs securely leashed, alert, and focused during walks, ensuring they get the proper exercise and fresh air they need while strictly following your preferred routes and handling rules. • Patience with All Energies: I am equally comfortable handling high-energy dogs that love to stay moving and older, senior dogs that require a slower, gentler pace with zero rushing. • Consistent Routine Enforcement: I follow your exact feeding instructions, gate protocols, and behavioral boundaries down to the letter so your dog's daily structure remains perfectly intact while you are away. Whether you need a reliable daily dog walker or a trusted sitter for drop-in visits, I provide the focused attention and dependable care your dog deserves. I am currently providing pet care full-time, which means I have completely open availability and a highly flexible schedule. Because I don't have traditional office hours or commuting conflicts, your pets will be my primary focus throughout the day, ensuring their exact feeding, walking, and medication routines are never rushed. Caring in My Home (Boarding) • Active and Supervised Yard Time: While my yard is not fenced, I have a small yard setup that allows for secure tie-out lines under my constant, direct supervision. I never leave animals outside unattended. • Excellent Local Mobility: I have a reliable car equipped for safe pet transportation, allowing me to easily take your dog to the best local dog parks in the area for structured socialization and play. • Highly Walkable Neighborhood: I live in a very quiet, walkable neighborhood that is perfect for long, scenic on-leash walks. Your dog will get plenty of outdoor exercise and mental stimulation right outside my door. • Secure Indoor Structure: My home environment is kept secure, quiet, and highly organized to ensure that guest animals—whether dogs, cats, or reptiles—have their own designated, stress-free spaces to relax. Caring in Your Home (House Sitting & Drop-In Visits) • Strict Routine Adherence: I follow your exact household instructions, locking procedures, and gate setups down to the letter to ensure your home remains safe and secure while you are away. • Objective Daily Updates: I send quick, factual text updates and photos after every visit so you know exactly when your pet was fed, walked, or given their specific medication. • Absolute Respect for Your Space: I maintain clean professional boundaries, leaving your home exactly how I found it and focusing 100% of my time on keeping your pets comfortable, safe, and happy in their familiar surroundings.

About: I’ve been an owner to Australian shepherds and Border Collies for over 15 years. I take my current dog running almost every day and for a couple walks each day. I’ve also had cats my entire life, with varying personalities 🙂. I can be a cuddly companion or keep my distance. I’ve always loved animals and am very patient. I’m a college professor looking for a side gig that involves something I already love doing! My schedule is very flexible and I have holidays and summers off. I just joined Rover so I don’t have much pet sitting experience, but I promise you won’t be disappointed. I have summers off, a month off over the holidays, and all holidays off. During these times I’m always available. During the school year I work from home on Tuesday and Thursday and have lots of availability. I work out of town on M,W,F during the school year and am unavailable from 8am-4pm on MWF. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I’m in my 40s, have an advanced degree, a good job, 2 awesome kids, and 3 awesome pets! I’ve had a lot of life experiences and am good at dealing with all situations. I love animals and their care and well-being is my top priority.

“Annika and Nathan C were incredible. I was an idiot and booked a hotel that didn’t allow pets during a cross country move from the state of Mississippi. These two answered my last minute request, were instantly comfortable with my high energy cats, and saved me from a ton of stress. They sent pictures throughout the stay and even hand delivered them to me the next morning. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.”

About: Currently a registered nurse. Worked in a vet clinic and went to vet tech school. Has worked with many different dog breeds and temperaments. Has worked with reactive dogs. I work full time in Jamestown so I would be able to assist with Jamestown pets during the week. Then I’m home on weekends so I could board during weekends. I have a fenced yard. I have three cats but if your dog is not cat friendly I would keep the dog in a separate room where they would still receive lots of attention.

About: I've looked after dogs and cats for around 15 years, very comfortable with both. Getting to know a pet and learning their personality and preferences is important to me, I want us both to have a good time! I'm currently work part-time and I'm a student, taking most of my classes online so I can be flexible! Mondays and Wednesdays I'm pretty busy in the morning, but I'm usually free by 2-3pm. I have two cats that are very well-socialized with other cats and small to medium sized dogs. Sometimes I put up a gate and allow the cats to sun themselves on the deck, which they love! In other people's homes, I make sure to tread lightly and let the pets take the lead on getting comfortable with me being in their space.

FAQs for Cat Sitting - Pinkham

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
