I’m currently working Monday-Thursday in a flexible position, so while weekends are my forte, I would certainly be able to check on your pets a few times during the weekday if that’s needed.

I prefer to stick to the routine and care level that your pet is used to- I feed them the same amount at the same times as their owners, and try to stick to a similar schedule of playing and walking (although, if allowed, I’m always open to a bit more play or snuggle time!)

I’d love to get to know your dog’s favorite activities, energy level, and comfort level with new people/touch before meeting them. I’d also like to know what their trigger words are (for example, “treat” “walk” “food”) ahead of time, and whether it’s a positive or negative trigger. Please also mention any allergies, medical conditions, or other types of warnings that I should be aware of before meeting your pup.
A typical day
I’d love to take your dog exploring the neighborhood and play fetch, tug of war, and chase if they’re the kind of pup that likes that. I always make sure to give a dog the option to come cuddle if they’d like, and have learned how to teach some basic tricks that help keep their minds active.

I’ve had a dog since I was 8 years old, and since then have taken care of or dogsat dogs ranging in age from brand new puppy to senior dogs 12 years +. I often pet sit for family friends and they always ask me to come back. I make sure to look for and meet the needs of every pet that I’ve taken care of, with massages, exercise, and most recently helping my mom train her now 1 year old puppy through potty training and up.
