About: I’m a dedicated pet owner with hands-on experience caring for a husky, a Shepsky (German Shepherd/husky mix), and a cat. I understand the energy, intelligence, and attention these breeds need, from long walks and playtime to structure and consistency. I’m comfortable managing high-energy dogs, handling different personalities, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule to accommodate pet care throughout the day. I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular walks, feeding, and check-ins, and can easily adjust my routine to meet your pet’s specific needs. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I give my own. I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. On walks, I prioritize safety by staying aware of surroundings and keeping dogs secure at all times. I also make sure your home stays clean, secure, and just the way you left it.
“We had a great experience with Mya! She was fantastic with our pups, Juju and Roxy- they absolutely loved her. Mya was reliable, communicative, and always kept us updated if there needed to be any changes to the schedule. I even checked our Ring camera and saw how happy and excited they were when they left and came back from their walks- it gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. Highly recommend!”

About: An animal lover all my life, I am currently mom to a 6 year old German Shepherd Dog (spayed female), 2 year old kitty (neutered male), and 8 year old hooman child. I've grown up with cats and dogs (and birds, and turtles, and guinea pigs, and fish) and am experienced in handling all breeds and giving medications and supplements. I have watched dogs in my home and grew up pet sitting for neighbors, but can also do drop-ins or provide walks as needed! I work from home and am here most of the day. Fully fenced yard. I work from home full time, and have a fairly flexible schedule to accommodate your pet's needs, whether morning, mid-day, or later on. I treat your fur baby as though it were my own! Snuggles and play time will be amply given. If you have special routines, I am happy to do those, as well.
About: I have always loved dogs. They are the very best of us. My last two dogs lived to 17 years old so I'm very familiar with the needs of elderly dogs and my current dog (4 years old) we got as a puppy. Anything you need I can handle with love and confidence. Happy to send updates and pictures. Our pets are family. I'm a local photographer so I get to set my own schedule. I can mold it to your pet's needs. I'm active and wake up early. I have laminate floors and a completely fenced in large back yard. I understand every animal is different and since I work from home, we do not have a pet door so even indoor pets are safe. In your home I'm happy to follow your rules and respect boundaries. Happy to send pictures and updates!
“Michael is punctual, a great communicator, and it’s obvious he loves animals. Meeko took to him right away and looked forward to his walks. He would fall asleep before Michael could pull away in his car! I HIGHLY recommend Michael and will definitely reach again should the need arise.”

“Lisa has been absolutely fantastic with Oliver! She’s reliable, punctual, and clearly loves what she does. Oliver always comes back happy and relaxed after his walks. I appreciate the detailed updates and photos after each visit. Highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker.”

“Rebecca was very good with our very shy and stubborn Alusky. She was communicative and gave me a play-by-play scenario as she tried to get Laika to leave the house for a walk. I highly recommend Rebecca. She has previous experience with large breed dogs and it helped with our situation. We will have you back Rebecca!”

“All year, twice per week, Hope has been a reliable caretaker for my dog. She’s consistent and communicative, and my dog loves her! I highly recommend her services. Thank you Hope!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have cared for pets since I was a child. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. As a retired pet sitter with a flexible schedule, I can give your pets the time, attention, companionship, and frequent potty breaks they deserve throughout the day. I’m experienced caring for pets of all ages, including senior dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I also have experience caring for cats, alpacas, goats, chickens, and cows, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals and their unique needs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I share my home with my sweet senior Beagle, who is very laid-back, gentle, and gets along well with other animals. His calm personality helps visiting pets feel welcome and at ease. While my yard is not fenced, I live in a wonderful, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for safe leash walks, sniff adventures, or stroller rides for senior pets who still enjoy getting outside. For added peace of mind, a veterinary clinic is conveniently located right at the bottom of my street should an emergency ever arise. I will care for your pets as if they were my own, providing them with plenty of love, patience, and individualized attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, dependable hands. As a retiree, I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care any day of the week, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and last-minute bookings when available. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of love. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, and I’m happy to work around their schedule to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. “For everyone’s safety, I only allow dogs outdoors while securely leashed unless otherwise instructed by the owner.” As a previous owner of two small Yorkies, who sadly passed away from old age, I know how important it is for them to continuously be watched due to predators etc. I will always be very cautious with your prize possessions. I occasionally have my 7 year old grandson in my home, but he is great with animals. He’s only at my place a couple times a week.

About: I’m an experienced, dependable dog lover with two active, playful dogs of my own, and I have previous house-sitting experience caring for other people’s dogs. I enjoy providing dogs of all sizes with engaging playtime, regular walks, and attentive care. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, including helping reinforce basic training and routines. I’m confident handling both large and small breeds, and I prioritize safety, consistency, and each dog’s individual needs. I understand the importance of keeping a reliable schedule for meals, walks, playtime, medications, and other care instructions. I can also provide baths when needed. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. As a college student, I will need to attend classes during the academic year; however, I am on summer break until late September and have broad availability during that time. Once the school year begins, I will be in class on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Outside of those hours, I can provide reliable and attentive care for your pet. I prioritize every pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I will keep unsafe or non-pet-friendly items securely out of reach and follow your preferences for collars, harnesses, leashes, and outdoor safety. For walks, car rides, and any time spent outside the home, I will make sure your pet is properly secured. I will maintain their regular feeding and potty schedule, provide frequent outdoor breaks, and keep them engaged with activities they enjoy, such as fetch, tug-of-war, or other favorite games. Most importantly, I will provide plenty of companionship, attention, and affection so your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you are away.
About: Hi there, my name is Chrissy, and I'd be thrilled to take care of your pets! I started working with Rover in 2018 to motivate myself to get out of the house on dog walks and have expanded my services over time to offer house sitting as well. I pride myself on being an excellent sitter and a thorough communicator. I promise to treat your pets just like my own. I grew up around dogs, cats, lizards, and snakes. I currently have one dog, a giant Newfy named Kaiju. I'm comfortable helping out pets that are older, those with special needs, or those that require medication, so don't be afraid to reach out if your pet has unique circumstances. (I've also found that I am quite good with dogs that are skittish or unable to be around other dogs. If that sounds like your pup, don't hesitate to contact me. I know it takes a while for some pets to adjust. I'm willing to sit and work with them.) I love to make homemade dog treats for all my friend's furry companions and would love to spoil your dog with them as well (barring any health/allergy concerns, and always with your permission, of course!). I also have an intense love for cats. I lost my kitty last year unfortunately, but we had a lovely 19 years together. If your feline friend needs a sitter to check on them, I'd be happy for the opportunity. I have an Instagram on which I post pictures of the pets I walk or watch. If your pet has their own profile and you'd like me to tag them, please let me know. I try to ask before I post pictures, and never include any identifying information like addresses or family photos in the posts. My Instagram handle is chrissylovesdoggos. I'm available for both house sitting and drop-ins, and I do dog walking as well. I currently don't advertise for boarding at my house, but I do have a fenced in front and back yard and plenty of space in the house for a dog. I'd be willing to potentially host dogs that are comfortable around my giant Newfy, as well as older children. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need this service and think your dog would be a good fit. I am currently working a full time job in a veterinary clinic. My weekday services are limited due to the long hours I work. I try to update my calendar regularly, but you’re more than welcome to message me about a date even if it says I’m unavailable. Sometimes I can make it work! I will try my best to accommodate your schedule and needs, but bookings do fill up fast. I take clients on a first come first served basis, so the sooner you let me know about your plans, the better! My biggest priority is keeping your pet happy and safe, and to leave your home looking the same or better than when I arrived. I have an eye for detail and will make sure I thoroughly understand any safety concerns you may have during my stay with your pet.

“I love Nicole! She walked my dogs Bruce and Jack for a year and we were so sad she could not come with us when we moved to West Seattle. I would recommend her to any of my friends!”

“Emily has done a few walks in the afternoons for our two pugs Earl and Opal. She is always on time and writes the best report cards after their walks, including pictures. She is very flexible and did not hesitate when we asked for some special treatment with our senior pug. She really seems to have a heart for dogs and we have been very happy with her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Monroe
I broke my leg and needed surgery last month, and Hannah helped walk my 80 pound, stubborn Cane Corso twice a week. She was incredibly patient, kind, and punctual. One of the only people to approach my house that my dog did not growl at, so that has to speak to something about her. So grateful to have her in the area when I was in a bind.

cassandra is an awesome, punctual, and reliable dog walker who really showed up after i broke my leg and needed some help. some people can be a little off-put by large breed dogs, but she was completely undaunted. i am accident prone & will probably need help again in the future, so i feel so lucky to have her in the area. ✌️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
