I left feeling totally comfortable with them staying with Christel and her family for a long weekend. My dogs are big Great Pyrenees and Christel took them for walks and handled everything. She even set-up and took-down the huge sleeping crates we brought. During the trip Christel sent so many pictures and updates. My dogs were always smiling and playing and I could tell she loved having them. It felt like my doggies were at a sleep-away camp, they had so much fun! As he is newly adopted, a puppy (at 7 mos), was abused in his very early puppyhood, and suffers some ongoing anxiety, to say I was nervous about how he was going to do was an understatement. Upon meeting Rachel at the meet & greet, I was instantly at ease. She has a calm and soothing demeanor, and was such a perfect fit for him, that I could not believe our luck. It felt like the universe conspired to make sure SHE would be his first sitter, so he can continue to learn that the world has many kind and loving people in it. Rachel was a proactive communicator, sharing pictures and updates, sometimes almost at the exact moment I found myself thinking, "I wonder what they're up to?" I was able to relax and put my focus where it needed to be: with my extended family for my mom's memorial service. About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats alike since I was eleven years old. While cats and dogs are my favorites to take care of, I also have experience caring for rodents, reptiles, and amphibians. Right now I am a college student doing school from home, so I always have time to pop in and take care of animals however best it fits their schedules. About: Experience: I've got over 1000 hours of hands on dog training and handling experience, and I absolutely love anything with four legs (even the hairless ones)! I've been a dog trainer for around 5 years, plus have around 100 hours of additional education. I am very well practiced in positive reinforcement training (meaning I never use punishment) and rewarding good behavior. As well as a dog trainer, I've also spent time as a dog bather. One of my favorite parts about training is earning the trust of the animal and seeing them become more comfortable around me and just existing in the world. Pets mental and physical health: I loooove being able to provide enrichment for pets! Enrichment is basically letting your pet interact with the world around them by encouraging them to use their senses, and practice behavior that is innate to them (think running, sniffing, chasing, etc). This not only helps get out their energy, but helps mentally tire them out. Over all it creates a more satisfied pet! This is one of my favorite parts about pet care because it allows you to really get to know the animal and understand them on a deeper level. I've owned 4 guinea pigs over the years, and am very familiar with their illnesses, health issues, and care. I am comfortable providing some medical care for them, like syringe feedings/medications. If your piggy needs different kinds of medical attention, please let me know when we initially talk. I am more than happy to learn about caring for other exotics (seriously, I learn about animal husbandry for fun). A note: while I am not super familiar with reptiles, I am more than happy to learn to about their care. Daycare and Boarding: Because I practice responsible pet care, I limit my boarding and daycare to one pet family (example: if you have two dogs, I'm only watching those two dogs, and other no dogs from outside your household). This allows me not only the ability to prevent things like potential fights between dogs who don't know each other, but also allows me the ability to give your pups more care and attention. This also explains why my prices may be a bit higher than other sitters. I'm so happy to get to meet you and your pet! I'm currently pet free (my last two pets passed away recently), so my entire day will center around your pets. I love walking dogs and caring for animals! I love spending time with animals. One of my favorite parts of training is working with the animal to get to know them and their needs, and fulfilling them with management and enrichment. I love helping animals exercise those brain muscles that they may not otherwise be able to!

About: I can walk, play and take care of your dog while you are away. I am very patient, caring, and active grandpa. I have a young golden retriever who is very very active. I love being outdoors and take long walks. I can do drop-in visits or stay overnight when necessary. I am also good with cats or other animals. I will follow instructions and make sure your pet and you will be happy. I am available pretty much all the time. A day notice would be good however I can be available on a shorter notice as well. I can watch your dog in your house if you allow that or crate a dog if needed. Will follow the feeding schedule and make sure to keep fresh water available. Will also follow the potty breaks as instructed. I can stop by several times a day if needed depending on the distance. if your dog need emotional care, I would be happy to be present to keep him/her comfortable. I am very flexible as well.
About: My husband, Len, and I had dogs for most of our married life of over 45 years; 1 Siberian Husky, 3 beagles, and 3 English bulldogs. We are retired and have time to spend caring for your fur babies. We moved to Monroe two years ago to be near one of our children. We now have the time to spend caring for your pets. We have not adopted a dog because we have had to travel back to our home town for extended periods due to medical issues of family members. We are now able to offer assist to pet owners with their needs. We have a fenced yard where they can explore freely. We also are near a large park and lake, where there are walking paths where both people and dogs enjoy walking around. A one story house where dogs, who are older, don’t have stairs to climb. Your dog is welcome to sit with us on the sofa, and sleep comfortably. We can also crate during the night. We will accommodate your schedule with your dog at your home also.
About: I have dealt with pets my whole life. From having many cats growing up, to now having a dog. I understand how to approach new animals and understand the a willingness to go slow and allow the animal to make a move I'd often the best way to ensure they feel safe. About: I am a teacher looking to stay busy this summer. I have a dog and 2 cats. I grew up with pets my whole life. I plan on doing this over my summer break. I will have a lot of time to spend time with animals by giving them the exercise they need. I am happy to host at our place. We have a spacious place. I love to stay active and take them out often. I can also go stop by and make sure your animals are loved!
About: I am a lifelong pet owner and have 2 senior dogs and one senior cat. I am comfortable with animals of all kinds and will treat your buddies like my own. I am also able to help if your animals need special care with meds etc. I am self employed so I can easily arrange my schedule to meet your needs. Just let me know what will work best for you! My dogs have a fenced in yard but I do supervise them outside due to the wild animals we have on our property. Our cat in an indoor cat for her safety as well. Your pet's safety is my highest priority.
About: Hello! My name is Tia and I grew up with animals in which I absolutely adored. I had many different kinds of animals growing up and have always been an animal lover / care taker. Since I work from home, I am very flexible and I am able to be at home at all times while watching your fur baby to ensure lots of exercise and best care! I have a Cavapoo who I absolutely adore. I trained her myself and she is extremely friendly and loves to meet new friends - come play with us! I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule which gives me loads of time to play and take care of your fur baby! I am available most days from 7-7 however if you are in need of a sitter earlier or later than these hours, please ask and I can try and accommodate. I live in a house with a yard however I go on many walks per day with my own little one and would love to take your fur babies as well! I also have ample space for them to play in our house.
About: Experience: I've got over 1000 hours of hands on dog training and handling experience, and I absolutely love anything with four legs (even the hairless ones)! I've been a dog trainer for around 5 years, plus have around 100 hours of additional education. I am very well practiced in positive reinforcement training (meaning I never use punishment) and rewarding good behavior. As well as a dog trainer, I've also spent time as a dog bather. One of my favorite parts about training is earning the trust of the animal and seeing them become more comfortable around me and just existing in the world. Pets mental and physical health: I loooove being able to provide enrichment for pets! Enrichment is basically letting your pet interact with the world around them by encouraging them to use their senses, and practice behavior that is innate to them (think running, sniffing, chasing, etc). This not only helps get out their energy, but helps mentally tire them out. Over all it creates a more satisfied pet! This is one of my favorite parts about pet care because it allows you to really get to know the animal and understand them on a deeper level. I've owned 4 guinea pigs over the years, and am very familiar with their illnesses, health issues, and care. I am comfortable providing some medical care for them, like syringe feedings/medications. If your piggy needs different kinds of medical attention, please let me know when we initially talk. I am more than happy to learn about caring for other exotics (seriously, I learn about animal husbandry for fun). A note: while I am not super familiar with reptiles, I am more than happy to learn to about their care. Daycare and Boarding: Because I practice responsible pet care, I limit my boarding and daycare to one pet family (example: if you have two dogs, I'm only watching those two dogs, and other no dogs from outside your household). This allows me not only the ability to prevent things like potential fights between dogs who don't know each other, but also allows me the ability to give your pups more care and attention. This also explains why my prices may be a bit higher than other sitters. I'm so happy to get to meet you and your pet! I'm currently pet free (my last two pets passed away recently), so my entire day will center around your pets. I love walking dogs and caring for animals! I love spending time with animals. One of my favorite parts of training is working with the animal to get to know them and their needs, and fulfilling them with management and enrichment. I love helping animals exercise those brain muscles that they may not otherwise be able to!

Rachel was a proactive communicator, sharing pictures and updates, sometimes almost at the exact moment I found myself thinking, "I wonder what they're up to?" I was able to relax and put my focus where it needed to be: with my extended family for my mom's memorial service. I cannot express what a gift it was to not have to worry about this sweet little guy for my first time away from him. As I look ahead to future travel, I'll check in with Rachel first.”
