About: I have been responsible for, owned, or been caretaker of animals of all sizes (cats to buffalo) for 50+ years in the Pacific Northwest, Florida, and in Texas. I love animals of all kinds (except reptiles) and am comfortable and confident in their care. I am semi-retired and have a very flexible schedule. The job I have now only requires that I have internet access, so I am able to work from just about anywhere. I spend the summer months in the Pacific Northwest and the rest of the year traveling from Southern California to Key West and up through the Carolinas. I am happy to follow client's instructions and respect your pet's routines and expectation. I know that love is just as important as fresh water and a regular feeding schedule. I'll take the time to make sure chins are scratched, tummies are rubbed, balls are thrown, and time spent just loving on them is prioritized.

About: I have had a cat for over 20 years and a dog for the last 7 years. I am sensitive and caring towards animals and would like to help you out by looking after your fur babies to give you piece of mind. I have experience giving medicine to both dogs and cats. My previous cat required a pill daily. I have also given medications to the dogs and cats I have watched per the owners' instructions. I work part-time from home right now, so I have plenty of time available for pet care including dog walking and checking on pets. I walk my own dogs every day. About: Whether your pup is young and full of energy or on the older, calmer side of life and likes to lounge, I am your woman! I currently provide daily care for my friends 7 year old Shih Tzu mix, as well as my neighbors 4 year old Husky. I would say I definitely understand Dogs more than I do people. I love talking to them, taking them for long walks, playing fetch and teaching them new tricks. I am also a Cat lover! If you have a cat or kitten that needs to be fed, litter box cleaned or just loved on, I am available for that as well. I've worked in an animal shelter, several veterinary clinics, and attended veterinary school for nearly 2 years. I'm very comfortable with giving medications and senior care. I’m able to care for pets daily during the week and over the weekends, and I can provide care in the middle of the day as well. I think it’s so important to care for a pet in their own home where they will feel the most comfortable, and I strive to keep to their routine to ease anxiety. I also have three varying sized crates as well as two dogs. My dogs are let out every 1-2 hours. One of my dogs is crated when I am not home and my other dog does not have to be crated. About: I have been dog sitting for my neighbors and family members for around 2 years now. I love taking care of animals and making sure they are being well treated when being cared for. I'm great with walking all kinds of dogs weather they are older and need to walk slower or fast past hyper dogs. I'm also great at looking after cats feeding and playing with them. About: I've been an animal lover as long as I can remember. When I was 9 years old, my Dad got me my first Golden Retriever for Valentine's Day 1998. Her name was Star. I wanted a Golden because I fell in love with Shadow from "Homeward Bound". Star was my best friend, and we trained together in Canine Good Citizenry and agility. She could jump through hula hoops, over my arm, and she knew all sorts of tricks. I also love horses and used to spend summers and spring breaks on my cousin's farm in Apopka, Florida where she was the Barn Manager for a gal who rode in the Irish Olympics for the Equestrian Team. I had my own horse when I was younger, but we sadly had to sell her when my mother passed away when I was 9 years old. I've had dogs and cats off and on my entire life, but sadly, I just recently moved to Oregon and do not have any pets of my own right now for a few reasons: The first is that I'm working diligently to get established in Oregon and currently have a Mon-Thursday schedule with the City of Salem that requires me to be away from home for over 10 hours a day. Second, my roommate has a sick and aging cat who is not doing well, and we do not want to stress him out by adding pets to the house right now. Hopefully, my roommate will be able to reconsider when things change, but for now, Bok Choy (and his comfort) is our main priority at my house. Third, I'm hoping to move my Dad out to Oregon within the next 3 years, but for now, he is living alone as a retiree in Georgia, where I grew up. He is very attached to our dog Hank, and even though I'm definitely Hank's favorite person, I couldn't stand the thought of separating those two because I felt like my Dad needs Hank more than I do as Hank is his reason to get up in the morning! I miss Hank more than words can express, but I think we made the right call because Hank does not like being alone, and Dad can accommodate this as he is retired whereas I am in the main career years. I have previous dog sitting experience, but sadly, my identity was hacked, and I lost all of my photos on my Facebook account and lost many of my contacts through my old email address that I lost access to. I have also done amateur dog training and hope to get a professional certification in dog training within the next 12 months. I am happy to house sit during my work week if you only have cats that need tending after office hours. I won't be accepting house sitting for dogs unless there is an understanding of my work schedule and the dog has access to a doggy door and a yard or puppy pads are used during the day. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who can be with your dog during the business day instead of requesting me if you have dogs and need assistance during my work week (Mon-Thurs). This is a Side Hustle for me, but it also the more meaningful of my jobs because I love animals more than anything else in this world, and being around them is good for my mental health. I currently work Monday-Thursday until 4:30PM so it will be difficult for me to provide overnight dog sitting until Thursday after 5 PM unless your dog has access to a doggy door or puppy pads. I would highly recommend finding a sitter who does this full time if you need assistance during business hours Monday-Thursday. When I am at your house, your pet is my priority. If they need exercise or stimulation, we will make that happen. I will almost feel guilty for getting paid for it because it will literally be my pleasure. I will ask you to leave detailed instructions that will make my life easier and expect you to extend trust to me to do my job well. I understand it is difficult and that trust is earned and not freely given, but we need to have a clear discussion before you leave about what your expectations are so I can decide If I can meet those in a way that will not cause me undue anxiety. If you need someone after 5PM Mon-Thursday or anytime on the weekends, I am your sitter!

I grew up with cats, dogs, and chickens. My earliest pet care was at the age of 10 taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats while they were gone. In my adult life, I've had one cat and 4 dogs. My current dog is a Standard Poodle named Percy. He's a huge love! I know your pets are your heart, too. I strive to give your pets my best love and care while you're gone, just like I would want someone to give Percy! I currently work from home, so I can pop in or stay over easily.
