About: What does your cat need? Food? I know I'm little more than opposable thumbs that know where the kibble and treats live. Play? I'm fully prepared to run around with a string and congratulate the kitty on catching me. Meds? Swaddle. No matter what is needed, I will read the cat's behavior to respect their boundaries. I pet them only when invited to do so by the cat. Hissing can be waited out or skirted around. I have no desire to make a cat's day worse.
About: I was raised in a dog and cat household and loved taking care of them. For the brief time in my adulthood that I did not have a pet, I would dog/cat sit for a various families often. I am fond of elderly dogs/cats and have taken care a few (including giving medications, shots, cooking specific diets, etc). I am also comfortable feeding farm animals such as horses and mules. I work full-time from my home allowing flexible time to play and care for animals. My outings are usually quick errands around town so my pets get a lot of dog mom time! I am available to do longer stays given that I work remote and love making pets feel safe and comfortable whilst their owners are away. I have a fenced-in yard and 2 friendly dogs (lab and border collie mix) to keep your furry loved one company! I also play music often for myself and for the dogs. A Bachelors in Animal Science and Post-Bach in Rangeland Science allows me to care for the most exotic of animals. About: Growing up in a tight community, I’ve learned early on how to take care of neighborhood pets. I became very well known as reliable, kind and respectful. Since moving to Oregon I’ve missed pet sitting so I’m trying to get back into it in a newer environment. I work early morning shifts at a local coffee shop in downtown Bend, so I am available after 1:00 on all days except Mondays (6:00) and Thursdays (3:00). I trained all three of our huskies to sit, shake, lay down, pray, roll over, etc. They are also all leash trained. We were nervous about leaving Maisie with someone but she started sending pictures and videos almost immediately and put us right at ease. We didn't worry the whole time we were gone.
