Cara was wonderful from the first meet and greet and throughout her stay. She accommodated changes due to the passing of our one dog and comforting Luna during her transition to being a single dog. Luna had tummy issues and Cara stayed with her and gave her medication. I would absolutely use Cara again.

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs throughout my life, personally owning a large Newfoundland and an Australian Cattle dog, so I have experience dealing with extremely high and low energy breeds. Im a life long animal lover who is currently pursuing my undergraduate in Animal Sciences with a focus on pre veterinarian medicine. In the past Ive dealt more with larger zoo animals like wolves and lynx's but Im always a sucker for some cute dogs. Im currently working mid week, Im available for boarding at any time however during M,T,Th,F bathroom breaks will be limited to 4-8 hours. During weekends and Wednesdays Ill be available to give your furry friends all the attention they need throughout the day. I live in a condo with no designated yard however there is an unfenced yard available for use and dogs will be taken on frequent walks, at least 2 times a day but this varies on your dogs needs. Im open to all dog sitting styles so if you like your dog crated at night or left to roam around just let me know. If your dog has specific preferences or needs please just specify before dropping them off.

About: Hello! I’m Kelby, a lifelong dog and cat lover with years of experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, and today I share my home with a Chihuahua, a Labrador, a cat, and three family cats. My pet care journey started in childhood walking neighbors’ dogs, helping friends with their pets, and pet sitting whenever someone needed a hand. By 18, I enrolled in Animal Behavior College and turned that my passion into a profession, becoming an ABCDT-certified trainer and pet care provider. I’ve now worked professionally with dogs and cats for over four years, and I especially love helping anxious, fearful, or reactive pets feel safe and understood. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and give them all the love and care they need. Pet care is part of my everyday life. Not only as a pet parent but also working professionally with dogs. My dogs and I love to go to the beach, parks, and anywhere we can find that’s fun to sniff! My schedule can be complex at times so please reach out for more information. Your pets safety always comes first. I will keep a close eye on your pet along with their body language to make sure they’re comfortable and happy in any situation. With my CPR and First Aid training, I’m prepared for emergencies, but my goal is always to prevent issues before they happen.

About: As the proud owner of a beloved Chihuahua for 17 years, I understand that pets are truly family and deserve patient, loving care. I’m experienced with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and special needs, including seniors, puppies, and pets requiring extra attention. I have a calm, gentle approach that helps anxious animals feel safe and comfortable, and I’m confident administering medications and providing attentive care for pets with medical needs. I currently serve as the Treasurer of my HOA, where I successfully advocated for and helped establish policies allowing emotional support animals in our community. I treat every pet with the same compassion, respect, and care I would want for my own. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my current lifestyle because I have a very flexible schedule and the ability to dedicate my full attention to your pets and home. I’m currently between professional opportunities, which allows me the time and availability to provide consistent companionship, walks, playtime, medication administration, and attentive care throughout the day. When caring for your dog in your home, I prioritize safety, consistency, and lots of love. I’m comfortable with crate training, feeding schedules, walks, playtime, senior care, special needs, and administering medications when needed. About: I’m a veterinary technician with hands-on experience from working in a shelter, caring for both dogs and cats of all temperaments. I’ve worked with everything from small breeds to large working dogs, as well as reactive, rescue, and more independent or “grumpy” pets. I’ve also cared for friends’ pets for years and have had dogs my whole life. I’m comfortable with routines, medications if needed, and reading animal behavior to keep your pet safe and stress-free. Happy to provide updates and photos while you’re away. I’m currently in school part-time, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I can accommodate daytime visits, evenings, and weekends, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine. I provide care in your home so your pet can stay comfortable in their own environment and routine. As a veterinary technician, I’m attentive to behavior, safety, and any specific needs your pet may have. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind.

Erin is the most amazing soul I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had a different rover sitter scheduled weeks in advance that was supposed to stay in my house with my 2 frenchies while I went back to MD to visit with family. The night before my flight I received a message from the sitter saying he could not make it & the booking was cancelled, needless to say I was panicking trying to find someone last minute. It turns out that was the biggest blessing because Erin saved my entire trip! She is so wonderful! She was willing to stop by my house an hour after contacting her so I could show her where everything was and so she could meet Loki and Diesel. She treated my frenchies as if they were her own! She sent me updates, videos and pictures multiple times a day! I always worry about someone watching my dogs because I have one frenchie who is jealous and shows aggression towards my other frenchie. That did not deter Erin, she accepted the challenge and navigated everything with patience and grace! I feel so lucky that the initial rover sitter canceled less than 12 hours before my scheduled flight because it lead me to Erin!

About: Hi! I am Sara, and I just moved back to Naples after being out in the Southwest for the past few years. Originally from upstate NY, I lived in NYC for over 13 years, then I moved out to San Diego, then down to Naples, then out to Phoenix….and finally decided to come back to Florida to settle. However, I travel a lot as well, so I am able to provide services in other cities depending on my travel schedule. Growing up, I had a rabbit and a mini dachshund as pets. Currently, I am the proud mom of four adorable guinea pigs and 3 dogs (2 Corgis and an Aussie shepherd). My experience with animals is extensive. I began taking care of dogs and cats at a young age and by middle school I had a successful neighborhood pet-sitting service. Additionally, I attended farm camp (yes, that exists haha) from age 6-11, and at 13 years old, I started working at the same farm (as farm staff and as a counselor for the kids' day and overnight camp programs). The farm was primarily a dairy farm, home to a herd of Jersey, Guernsey, and Holstein cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, guinea hens, ducks, and of course....plenty of dogs and cats. I worked there over 7 years and loved every minute of it. The responsibility and work-ethic that comes from animal husbandry is priceless - not only do I greatly value manual labor, but I also appreciate the dedication and daily grind that is intrinsic to farming and to ensuring that dependent animals' basic needs are met. Despite having lived in NYC, I still manage to spend time on farms and I travel extensively throughout the U.S., visiting and helping many friends/family that have different animals. Most recently, I have worked on a cattle ranch in Montana and goat dairy in Missouri, which were both a wonderful experiences. Since I have a full household of pets (and an human child) I am unfortunately unable to host any pets in my home. However, it is quite easy for me to get to places around the area, so I am happy to come to your home and take care of your pets. Sometimes, this is even better because then the animal(s) get to stay in the comfort of their home and don't experience the stress of a new environment, coupled with the absence of their owner! I am a very active person - so I look forward taking dogs out for long walks and playing with them! I prefer that we schedule services a week in advance (as specified), but I know that emergencies happen and sometimes you need somebody last minute. I am happy to occasionally provide last-minute services, especially since I have a somewhat flexible work schedule and my mode of transportation is quick! Most importantly, I have a deep respect and love for all animals. I look forward to meeting your creatures and you can rest assured that they will be in fabulous hands! I work full time but my hours are flexible. Additionally, I travel a lot, so I will update my location if I plan to be in a certain place for more than 5 days. Please do not hesitate to reach out with a booking inquiry. I always do my best to accommodate. The guinea pigs are in a nice hutch. The dogs stay in the kitchen when I am not home and they sleep inside the house.

FAQs for House Sitting - Miles City

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 364 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Miles City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Miles City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Miles City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Miles City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Miles City. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
