About: Hey there! My name’s Anika and I love spending my time with animals. :) I’ve been pet-sitting for the past year or so for different people in my neighborhood and have helped so, sooo many animals and people with their pets over the course of my life! I started asking myself what field of work I could see myself doing regularly while also working on the skills I’d like to develop, and being around and taking care of animals wins every time. My family in Chicago adopted my dog over 10 years ago now, I adopted a cat that I’ve had with me in LA for the last 2 years and I grew up with birds! I even had a fish for a very brief period of time before passing it along to someone else. Ensuring that my pets are always safe is my no.1 priority, I am constantly googling things to make sure everything is alright and up-to-date with them. I also work mostly from home- I own my own Airbnb business which I can do from anywhere which allows me to be at home with them often. I am also a musician so have to travel for that from time to time, but usually not for extended periods of time, just for a few hours in the day/ night. I love nature and all living things and will do everything in my power to make sure your babies are happy, safe and entertained with me! As of right now, I take care of 2 of my neighbors pets whenever they need me to. I just got done with baby sitting for my upstairs neighbor Kate over the last 3 weeks. Her frenchie mo is the sweetest boy ever, we went on walks every day, I fed him salmon, put in his ear medicine nightly and massaged his hind legs. When we weren’t outside or playing some sort of game/ activity, we were just chilling with one another while I worked on my laptop. I’m able to be with your per as much as needed, and more than just take care of them, I make sure to bond with every animal I interact with and give them plenty of love so they don’t feel the lack of your presence 🥺 At the end of the day, they’re all just lil babies. I am able to stay anywhere for any period of time as long as I am able to earn more than my monthly rent during said duration. I live with my cat in an apartment with 3 other roommates, a dog and another cat. I’m able to have pets here during the day time because we have a backyard, movie room, gym and co-working space but it gets challenging at night because there’s not really a place for them to sleep since my cat sleeps in my room. I’m down to do absolutely anything it takes to make sure that your loved one is okay while you’re away.

I work for Wag for a few years until I decided to go independent with my dog walking/boarding business. I have boarded and walked many dogs from Indiana to California and I am proud to say that your puppy will be well taken care of and have loads of fun while staying with us and our 3 rescues, Logan, Deebo and Westley. From puppies to senior, all are welcome here. We have tons of toys and, since I embroider custom pet portraits and work from home, I am able to take them for potty breaks often and also offer 2 to 3 walks during the day. I’m looking forward to be your puppy’s new friend. I’m currently working embroidering custom pet portraits which give me the flexibility to be home almost all day and care for your puppy as it was mine. I live in an apartment however I am home most all day. If I have to leave for an hour or so, I can crate your puppy for the hour I am out or let it roam free as per your preference. Your puppy will also have the company of my 3 fur babies to keep him/her company. They are allowed in the bed or furniture.

I am a nursing student, but I am currently working on my bachelors online, and as a result free all days to assist with pets. About: In addition to being raised with dogs I rescued and trained my own puppy in 2013. Olive was a treasure I had until she passed this last March at 13 years old. I’m not ready for my own dog just yet but it’s my hope that I can use my experience and my love of dogs to help others ☺️❤️ I work from home so my routine currently is to get up at 8 to take my cat (dog friendly) for a brief walk around the block. I typically have meetings 9-12 and I take three hours for personal errands/potential dog walks. I hop back on meetings until about 6/6:30 and then my evenings are generally free As a long time dog owner I approach pet boarding and care with the patience and love that an animal needs in order to be understood. It is imperative to consider the pets position and feelings in a new environment, as most of what people consider to be problematic behaviors are in fact preventable.

She also sent me pics for my dog during the stay and my dog looked pretty happy. I will definitely hire her again if I have another appointment in surrounding areas.”
