“Rodney is fantastic! It was our first time using Rover and he made us comfortable. He was able to answer all of our questions, and address our concerns before our trip. He went above and beyond while staying with our pets. My dogs loved him and he was very communicative and provided constant updates. I would highly recommend Rodney, and plan on using him moving forward!”

About: While I'm more used to cats, I do also love dogs. Have a dog with separation anxiety? I can keep them company for a while! I will be working part-time Monday-Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm. I will be available to watch your pets from 9:30 am-1:30 pm on those days (despite what options this site gave). On Saturdays and Sundays I'll be available from 3 pm-8 pm. If I am unable to watch a pet at any time, I will let you know ahead of time by at least a few days. I currently own a cat, Higgins, who is a big lovebug and fairly food motivated. I've been in charge of feeding him breakfast and dinner since we rescued him in 2015, along with scooping his litterbox. He's also needed nightly medication for some stomach issues, so I have experience giving him a pill. I can feed your pet, clean up after them whether they have a set schedule or not, and provide medication if necessary.

“Ellen made my trip actually feel like a vacation when I didn’t have to worry about my dog, she sent pictures, and kept my house the way it was like I never left! Cannot recommend her enough and will use her again and again!”

“Lauren is great! Our pets warmed up to her right away at the meet and greet, she was on time, and she sent me lots of updates. It's so nice to be able to get away while knowing my babies are in good hands! Thank you Lauren!!”

“Nicole and her family were wonderful. She was very responsive and always sending updates on our pups. They were very accommodating when we had multiple flight delays getting home. We appreciate everything they did for our family.”

About: I’m reducing my current job schedule to part time as a mental health therapist in order to engage in my passions. With this in mind, I would love to direct my empathy, patience, and connection towards any animal(s). I currently own 3 cats and would want nothing but the best for them if I were to be away and so I will use this as my guide when keeping care of your pets. I have been around animals most of my life and have taken care of dogs, and cats primarily for family, friends, and strangers throughout my career experience. This is my first time on an app so please feel free to ask any other questions as it is welcomed! I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule so I would like to say I am very flexible and can work with most schedules at this time. I live by treating others the way you want to be treated, so if I am at someone else’s home, I will be respectful on the space and property. I will be taking care of and treating your animals as if they are mine and will make sure to bring them some comfort while they’re guardian(s) are away!

“We started our experience with Evan with a 10 day house-sitting. Our two dogs warmed up to him right away in the meet-and-greet. He even has experience with epileptic dogs such as ours, so that was reassuring. Evan also was responsive to each dog's quirks. When we returned, the house was found as good as we left it. We'll be reaching out to Evan for future arrangements.”

“Anne did a fantastic job. She's highly professional, timely and tidy. We booked Anne to stay at our place for a few days while me and my wife went out of town and when we got home the house was in great condition and the only trace was some tired puppies (which is great!). Would definitely recommend. No complaints here”

About: Have been around dogs since I was born. Enjoy spending time playing fetch and taking them for long walks and giving treats out for great behavior! I currently work at U of M hospital and have a work schedule that my hours fluctuates from week to week. Some shifts are 6:30am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, 8:30am-5pm. I do have weekends open and available. I do not have a fenced in yard and would stay at your house or pick up your dog to take them for walks or visit and play with them at your house.

About: I’ve never not had a dog in my life. Currently I have a turtle, 2 dogs and I watch my bosses dog all the time. I’ve always been good at taking care of animals and sensing their emotions and things they may need. I have a zoom class Mondays and Wednesdays starting at 6. I work Thursday - Friday but I can work visits or walks in between shifts. I’m very familiar with all different types of needs for your animal(s). I’ve crate trained dogs my whole life, I’m very experience in walking dogs, I walk strong pit bulls on a daily basis so any size I can handle.

About: I have a love for animals big and small. I enjoy exploring and making new experiences with animals. I have experience with elderly and medical needs animals. I work as a nanny and have sometimes weeks off and would love to have an animal to take care of and take places with me. I have a house with 13 acres, for dogs that are not recall trained I use a 10 ft leash and always make sure leases are on before the door opens. I have a separate room for my own animals that way if rabbits or cats are meet with aggression all animals will be safe.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, where I learned the responsibility and care that goes into each individual pup! I recently worked for Boston Dog Butlers in Boston, and have moved home for the summer! I’ve been trained on all sizes, different breeds and different needs of dogs all while putting their safety first! I recently moved back to Michigan for the summer and picked Rover back up before I move to Europe in a few months! I have all weekday and weekend availability! I have dog sat many of times with a mix of routines— I feel comfortable having the dogs out and about, but can also crate them if necessary! I make sure all food and cherished items are out of reach, and I make sure to actually be with the dogs so they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t!

About: My family always had dogs and cats while I was growing up. I sorted the pictures of the dogs I have known the longest to the shortest, with a photo of me at The Hemingway House in Key West FLA petting a cat. First is my childhood dog named Fezz who passed away in 2020. Second is my brothers beagle, Jack. Next is an old friend’s tan Pitbull named Louise. Then there is my dad’s white puppy named Piggie. The next photos are my friend Andy’s dogs. Two Bully Breeds. The white one is Biggie and the grey one is Gianna. I have watched them a few times and I walk them together. Biggie is a rescue and is considered a high risk dog. He has bit 10+ people, but he loves me so much and is very comfortable around me. I wouldn’t say I’m a dog whisperer, but I certainly have a way with dogs. I have watched my brother’s beagle as well a few times. When I lived in CO (about a decade ago) I watched a German Shepherd and an Alaskan Malamute. They were a handful and hard to walk together as they were both pretty big and strong, but I was still able to do it. I work remote doing life and health insurance, so I’m just looking for a side job to supplement my income until I build my book of business up. I could watch them at my house as I have a huge fenced in yard, but I would rather meet the animal at home where it’s most comfortable for them. When I watch Andy’s dogs, I watch them at his house.

About: I have been caring for animals since I was ten years old. Walking, feeding, paying, and bathing dogs of all breeds. You can count on me to make sure your dogs and cats are well taken care of. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur family! We will play, get in plenty of walks, and enjoy our time together. I am fully confident in my ability to keep your pets safe, happy, and engaged. I am very respectful of boundaries and will do my absolute best to make sure your pet has a great and comfortable time.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs of all kind, worked for Wag! And have worked at a few doggy daycares as well, I have obedience training experience, grooming experience, dispensing medication experience, and I absolutely just love dogs overall! I’m also working on building up a clientele to eventually grow into a fully operational doggy/cat daycare/hotel. Get up I feed my fish first thing, then I let my dogs out, put food in my dogs dish, let him inside to eat, then it’s play time. I have 5 acres, with a huge fenced in yard, i do have chickens, turkeys, goats, dog, and 3 donkeys. I will crate at night if boarding apon pet parents request.

“Kristy is an excellent pet sitter! She goes above and beyond to make sure our pets are well cared for when we are away. I never have to worry Kristy is with our dogs. She is quick to respond and sends updates throughout her stay. Our dogs are thrilled to see her and enjoy her company. It’s comforting knowing I have someone who truly cares for my pets when I am gone.”

“Brittany was very responsible and sensitive to the needs of our dogs. She sent lots of pictures to us and kept us updated on how the dogs were doing. I would recommend her without concern!!”

About: I’m Kourtni! I’m looking for a part time commitment taking care of your pet! I am new to Rover but I frequently watch friends pets. My whole life, animals have loved me. They’ve always preferred me over others. I’m great with dogs, cats, and small animals. I live in a manufactured home park, so I frequently can take your pet on walks and by the river with little to no traffic. I stock up on treats. I can administer medication to your pet. I’m not claiming to know everything there is to know about animals, all I know is I love them and care for them well and they love me! If you think I’d be a good fit for your animal please get ahold of me. :) As of 12/27/22: I am now only taking house sitting clients that are okay with me bringing my pet as well. He is potty trained, listens very well and has never been around a dog he doesn’t like. I’m an independent contractor and run my own small business, so I make my own schedule with my typical work life. Therefore, I can usually work around different schedules depending on every animals different needs. My pet is alone usually around 6 hours per day. I usually give him some snacks to keep him occupied. I do not have a fenced yard currently but hoping to at some point. Living in a park, I keep my dog on a 40 ft in ground leash, but while dog sitting I usually take the other dogs out on their walk leash.

“Hailey was great! We used her as a sitter for our dog on our wedding night! She was kind and communicated well. Gunner had a great time. We definitely will be using her to watch him again!”

“Libby has and continues to be one of the most responsible, kind and loving pet caregivers I have ever met. Having grown up connected to fellow animal lovers, Libby knows first hand what an important part of the family our pets truly are. Libby gives every animal love, respect and compassion as if they are her own. I highly recommend Libby to care after your pet if you want to be confident that your pet will be given the same love and care you give your pet every day.”

Morgan H.
“I’ve seen firsthand just how amazing she is with animals. She doesn’t just “watch” your pets, she connects with them. She’s the type of person who gets down on the floor to play, pays attention to the little quirks that make each animal unique, and genuinely enjoys their company. She’s incredibly patient, dependable, and she always seems to anticipate what my dogs might need before they even need it. She’s watched my dogs countless times, and each time they act like she’s their favorite person on Earth! Whether it’s going for a long walk, cleaning up a mess without blinking, or just sitting with them when they need company, she’s all in. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to leave any of my dogs in her care and that’s saying a lot coming from a slightly overprotective dog mom. Now, if my dog could leave a review, it’d probably go something like this: “10/10 would recommend. She gives the best belly rubs and kisses, calls me cute even with eye boogers and bedhead, and lets me sniff the same patch of grass as long as I need. Legend.””

Aveline A.
“Aveline is one of my bestest friends. She has babysat my dogs while I was on vacation before and as far as I’m concerned she did a great job and everyone was taken care of. I know she has had animals her whole life and she really does care. She recently got her own personal dog and he’s one of most well trained dogs that I know. I think she would do a great job in Rover considering her experience with babysitting and house sitting her bosses kids and dog.”

Julie B.
“Julie took such great care of our dog Gus! She took him in for multiple vacations out of town and loved taking him places and relaxing after a long day out! She was very responsive to all our questions and made sure he had everything he needed for a great stay!”

“Aubrey is wonderful ! She is amazing with both my dogs. Always nice to work out details with. Aubrey takes the time to actually play and socialize with my pets. 10/10, highly recommended 🌟”

Christine R.
“Christine is an excellent pet caregiver who is very responsible, dependable, and kind. Our Covid puppies had limited socialization during lockdown and have a lot of anxiety meeting new people even at 4 years old and they warmed up to her quicker than anyone else! Her patient and positive attitude I believe is what helped them feel comfortable with her. Our cat, who also is more selective and people she likes, adores her. I highly recommend Christine as a loving caregiver, especially if you’re looking for someone with a big heart, great communication skills, and hard-working. One of the best people to have ever assisted us with our furbabies. 10/10!”
