About: I’ve had a furry friend my entire life, and have looked after animals that need immediate or intense care, or are in need of a home for 12 years. I work from home and am able to take breaks as needed to care for pets. I have most things delivered and rarely leave home for more than an hour at a time. I have a fenced in 1/2 acre backyard where pets can run around and play! I live in a low traffic area making it ideal for taking walks.

About: I’m reducing my current job schedule to part time as a mental health therapist in order to engage in my passions. With this in mind, I would love to direct my empathy, patience, and connection towards any animal(s). I currently own 3 cats and would want nothing but the best for them if I were to be away and so I will use this as my guide when keeping care of your pets. I have been around animals most of my life and have taken care of dogs, and cats primarily for family, friends, and strangers throughout my career experience. This is my first time on an app so please feel free to ask any other questions as it is welcomed! I’m currently working part time with a flexible schedule so I would like to say I am very flexible and can work with most schedules at this time. I live by treating others the way you want to be treated, so if I am at someone else’s home, I will be respectful on the space and property. I will be taking care of and treating your animals as if they are mine and will make sure to bring them some comfort while they’re guardian(s) are away!

About: I’m knowledgeable in breed-specific needs and maintain consistency to keep them mentally and physically happy! I have previously taken dog behavior courses and am familiar with dog body language. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages! No dog is “too much!” I am comfortable with administering medications and providing grooming for long haired/high maintenance breeds. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs so I am comfortable handling all ages. I have a full-time job but am more than happy to fit time in to take care of your lovely fur baby. My typical shift is 8:00-4:30pm M-F. I have open availability on weekends to provide housesitting! If you are looking for constant care (pet cannot be left alone for 4 hours or more), I am happy to provide that however, I do charge a constant care rate if during the work week as I will need to take those days off and I will need to recoup lost salary. For constant care pets, I do require at least a month’s notice ahead of time so I can get that time off to accommodate. I will never take a sit if my work schedule cannot accommodate it—your pet’s care and safety is extremely important to me. I will work with you to decide if I am the right fit for your pet’s needs and routine. Nothing is worse than upsetting your pet’s routine and comfortability! I now offer drop-visits as well! This is great for people who might need someone to check in your fur baby a couple times a day but does not need around-the-clock needs. I am happy to drop in before work (8am) and can drop by after work! If you’re someone who works longer shifts, this is perfect for you! I am comfortable crating your pet if requested but they are also more than welcome to share a bed with me if they are used to sleeping with you! If you have an unfenced yard, I will keep them on leash at all times. If you have a fenced yard, I will stay out and monitor them until they are ready to come inside. Doors will be locked at all times whether I am in the home with your pet or if I’m at work. If you have any home-alarm systems, I will use them as well.

About: I’ve owned multiple dogs my whole life, from our current German Shepherd and Siberian Husky to the two pugs we adopted when I was in high school to the lovey dog we found as a kid that we named Scooby-Doo because he looked just like him. I’ve helped care for all of them from walks around the block to feeding time to going outside just for potty and play time. I’ve also helped out a few friends with their dogs since high school while they were away. I’m currently a stay at home mom with a decently open schedule after my kids go to school in the morning and once my husband gets home from work during the week and am available during all hours of the weekend. If you are comfortable with your pets coming to my house I have two very friendly dogs who love play dates if your fur babies play well with others and a big back yard and a fenced in side yard for plenty of running around room or games of fetch. If I’m watching your dog(s) at your home I will follow whatever schedule you have for them on top of making time for play, walks and love so that they don’t feel neglected in any way while you are away. I also am more than comfortable with giving them baths if need be.

About: I have a huge passion and love for all animals! I have my own small dog, who’s my whole world. He’s 5 years old and does everything with me. I have volunteered at vet offices and love helping and being around animals whenever I can. I love helping others and being able to provide and assist people to make their lives easier. About: My whole life my parents have had dogs so I’ve grown up around dogs since I was an infant, this also means that they’ve had quite a few different puppies over the years and I have helped train them. I am the go to person for all of my friends and family. If they need someone to watch their pets while they’re gone I absolutely love seeing their animals and taking care of them and I treat everyone’s animals as if they’re my own and do the things that I would want others to do for my pets. During the school year, I work as a teaching assistant at an elementary school. This means that my summers are very open and free to watch others pets and give them plenty of love and attention. I care for pets in others homes as if they were my own pet, I will make sure to play with them and feed them and get them outside, but also just cuddle them if they like that and give them the space if they also would prefer that.

About: I’m Kourtni! I’m looking for a part time commitment taking care of your pet! I am new to Rover but I frequently watch friends pets. My whole life, animals have loved me. They’ve always preferred me over others. I’m great with dogs, cats, and small animals. I live in a manufactured home park, so I frequently can take your pet on walks and by the river with little to no traffic. I stock up on treats. I can administer medication to your pet. I’m not claiming to know everything there is to know about animals, all I know is I love them and care for them well and they love me! If you think I’d be a good fit for your animal please get ahold of me. :) As of 12/27/22: I am now only taking house sitting clients that are okay with me bringing my pet as well. He is potty trained, listens very well and has never been around a dog he doesn’t like. I’m an independent contractor and run my own small business, so I make my own schedule with my typical work life. Therefore, I can usually work around different schedules depending on every animals different needs. My pet is alone usually around 6 hours per day. I usually give him some snacks to keep him occupied. I do not have a fenced yard currently but hoping to at some point. Living in a park, I keep my dog on a 40 ft in ground leash, but while dog sitting I usually take the other dogs out on their walk leash.

About: Hi there, I’m Brittany. Animals make me happy. When I see a pet, I see a child. They are a member of the family. They have the sweetest souls and biggest hearts and I wouldn’t treat them any other way. I have one dog and I was raised with 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have always been an animal lover and I always will be. Every day I take my dog on at least one walk and many times I walk him multiple times per day. I treat my fur babies like family and how I would want to be treated. I am not only here to help you during your busy schedule but to become a friend to you and your fur baby. To house sit during longer durations, I can travel to anywhere. I would love to bring my golden retriever with me if your pets like to socialize and make new friends, he loves other dogs and gets along with them great, he is very social and has been to many dog parks and households with pets, but if not that is ok and my mom can help me care for him while I am gone. Also, I have a boyfriend that loves animals and has 2 children of his own, I would love if he could come hang out with me during my stay if the family was comfortable with it, but if not I can leave and visit him from time to time at his house. For drop in visits, I can assist at my base rate within a 7 mile radius and if it exceeds that I will ask for an additional rate to help with gas reimbursement towards a further commute. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 8, when I got my own puppy. With my family i have 2 dogs, a Beagle and a Puggle. Growing up, I also had a Yellow Lab. I have pet sat multiple times in the past few years, both overnight and daily check ins. I love dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, and treat all dogs I encounter as if they were my own. I have a very open schedule that allows for me to pet sit at any time throughout the day, and any day of the week. I would not be able to care for pets in my own home, only in client’s homes. I am willing to fulfill whatever needs are presented by each pet, whether that be getting to know them slowly to allow them to build trust, snuggling with them so they aren’t lonely while their owners are gone, or any other needs they may have.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 13. I have a puppy of my own who lovesss to socialize. I love to go on walks and car rides and go the park and can’t forget Starbucks and puppicinos. Taking dog and cat naps are cool too! I currently work 3 days a week so I have a lot of free time . About: Hi there! Thanks for checking out my Rover profile. I do this as adjacent work to being a mental health clinician and donate a portion of my earnings to our local humane society. I was a holistic and emergency veterinary nurse for 7 years and worked in specialty medicine for 4 years as well. I have a lifelong passion for dog breeds and training in particular, as well as the herding and working groups. I enjoy taking lots of photos and providing thoughtful updates for my dog parents. I see each dog as an individual and give them the best kind of care given what I pick up from them and how I interact with them during our time together. I am comfortable administering medications as well as tending to special needs, behavioral, and medical issues. Please note: I do not offer boarding in my home at this time. Pet care is the sole focus on my time at home, so the pet care literally is the core of what I do (and everything else works around it!). I have 3-4 windows of time each day devoted to meeting the rotating care and exercise needs of the pets in my care. And I love doing it! I live in east Jackson, near the Waterloo Recreation Area. For dog walks, I offer dog walks and hiking at Waterloo. When caring for pets in your home, I ask that clients provide written instructions about any dietary or environmental restrictions or concerns as well as behavioral and health considerations I should take into account when caring for your pet.
