Cat Sitting Merton

About: We lost our sweet Blue (11 year old labradoodle) 3 years ago of bone cancer, and have recently become empty nesters. We LOVE dogs, and our cat has missed his canine companion. Our yard is over an acre, and includes a wooded area. We are also located near beautiful trails that we can walk to. Both of us work from home the majority of the time, and we will only open our home up to furry house guests if we are sure that at least one of us is available to be home the majority of the day. Your dog will love the extra love and attention that they will receive, and we tend to be a bit lenient with letting dogs on furniture/beds. Most of our neighbors own dogs, and there are young children next door. That being said, a dog that is friendly with other dogs and not wary of children would LOVE a vacation with us. I am working part time, and my husband works at least 1/2 of the time from home. We are flexible with dog schedules, and have experience with "elderly" dogs with special needs. We have a large yard (over an acre), which is not fenced in. Our neighborhood connects to walking trails and parks, so your dog will have ample exercise opportunities. We are extremely flexible with our schedules, and can adapt to meet your dog's current routines.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for years! I had dogs growing up and I have my own cat now. I also have my own turtle! I work full time but am able to let dogs out depending on distance throughout the day. I am more than willing to spend quality time with your animal! I am able to stay/visit at houses to support your pet. I am unable to bring cats or dogs into my house due to my cat being a solo cat (her preference).

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. I’ve cared for cats since childhood, regularly looked after a spirited but lovable German Shepherd, and spent time around various animals including livestock. Currently, I work at a premium dog kennel and daycare, where I’ve gained valuable experience managing dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. What truly sets me apart is my deep rooted love and comfort around animals. I connect with them easily and genuinely enjoy their company more than anything else. Their well-being is always my first priority. My work schedule can vary between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., but pet care still fits naturally into my routine. I work at a dog kennel/daycare, which gives me the unique ability to bring dogs with me if I have a long shift or if they need all-day supervision. Dogs are evaluated for daycare, and if they’re not comfortable around others, they’ll go into private play—where they get one-on-one outdoor time every few hours. The accommodations include beds, water bowls, and even free dog food if needed. I cover the cost myself, so your pet’s comfort and care are always a priority. We also offer baths at my work, which could come in handy for some dog owners. Since I’m unable to bring pets into my home, I offer in-home sitting and care. I believe the best care comes from following the pet owner’s instructions closely—no one knows their pet better than they do. I’m here to provide exactly what they feel is best for their pet’s comfort and routine. Through my work at a professional dog kennel, I’ve gained valuable experience recognizing signs of stress or discomfort in animals. If a pet seems uneasy with me or their environment, I adjust immediately to ensure they feel safe and secure. Additionally, if you're a beginner pet parent with any questions or concerns about caring for your pet, I’m happy to offer guidance and advice to help you feel confident in your role as a pet owner.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for friends and neighbors for almost 10 years. I have helped raise puppies while nannying, and have dog sat overnight for years! I have an energetic lovable 9 month old lab of my own who would love to have a friend to play with! I’ve cared for sick pets, puppies, and adult dogs. I’m experienced with bathing pets, love long walks and playing in the yard. I always make sure there is plenty of enrichment time. I am available during all hours of the day as I’m a stay at home mom currently. I’m available all hours of the day on weekends. I have a large yard and a lovable pup who can be a companion to your pet! She has gone to daycare for months so is fully socialized and always wants to play with anyone who is interested. We have a camera in our crate room to make sure everything is alright when we are away. We have a full room that is pretty much empty designated for dog toys and treats! I will make sure your pet gets all the love and attention they deserve while you are gone!

About: • I’ve had and cared for dogs my entire life (~25 years of experience) and cats for the past 10 years • Comfortable with all breeds and ages • Previous dog-walker for an animal shelter • 2 years experience as a veterinary assistant • Specialty: caring for high energy dogs / working breeds (ex: shepherds, malinois, and my own doberman!) • Other skills: animal behavior recognition, training, general first aid, senior and puppy pet care, medication administration/management I currently work part-time, so i have plenty of availability throughout the week, though my work schedule is different each week. Just let me know when you’d like help and we can work together to find what works! I am available for drop-ins. I am NOT available for overnight stays. I understand it can be a weird feeling having a new person come into your home (especially for your pet)! As a guest in your home, I am respectful and patient as your pet gets comfortable with me. I try my best to follow your pets lead, while also being a leader for them. I’ve cared for dogs and cats in other people’s homes many times and prioritize the safety of their home. For example, making sure it’s locked up and left how I found it when i leave, making sure the collars and leashes are secure before walks, and ensuring pets don’t escape when i open the door haha!

About: Hi! My name is Marinda and I chose to be apart of Rover because I have always loved animals. I serve as a manager at a local veterinary hospital and have years of experience when it comes to dog watching. I’m hoping this is an opportunity I’ll be able to take care of others dogs! I have always enjoyed all types of dogs and seem to get along with them all as well. Hope to be able to be apart of your pets life! I am a full time employee who would love to have a second job but doesn’t have the time for it, so, I fill in my easy days with Rover! It’s easy to manage with my own hours! First and foremost I read about the pet and what the owners have to say about them. This will give me a good idea for what I am getting into when I enter the owners house. I will already know how the dogs are going to act and I will be prepared. I never leave the doors unlocked/open unless advised by the owner. I will do exactly what the owner has said to do. I will always double check a dog is secured with their leash when going outside, I will also be aware of the weather and how that might switch the dogs needs when going outside.
