“Scott & Ashley were wonderful. They took in our dog Kiko and my daughter's dog Ellie, while we were all on vacation in the UK for 10 days. They sent daily updates with photos and they have a great yard for dogs with a fenced in backyard. Scott & Ashley took both dogs for walks twice a day and the although we brought crates for both dogs, they ended up sleeping with both of their boys, which was fine with us and I'm sure Kiko and Ellie loved it! We will certainly contact Scott & Ashley through Rover.com, when the need arises again.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and in our home, pets are truly family. I’m a mom to one little boy and also a proud dog mom to my fur babies. My family and I are all animal lovers, and we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. We have rescued two of our family pets, one who has since passed and our current dog, Ollie. Because of Ollie, we know firsthand how important a safe and secure yard is. We live on an acre in Sussex with a fully fenced-in yard, which gives dogs plenty of space to safely run, play, sniff, and enjoy being outside. My husband and mom both work from home, so there is almost always someone here. This allows pets to have frequent potty breaks, outdoor time, attention, and company throughout the day. We love making dogs feel like part of our family while they are with us. I care for every pet the way I would want someone to care for my own, with patience, love, attention, and lots of updates. Whether your dog loves to play, relax, cuddle, or explore the yard, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved during their stay. I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule. I am available for pet sitting at a clients home. I am also available for early morning walks or after work, and even drop in visits during the day. I care for other’s pets as I would want anyone to treat my own pets. I believe our pets are part of the family and I would want anyone to treat my pet to the best of their abilities.
“Sherry was so amazing in accommodating my senior pup within her home. Tedi was very comfortable and was able to enjoy all of her favorite things with Sherry from naps on the couch to car rides. I appreciated the photos and updates I received and could not have felt more comfortable being away from Tedi for an extended period of time. Definitely will be asking for a repeat stay should her schedule allow!”

“Brittany took excellent care of our Rescue Dog Lacie. She sent me updated pictures of her playing and running with the other dogs. I'd recommend her to anybody that needed to board their Dog ?.”

“Yolanda is amazing! She accepted my last minute request when my sitter cancelled the day of. This is my second time Marvin stayed with Yolanda and I can tell he has a great time! We will definitely be booking with Yolanda again. Thank you so much!”

About: I have had pets my entire life. At this time, I am petless, so I would love to love on your pets. Family and friends have relied on me to watch, walk, and play with their furry friends. I and my husband are retired so we have a lot of time to spend with your dog and will walk them a few times a day and play with them. They will always have someone with them. I take younger dogs for a morning, afternoon and night walk. I adjust the number of walks and distance if they are older dogs. I also play with them. They can sleep on the bed and furniture.
About: We lost our sweet Blue (11 year old labradoodle) 3 years ago of bone cancer, and have recently become empty nesters. We LOVE dogs, and our cat has missed his canine companion. Our yard is over an acre, and includes a wooded area. We are also located near beautiful trails that we can walk to. Both of us work from home the majority of the time, and we will only open our home up to furry house guests if we are sure that at least one of us is available to be home the majority of the day. Your dog will love the extra love and attention that they will receive, and we tend to be a bit lenient with letting dogs on furniture/beds. Most of our neighbors own dogs, and there are young children next door. That being said, a dog that is friendly with other dogs and not wary of children would LOVE a vacation with us. I am working part time, and my husband works at least 1/2 of the time from home. We are flexible with dog schedules, and have experience with "elderly" dogs with special needs. We have a large yard (over an acre), which is not fenced in. Our neighborhood connects to walking trails and parks, so your dog will have ample exercise opportunities. We are extremely flexible with our schedules, and can adapt to meet your dog's current routines.

About: Cats have always held a special place in my heart—I genuinely believe they’re the perfect animal. I’ve cared for cats my whole life, and I currently have three fur babies of my own (though we don’t live together at the moment, they’re still everything to me). I treat cats like family—each one with their own personality, needs, and quirks. I understand how sensitive and particular they can be, and I truly enjoy earning their trust and affection. To me, caring for cats isn’t just a task—it’s personal.
“This was the first time that Mikaela watched our elderly cat (Milo) and could not be happier with her services. She went above and beyond in order to take care of Milo, first navigating a different route to our home when the fire department had the main road blocked. On another day she trudged up our driveway in snowdrifts up to her knees to get in our house. We will definitely be using her again and we are looking into boarding our dog at her home in the future.”

“Jessica was amazing! I have two cats who both need medication, one of whom is a sassy diabetic. Jessica was patient enough to deal with my cat even when she was grumpy and didn't want her medication. She was able to easily handle all the information I gave her and followed their routine, the cats were happy and healthy when I returned. I would highly recommend Jessica to take care of your furry family members.”

“I can’t recommend Maddie highly enough! She stepped in at the last minute over the Christmas holiday when I had a family emergency, and she was absolutely fantastic. Maddie took amazing care of my two cats, Isabella and Coco. Coco is notoriously shy and has always hidden from previous sitters, but Maddie worked her magic and managed to coax her out—something no one else has been able to do! She made sure both cats ate well, stayed happy, and received plenty of attention. Maddie also kept me updated with daily videos and photos, which gave me such peace of mind during a stressful time. Maddie is a true professional and clearly loves animals. I feel so lucky to have found her and will definitely be booking her again!”

“We found Rover while we were looking for someone to care for our two young cats while we went on a 2-week vacation. It was our first time using a service like this and were admittedly pretty nervous. In the end, we couldn't be happier with how things went with Allison. Our cats are nervous around people other than us, and within just a couple of days, the photos Allison sent showed both cats so happy and relaxed. Allison was professional and so easy to work with. We cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Melita did an amazing job taking care of my dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. I really appreciated the updates and the peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter and would happily book with her again in the future.”

“2nd time having Paul as our cat sitter - couldn't be happier. He takes great care of our 2 cats, sends regular updates and pictures; our cats are really comfortable with him! Can't wait to have him take care of our cats again in the future ☺️”

“Madison took great care of our cat. Arrived at the agreed upon time, fed and played with him. She even cleaned up a little mess he made. Great experience. Will hire her again.”

“Mary and Hanna are AWESOME! We were so worried about leaving our baby alone so we looked into other alternatives. Leaving him with them was the best choice we could have made. Loads of cute pics and the opportunity for him to socialize with other pups. Would completely recommend Mary and Hanna to anyone looking for the best pup care!??”
About: Hello! My family and I love animals. We've been on Rover since January 2024! We currently have 2 indor cats and have backyard chickens (in coop) that are pets and lay eggs for us. We live in a quiet Hartland neighborhood in a cul-de-sac that is very low traffic. Part of our yard is fenced for play and potty breaks, and I love taking walks around our neighborhood. The majority of the week, my husband is working from home or I am home. The longest your pet may be left is 6 hours if staying with us during the work week. So usually someone is there to spend time with your pet! We are available any day of the week for boarding. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac. I always practice sit-stay when opening the door to prevent bolting out. Part of our yard is fenced and outside the fence your pet will always be leashed. If I am away for a short period and it's needed for safety or per your preference, we do have a large crate and an enclosed pet gate.

“Just like everyone else, Teddy and I love her! Great home away from home for your fur baby. ? We’ll be coming back over and over again. I’m pretty sure he would’ve been happy to move right in with her permanently ❤️”

I have a fenced yard and am close to a local state park for long walks. I also live in a very walkable subdivision. I don’t mind a well behaved pet on furniture.

“We left our GSP (Willow) with Himaja and her family for the day. Wow! What an awesome experience Willow had. She was pampered and spoiled by the whole family, especially their daughter Myra. Willow thoroughly enjoyed her stay and we are so thankful to have found such an amazing dog sitter. We will definitely be using Himaja in the future!”

“Heather was absolutely wonderful with our little sweet pup. He had a walk, breaks, fun with his ball. Heather was extremely accommodating and flexible. Once you meet her, she outs you at immediate ease. Will happily use her again!”

“Excellent, so helpful. Very friendly, constant communication and photos! She took care of our baby and even offered to bring her treats & brought up our garbage cans! 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I've lived with animals my entire life. Growing up, we had five dogs, four cats, bunnies and guinea pigs, snakes and lizards, fish, and chickens. Currently, while living at home in the summers, we have snakes, lizards, spiders, a cat, and three dogs, one of which is mine. My dog Winston is a service dog in training that my mom and I are owner-training. While I'm in no way a professional trainer, I can help with teaching or maintaining the basics with any dog. I'm currently home for the summer from school and waiting on an application for a part-time job. I am free most of the day right now, as I haven't started working yet. So, I can come over and take care of any pet's needs most any time. I can take care of your animals' needs any time, whether it's taking them on a walk, letting them outside, feeding, cleaning up, or playing with them. My dogs at home are crate trained, so if your dog also stays in a crate at certain points of the day or night, I can easily crate them.

“Paul helped me out a lot in a pinch! It was a last minute booking, I was from out of town, and my family made dinner reservations. Paul was flexible with the times and went out of his way to accommodate our situation.”

About: As of recent, I no longer have any pets of my own full-time and will enjoy getting to spend time with yours! I have had pets almost all of my life, and always more than one at a time. I have experience caring for cats, dogs, small indoor pets, and birds. I also provide care for chickens, and feeding care for horses, goats, and sheep. For the past 8 years I have done overnight, extended stay pet sitting, drop in care, and boarding in my home for dogs or small animals who come with their home (for example guinea pigs). I can also provide transportation and care for animals attending special occasions or wanted as a part of photos (for example at a wedding). I have experience giving both oral and injected medications to dogs and cats. I work full time 8:30 - 4:30 but do work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can provide care before and after work as well as during the days when I work from home. I am also free most weekends. Because all animals are different, my first priority is to provide the type of care and services specific to their individual needs. I do have a large yard, but it is not fenced in. I love to go on walks / hikes with dogs.

Dana was so gracious, welcoming and accommodating- making sure she knew my dog's preferences and comforts. Her two pugs were adorable and Sammy seemed to enjoy having them as playmates! I loved all the pictures and updates. My sporting dog can be a handful but Dana seemed to manage his care with ease and kindness. Her backyard & deck is beautiful. She is a gem of a dog lover! I reside in Illinois. I needed her services while traveling...I may need to pay her to "relocate" ha-ha. Thank you, Dana. My dog transitioned home beautifully. You're the Best!”
