“Leah was great! She treated our kitty, Sammie, so well, and went over and above, giving time not just for feeding but fun time and play time. She sent us great pictures too. Cannot recommend Leah highly enough. She is our forever pet sitter! 😸”

“Amada is great! We had her walk our blind dog, Brinkley, for several days and she was very attentive to his needs. We loved her pictures, communication, attention to detail, and updates. We will definitely use her again!”

“Sam is one for the best pet sitters you’ll ever find! She is responsible, reliable, incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and truly a cat whisperer. Even my shy cat took a liking to her right away! Excellent communication and her beautiful spontaneous pet photos are a big bonus! She also watered my plants and they thrived. I came home after nearly three weeks away to two healthy and happy cats. I commend her to you 100%!”

About: Have fostered, owned, and cared for dogs most of my life. Work from home in a townhouse and am flexible with any size dog care. I work from home, so out of home walks I schedule before/after work and/or at lunch time. Dogs being boarded, walks are more frequent/flexible. We can go to a dog park after work time (if allowable by owner). Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I provide a loving, secure, and stress-free environment where your furry friend can thrive. Whether we’re enjoying playtime, going on walks, or snuggling up for quiet moments, you can rest assured that your pet will feel right at home. I always use safe, pet-friendly practices and keep a close eye on their well-being. I understand how important trust is when it comes to caring for your beloved pets. Communication is key, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, giving you peace of mind every step of the way. My goal is to create a nurturing and fun experience for your pet while making your life easier.

About: My entire life I have always had such a love for all animals. I love to be very sweet to them and know ways to not look dominant or intimidating when meeting a new pet. I love animals; I have worked in dog shelters and also have had a few pets, including my 14 year old beagle who I love dearly. My friends and neighbors have asked me to watch their pets or walk their dogs and I always enjoy doing it and feel comfortable! I have plenty of time that I have available during the weekday and weekend. I am a very flexible person that is able to switch up my schedule when needed. I love to keep pets entertained by playing with them, being sweet, or just being loving to them. I feed my pets at home on a schedule and whenever I have watched people’ pets I feed them exactly how I am instructed. I make sure pets are safe and happy and feeling comfortable with me.

“I can't recommend Zosha highly enough. I scheduled daily visits while we were on vacation for our cat Chloe to be given her medication and some love - and Zosha did such a great job at both! He went out of his way to give her plenty of affection and even treats on her puzzle toy. Everything was clean and left in great shape, Zosha was super communicative, and sent lots of pictures! Chloe is definitely a fan, and so are we. Thanks again, Zosha!”

About: I’m very careful with puppies and senior care. I have experience with abused animals and I have the perfect touch for them bc I’m a massage therapist. I’m absolutely flexible trustworthy and respectful of all animals. I just lost my dog from cancer so I will spoil your fur baby with love. I have a beautiful huge back yard that’s fenced. Inside lots of space too. It was used for a daycare once it’s very Very safe.

“Carlea is absolutely amazing. She really spent time with our cats and was even able to get our scardy cat to come out for pets. This has NEVER happened with any other sitter. It speaks volumes to know that they trust her. She does more than just put food out, she gives them the attention they are missing when we arent home and that's really the most important aspect of finding care for our fur babies!”

About: I have had dogs all my life, big and small, that I have been able to create unbreakable bonds. I currently have a Doberman Lab mix named Duke with my boyfriend. One of the most important things I believe every animal should have is enrichment time and activities. This helps with reducing stress and increasing a healthy mind and body. I have extensive experience training dogs in enrichment activities that have grown intelligence and obedience. I also have considerable experience with walking and sitting all sizes of dogs and am confident in my skills to keep the animal safe and out of harm's way and build a trusting relationship with them. Lastly, with the experience of my own animals aging, I am familiar with handling and loving on older and disabled dogs who might need daily medical attention. I currently work from home with a very flexible job that allows for a healthy work-life balance! I usually take meetings and calls during walks or other activities. Safety is my number one priority with any animal. An animal must feel safe in an environment to live comfortably and ensure the safety of other animals and humans. I have experience gaining the trust of dogs who have been in unfortunate prior situations, and the number one thing is to remember to have patience. Creating a relationship or bond with an animal should be on their time and terms to avoid any backtracking in progress. As for the environment, I believe a calm and enriched space is essential for the body and mind of a dog.

“Quincy was amazing! She kept me up to date her entire visit and took us on last minute. The dogs had so much fun with her and she provided amazing care. She showed our dogs so much love and affection during her stay, it took all the anxiety off of me as I was away for work. Would definitely book again!”

About: As an alum from The College of William and Mary, I currently work as a full-time DJ, looking to make some extra money on my down time. I am a HUGE dog lover and also love many types of animals! With over nine years of experience, I've cared for my family's pets, dog sat, and cat sat for my friends. As someone who runs their own business; performance, communication, accountability, and having a great connection with my clients are really important to me. As an active person, I enjoy playing soccer and running around with my four-legged friends. Lounging around is fun and relaxing, too. I've had experience and am comfortable with a variety of sizes of pets from small to large. I'd treat your pets as if they were my own, not only because I'm an avid animal lover, but because that's how I would want my pet to be treated. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry loved one(s)! Note: First COVID vaccine shot received late March and second one scheduled for late April.

About: Hi, my name is Michelle! I am a current medical student at George Washington University. While I don’t have any pets of my own, I have loved and cared for the pets of my friends and family since high school. They have relied on and trusted me to walk, feed, and pet/house sit while on an extended vacation or just a weekend getaway. I live in an apartment complex with a dog park but our neighborhood is also walking distance from a paved trail. I am pretty flexible on costs and cancellations since I am new to Rover and would be doing this for fun and a little extra income during my free time. Please feel free to reach out anytime, and I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! Since I am a student, I am able to walk/drop-in on your pets on certain weekdays from 10 am to 3 pm or anytime on the weekends. My priority is creating a safe, stress free, and fun environment for both you and your beloved pet! I consider myself responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions, and as such, I will do my best to follow your pet’s schedule so both you and your pet feel comfortable.

About: Hi there! I’m so excited to meet you & your friendly companion! I've been working in the DMV area since 2019 & currently WFH with my "quarantine dog"! I've grown a huge heart for cats these past couple of years as well & currently help my significant other take care of his family's three cats as well :) Whether your furry friend needs a sitter to accompany them or just a friend to play with while you’re busy, I’m yours! If your pet needs a friend to play with, our dogs can have playdates together upon request (my cavapoo is extremely friendly!) More than one pet!? Absolutely no problem! I have plenty of experience with other pets, such as cats, rabbits, aquamarine animals, and more. Just ask away & let me know exactly what you and your pet need so I can be more accommodating to your needs. Feel free to reach out with more questions or concerns! I'm currently on a hybrid work schedule (2-3x a week) but have some flexibility to stay at home and/or come home early to walk & play with your pet! I have a puppy of my own so I'm familiar with the typical day with a dog :) My flexible work schedule allows me to drop in and out of houses to tend to your pet at most hours of the day as well. I make sure to keep an eye out on the pets at all times, making sure they are safe and getting the attention they need. I follow walking/playing/meal schedules provided by each owner strictly and make sure all pets get enough TLC while I'm with them.

“Shanelle was FANTASTIC! She sent me plenty of pictures from her visits, followed my funky feeding schedule and diets for my doggies and even called me when she thought they may have had a taste of something they shouldn’t have. I would highly recommend and will use again!”

About: I adopted my first cat, Marshmallow, in 2018, and my second cat, Sesame, last year in 2024. Although I don't have a dog of my own, I love dogs and have some experience walking and dog sitting small and medium sized dogs. My first experience dogsitting was for my in-laws' corgi, and have since also watched and walked dogs for friends. Through Rover, I now have a recurring weekly doggy daycare booking, with walks every 2-3 hours. I work from home most of the time, which gives me the flexibility to watch or walk your dog, or play with my cats, or to drop in and visit your cat. I would love to drop in to play with and take care of your pets, or offer doggy daycare to your dog. For a first day, I would take the day off work to make sure everything goes smoothly, and I would keep my cats separate from your dog via closed doors or pet gates, unless they demonstrate that they are friendly. I don't have experience yet with dogs over 40lbs, but would be happy to meet and take care of any smaller or medium sized dogs! I work from home most week days, so I can take care of your dog or cat while home! I would just need a day or so advance notice to make sure I don't schedule on a day I'm not working from home. I don't have a car, so I mostly rely on public transit or ride share, or, if needed, zip car or rentals I have a condo with two bedrooms, and a living room. I would separate my cats from your pet unless they get along (in which case they could socialize but supervised). I would walk your dog or play with your cat at intervals throughout my day, as my schedule tends to be pretty flexible when working from home. And I can feed your pet(s) on whatever schedule they require.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a child. I was never really the kind of kid to offer to mow neighbors’ yards but I did walk dogs and pet sit for neighbors and family. I think pets are family members and enjoy helping make sure your furry family members are safe and happy and looked after if you are away. I currently am in school and have an open schedule and I’d like to use that time to hang out with some new animal friends I have a fenced yard and plenty of space and a friendly 10lb Yorkshire terrier named Bear. Plenty of space for a kennel/crate so your pup can be comfortable and have access to activity and play

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I’m reliable, professional and friendly. I’d love the opportunity to take care of your pet! I currently work full time. I’m available weekdays after 4pm and on weekends for dog walking, potty breaks, and/or caring for dogs at your house. I can pick up your dog(s) and take them for walks either around your neighborhood or dog park; can take care of your dog(s) at your house as well based on preferences.

About: First of all I am deaf and I wear a cochlear implant on my right ear. I am late deafened so I can speak and I use the hearing aid very nicely. My family has always owned dogs and I'm the type of guy who will just sit in my chair quietly and the dogs like to lie down at my feet, I have a calm vibe. I completely understand how important a good, long walk is to a healthy happy dog. I provide endless belly rubs and ear massages, but I know when to be firm and demonstrate that alpha leadership (usually a firm "no" in a solid voice does the trick). Dogs are our best friends, but they also know who is their best friend when you treat them that way.

“Benjamin has been helping with our 2 dogs over a period of 22 years. He is very gentle and kind with dogs. He has taken care of them many times while we were away. He has fostered dogs when he lived out of town for a job. Knowing he didn’t have enough time early in his first job to have a dog full time, he still devoted some of his free time to walking and caring for dogs over weekends. He his well experienced and truly cares about dogs and enjoys spending time with them. He is responsible and caring and I highly recommended him for this position.”

I'm not sure who wanted to be there more The dogs are her lol”

Diana W.
“Diana takes the best care of my dogs and is wonderful and reliable. She is very sweet, easy to work with, and and clearly loves her pup-clients. She's been willing to take them last minute when I've needed, gives them lots of personalized love and attention, and treats them as though they're her own. She's developed sweet and unique relationships with both of them and they love her - it's very sweet to see! I'm obsessed with my two fur-babies and feel comfortable and happy leaving them with Diana.”

Michelle L.
“Michelle L. is the hands down best dog sitter I have ever used. My dogs are the center of my world, so I won't leave my dogs with just anyone which makes picking a dog sitter an extremely important task. I have 3 westies who are high energy, sassy, and demanding, and Michelle took it all in stride. The dogs were able to keep to their scheduled routine and were totally comfortable with her. I won't look anywhere else, Michelle will be my only dog sitter until she says otherwise.”

Deborah S.
“Deborah loves dogs so well! I fully trust that she will love on every pet that she’ll have the pleasure of meeting. I feel safe and at ease to have Deborah care for any of my pets! I know she’ll shower them in love and care.”
