“Jorge and Alejandra were AMZAZING!! I have a very anxious girl (dog) Roo and they made sure she was very comfortable and felt right at home! They were great about sending updates and putting my mind at ease! Roo had a great time and was very tired when she came home! I felt very comfortable with her staying with them! They truly treated her like part of the family and I will be contacting them when needed again!”

“John was fantastic. Extremely communicative, took excellent care of my senior golden that requires medications and shorter walks due to ACL surgery. 10/10 recommend booking with John and we will be using his services again.”

“This is my second time booking with Helena & Nathan! Louis loves doing zoomies in their backyard and came back home exhausted. He had a minor paw injury before dropping him off which required them to clean his paw every night and they had no problem doing it. Thanks so much!!”

“Aly did a great job. Sent a few updates throughout the week and monitored for any issues and checked in with any concerns. First experience with Rover and was pleased! Easy to coordinate drop off and pick up. Would use her again if we need a pet sitter!”

“Christine did wonderful with my pup Maddy! Maddy was so happy and I could tell was loved on the whole weekend. Would definitely recommend and rebook! Thank you so so much!”

“Jason and Becky gave my dog the highest level of attention and care. My dog is a shepherd mix with relatively high energy. They took the best care of him while I was gone for a few days.”

“As usual, Musa was fantastic! He always updates us with photos of Rex and on how Rex is doing. Most importantly, Rex so enjoys staying with Musa. If Musa is available we will always have Rex stay with him. Definitely would highly recommend him.”

“Karen has watched Ruby & Albert a couple of times & she is fabulous. She takes them for lots of walks and snuggles them. Plus she is great communicating with us and telling us how they are doing. Karen is wonderful.”

“Jose took great care of our dog. He was incredibly responsive and sent daily photos which was very helpful since our little dog was staying with him for the first time. We will definitely call on Jose to sit for our dog again!”

About: I offer a calm, attentive, and personalized care experience for both cats and dogs in the Tysons, McLean, and Great Falls area. With over 6 years of combined experience, I take time to understand each pet’s rhythm — from gentle brushing and quiet companionship to playful moments and frequent photo updates. My goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. I work from home, so I have plenty of time during the week to care for your pets and give them lots of love and attention. On weekends, I love being outdoors—if your dog enjoys adventures, I’d be happy to bring them along for some fun and fresh air! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely, keep the environment safe and clean, and treat your space with care. I provide regular photo updates so you always feel connected. I occasionally offer boarding at my home for small dogs and cats who can peacefully coexist with my friendly resident cat. I do slow, careful introductions to ensure a stress-free stay. Please note that I do not board large dogs.
“We left our senior (15 yrs), dog in Michelle's care for a weekend, and couldn't have asked for a better environment, and family. Michelle was kind, extremely responsive (key criteria for us), and kept us updated throughout the weekend. We felt content knowing our dog was comfortable, and having fun with her new friends at Michelle's. Keep up the great work, Michelle!”

“I took my dog Scout to a meet and greet with Susan and her dogs before committing to a stay. Susan asked lots of questions and watched Scout as he explored her yard and house. I felt comfortable leaving him with her and her dogs because she seemed like a caring person and she paid attention to the details about Scout that were important to me. She sent pictures and updates to me while I was away. When I picked him up I could tell that he liked her and that he was happy! Scout had a great time at Susan’s house and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter in the area.”

“Donna is the best! My girl Finny is almost 17 years old and Donna is so patient and kind with her. I always know Finny will be safe and treated like family when I’m away.”

“Suzi was very kind to my old Bucky. She took special care of him with his particular needs and limitations. I highly recommend her and will certainly use her again when I have the need.”

“Fantastic! Stayed in touch about Pippin while we were gone (and was tolerant of his health quirks!) and was very flexible in planning our drop-off/pick ups. We came back to a healthy, happy, dog and never once worried about him.”

“Gail, I can't thank you enough for the great and loving care you gave our Nala. This was a long stay and she isn't used to being with anyone besides the family. Getting the photos and videos every day and seeing that she was happy and felt like home with you, made us feel at ease and relaxed. It made our overseas vacation more enjoyable, knowing that she was in such good hands. Nala would definitely want to stay with Gail again.”

“Carlos went above and beyond in the care and love he provided my dogs. They were regularly walked throughout the day and enjoyed their time with his dog, Sasha. He sent me many, many photos and videos showing them eating heartily, walking the sidewalks, and sleeping soundly. I highly recommend Carlod to others. You will have peace of mind.”

“Molly was very well cared for and because of the many pictures I received I saw how she was pampered. She is a very happy little dog. If/when I need boarding for Molly I will definitely request Hyunbang P.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Merrifield
Helena and Nathan were good communicators, sent photos and were flexible for Bruno's stay. They accepted our last minute request and also helped get his medication from the vet when we were out of town. Would recommend. Bruno seemed to have enjoyed his stay at the house with other dogs.

Zosha and his partner took such great care of Jefe! We booked last minute and they were so accommodating and sweet about the whole thing. Their communication was amazing the entire time, and I could tell Jefe was in really loving and caring hands. We’d absolutely love to book with them again in the future. I’d definitely recommend them to all fur parents!

Sandika and her husband did a fantastic job watching Dash! They shared tons of photos, updates, and videos every day, and kept him so stimulated with lots of walks, fetch, and playtime with neighborhood dogs. They were flexible and responsive, will absolutely use them again!

Heather was extremely kind and diligent in taking care of Cinnamon for an entire week while we were out of the country. My husband and I felt completely comfortable leaving our senior dog with her. Heather asked many questions, since Cinnamon is 15 years old. She sent us photos and updates, but not too many, knowing we were on vacation. When we picked Cinnamon up, she was perfectly content staying at Heather's house, so I knew she had been loved and happy. We are so grateful we found Heather because we were able to enjoy our trip knowing Cinnamon was in the best possible hands. A million thanks!

We had a great experience. They were communicative, and kept us updated every day with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dog is still a puppy, so we know that can come with extra challenges, they took amazing care of him. We would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving and reliable sitter!

Jennifer is amazing and gave our two pups the most loving care during their stay! She is responsible and responsive and kept in constant communication with us through messages and photos. She also stayed on top of their medications and spoiled our dogs with lots of attention, walks, and play time. They bonded with her quickly and were comfortable in her home right away, even one of our dogs who has mild separation anxiety issues. We are super happy with the boarding experience and will definitely use her again in the future! Thanks!!!

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
