“Yesenia is such an incredible sitter! We have been sending our pup to her for a little over a year and each time my pup is even more excited to go. She is such a great care taker and was super flexible with us for day care scheduling when our work schedules shifted. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring person for their furry friend!”

“Yan was a great Dogsitter for my Theo. Yan sent several photos throughout the day and I could tell Theo was enjoying his stay and play dates with the other dogs. I definitely will use her servíces again, if she’ll have us back. ☺️”

“Kalena and her other dog crew were fantastic. Watson is a bit older, this year he will be 11. He gets lots of walks at home but this gives him other dogs to interact with more to break up his routine. We appreciate your attention and care of him.”

“Highly recommend! My dog has dementia which means he's constantly having his brains turn more and more into mash potatoes. Patches was able to provide exceptional care with all his special needs and I never worried about him bc he was in such good hands! 😻 Meow!”

“Stephanie was awesome! She took such great care of Enzo and was great in communicating on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures. She made me feel so comfortable leaving him for the day. I highly recommend Stephanie!”

About: I have experience watching dogs of all ages and sizes in NY and now Texas. I understand needs of dogs whether that be sensitive to noises, separation anxiety, etc - I’ve seen it all. Especially with my own six pound Chihuahua! Experience in administering medicine and training, I can help you and accommodate for anything you may need. I have tons of love to give and will provide an easy and calming experience for you and your family. I work from home and am able to give your pet 24/7 attention. Walks can be given every hour and the dog park at least once a day, if your dog likes dog parks. I am available every day and very flexible with scheduling. I live alone in a quiet house with a fenced backyard so there’s plenty of space for your furry friend to get comfortable. I also have a very friendly chihuahua that will be with me for any dog boarding. Your dog may sleep on the furniture or in a crate, whatever you prefer. I can administer medicine (no shots) and live within walking distance of a vet that I know personally, so this is the perfect place in case of any emergencies.

Experience with shy timid dogs that need a calm friendly companion to look after them! I currently WFH so have lots of time to spend with you pups! Available for day care and boarding week days and or weekends depending on need Live without any other pets so your pup will have a calm relaxing environment to stay and roam in (plus all the undivided attention!). “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ She was amazing with Waffles! I received tons of pictures and updates, which made me feel so comfortable while I was away. Waffles came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs. I will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter!”

About: I work from home, so your dog gets constant company and supervision - not hours alone in a crate. I have crates and beds set up in every room - bedroom, living area and right next to my desk in my office. I also have a dog hammock on the patio, so your dog can settle in wherever feels comfortable to them. I'm experienced with positive reinforcement training, including hand signals and treat-based cues, which works well for dogs who are shy, older, or still learning. I also have easy access to walking trails and a dog park, so there's always an option for exercise, whether your dog wants a calm stroll or more active playtime. I have a group of friends and their pups at the dog park that played with my pup Charli for years until I recently lost her to cancer. Dogs are family to me. I've cared for a dog through serious illness, so I understand what patience, routine, and gentle care really look like. I will bring that same level of attention to your dog while in my care. I'll keep you updated with photos, videos, and check-ins so you always know your pup is safe, happy, and loved. I work from home. I am available for boarding Monday through Friday. I am not available on weekends currently. In most cases, I can have a drop off scheduled for evenings on Sunday if necessary but pick up will have to be on Friday by 6pm. I do not have any pets currently. I just lost my 5 year old pup to cancer. She was my life. I trained her with hand signals. She was well behaved and my travel companion. I love dogs and have the patience and availability to care for them. I have a patio with a dog hammock for relaxing. I have two crates and multiple beds set up in different rooms - my bedroom, my office and the living room. Dogs are allowed on the couch and if they are more comfy sleeping in the bed, I'm ok with that. I have trails all around my complex that I walk daily for leash walks and a nice dog park. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs but still needs exercise, I have the freedom to go to the dog park during the day when the park is mostly empty. I have a group of friends that my pup played with at the dog park and it is a great community here.

“First time leaving my doge alone with someone who isn’t a best friend or blood related so this was a scare for me from the start tbh, but Amanda and Jared were super great! They were reassuring and welcoming throughout the whole process and sent photos every day I was gone multiple times a day and also even when I randomly asked bc professional paranoia is my superpower. They’re in a solid neighborhood with a wonderfully tall and sturdy (and pretty nice looking) backyard fence where pups hangout and everything. I definitely recommend them for anyone but especially for those Rover newcomers. Thank you so much Amanda and Jared. Y’all were awesome.”

“Hey everyone, Denise is the pet sitter you want for your pet babies! My dog Daisy was so excited to go to her home each day. Before we even got the truck stopped she would jump down to the floorboard ready to get out! Denise is so accommodating and we just felt safe leaving Daisy with her. You won’t be disappointed!”

“Olivia was a life saver! We’re out of town and had to visit the hospital so we had to figure out what to do with our dog! Olivia responded right away and we were at her house in less than 10 min dropping off our pup! She was very kind and we know our dog was well cared for while we were out. It was too easy! Thank you so so much Olivia!”

“Kara is fantastic! If I could add more stars I would. Everything I was looking for and more!! I have 2 high maintenance babies and she takes such good care of them at doggy daycare. I receive tons of pictures and some videos too which I ADORE! It truly makes me feel so much better while I’m at work because I know my angels are towing loved and taken care of. Thanks Kara and family! You have made such a huge difference in our lives already ❤️.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
